Amplio casa en 1. 5 acres con vistas a la bahía en Ephraim

Ven y disfruta de la cabaña caballo de la afición. Que sea su hogar lejos de casa. Estamos situados en un terreno parcialmente arbolada, con vistas impresionantes del puerto del águila. Que nuestra casa de propiedad privada / operada sea tu escape a la paz y la tranquilidad. Esta hermosa casa amueblada tiene todo lo necesario: una cocina cocina-totalmente equipada grande con encimeras de granito, un amplio salón para acurrucarse y leer un libro, ver la televisión por cable, DVD o conectar el ordenador con la conexión WiFi. Hay un montón de libros para elegir y juegos para los niños. Navegar a través de la colección de folletos, ideal para la planificación de las aventuras del día. El comedor tiene una mesa grande para reuniones familiares o lo utilizan para jugar a las cartas o juegos.

El cuarto de abajo alberga una cama de matrimonio con un cuarto de baño completo. Arriba hay tres dormitorios lleno de sol y otro baño. Cada una de estas habitaciones tienen dos camas individuales, todas ellas con un gran ventanal ya sea con vistas a la bahía o maderas.

En el exterior, la gran cubierta con vistas al patio trasero serena, completa con mesa, sillas y sombrilla. Relajarse en la terraza después de un ajetreado día o disfrutar de un café mientras se ve el paseo ciervos a través del patio. Por la noche, encender las antorchas y fuego de la parrilla para una gran noche bajo las estrellas.

Estamos convenientemente ubicados en Peninsula State Park, la playa y la costa sur del embarcadero donde se pueden alquilar barcos de pontones, motos acuáticas o botes de remo. Es sólo un paseo de 5 minutos al Parque Harbourside que cuenta con conciertos lunes por la noche y un parque infantil para los niños. Nuestra casa de campo que acepta mascotas tiene capacidad para 8 personas cómodamente, con un montón de espacio para sus amigos peludos también. Situado justo por encima de distrito histórico de Ephraim, nuestra casa está a poca distancia de todos los lugares de interés como galerías de arte, tiendas de regalos y la famosa heladería de Wilson. Sister’s Week

My three sisters and I recently enjoyed a Door County week together. This home was perfect for the four of us with room to spread out. We loved the quiet setting away from the busy road but yet just a few minutes walk to restaurants. We frequently had coffee on the patio and enjoyed the deer and piliated woodpeckers every evening. Sandy was available and responsive to any concerns.

Late September vacation

Very relaxing setting! In the yards we saw whitetail deer, turkeys and a coyote. The area is wonderful for walking.

Nice location walking distance to the docks, restaurants, stores. Yet secluded peaceful, good for walking the dog. House clean very sweet decor. Will definitely rent again.

Beautiful, cozy getaway home

The Hobby House is adorable! The home is clean and cozy, and the location is perfect. We enjoyed long walks in the woods, strolls into town, and the nearby public beach was a hit with the kids. We can’t wait to come back.

Immaculate "Home" For a Family Vacation

This was my first time in Door County and about the 15th for my wife and her parents. The Hobby Horse was a house my in-laws had seen and walked past for 20 years but were never able to secure for themselves. My wife and I reserved this house as an anniversary present to them and for a vacation for our family. To put it mildly, this house was more a home than anything. It was absolutely perfect for a family of 7, including two small children. The location was perfectly set just a two minute walk from the main roadway up the peninsula and still gave great views of Ephraim Bay and a quiet forested lot in which to relax. Everything we could have needed was provided, the home was quiet, clean, inviting and it is absolutely a place we will be coming back to again and again.

A nice week in our happy place

We enjoyed our stay very much. The Hobby Horse Cottage was very clean, neat and well equipped. The central location is very convenient for all the favorite places in Door County. Great for families with a nice large yard.

Perfect Ephraim Stay

This house was just perfect for our Door County vacation. It has a great location- easily walk into town, playgrounds, restaurant, waterfront nearby. The house is very private and has a beautiful yard. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. I love to cook and the kitchen here had everything you could imagine- great cookware, blender, mixer, plenty of dishes. They truly thought of everything. The owners left us a bottle of wine and beautiful flowers and tomatoes from their garden. I hated to leave as it it so peaceful here. My grandson enjoyed seeing the deer in the yard. Thank you for everything!

Perfect vacation in Door County!

The cottage was beautiful, clean and perfectly located within a 5 minute walk to town. The kitchen was well appointed and the cottage was very warm and inviting. We immediately knew that we were going to enjoy our stay. Thank you, Sandy and Jim! We will be back.

Cozy farmhouse in the heart of Ephraim

Loved our stay at the Hobby Horse Cottage! Outside of bathroom towels, this property has every amenity you could think of! Spacious and spotless, and Sandy was so easy to work with, especially moving our week due to snow days. The views are spectacular, and we loved the short walk to the bay or Wilson’s. We look forward to staying here again!

Beautiful memories in Door County at the Hobby Horse Cottage

We spent 3 wonderful days in Ephraim at the Hobby Horse Cottage. The setup is beautiful, quiet and spacious, and only a couple of blocks away from the hustle and bustle of main street. The house is most beautiful, spotlessly clean, the decorations are extremely tasteful, the kitchen is well equipped and the library has books for every age and interest! While there is Wifi and a large plasma TV, we did not even think of turning it on : we sat outside on the patio, enjoyed the cool breeze and later fell asleep reading! Our gracious hosts left a bottle of red wine and some Door County coffee for us, totally unnecessary but totally appreciated by all 4 of us - 2 stressed out IT professionals from Madison, Wi and 2 young retirees from Sydney Australia. We recommend a stay here to everyone who wants to enjoy a quiet vacation in a scenic setup with all the amenities and comforts of modern life. We will definitely come back and enjoy summer by the lake, Alex and Roxanne Tomovici Fitchburg Wi Jane and Jim Heard Sydney, Australia

Absolutely charming!

This was our first time at the Hobby Horse cottage and we absolutely loved it! Such a lovely cottage filled with all the ammenities which made our experience so pleasureable. The 3 upstairs bedrooms all have twin beds and the master bedroom on the first floor has a full size bed which was a little smaller than we are used to but still quite comfortable. The kitchen area is just so charming with big windows which look out over the most beautiful woods and backyard. We so loved sitting in the back patio which offered privacy as well as glimpses of a deer with her 2 fawn that strolled through every day. We loved that we were able to bring our pets whom absolutely loved their stay too with plenty of squirrels and birds to keep them entertained for hours. Fresh picked flowers were left on the tables for us to enjoy - such a sweet touch. Just a quick walk to downtown Ephraim and a view of Eagle bay made it a perfect location. We felt so welcome and will definitely come back if we are able to secure a week of a cottage which is very popular. Thank you so much! We don’t want to leave.

This was a perfect vacation spot. Clean, spacious cottage and fun adventures in Door County.

My family and I spent a week at Hobby Horse Cottage in Door County. The cottage was the perfect size for us, clean, and very enjoyable to return to after a fun day biking, sailing, shopping, hiking, exploring, and eating in Door County. We would definitely recommend the cottage to family and friends and hope to be back.

Great!

Charming. Very cozy. Quiet. We could walk downtown for breakfast, coffee or burgers and ice cream for dinner. It had everything we needed or wanted except that we needed to bring our own towels. Having flown to Wisconsin it was not handy. Since the bedding was included it would have been great to have had towels inclded. Our hosts were wonderful and accommodating.

Beautiful clean house and great location

On behalf of the 6 of us ladies that stayed at Hobby Horse Cottage on Sept 9-12, we just want to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. The house was so clean and everything that we needed or could have asked for was there. I believe you go above and beyond on making it that way. The location, parking and privacy couldn't have been better. We were so blessed to have beautiful weather to go with it and to be able to hear the beautiful church chimes each evening at 6 pm. The only regret we have is that we couldn't stay longer. We will always cherish the beautiful memories that we were able to create there and look for to staying there in the future. Thank you again for making all this possible.

Excellent place to rent. Owners are fantastic!

This is the second time we have stayed at Hobby Horse and have already booked for three weeks next year. I can't say enough good things about Sandy and Jim as well as the house. First, Sandy and Jim are so easy to work with and think of all the little things to make your stay extra special, such as fresh flowers when you arrive, a bottle a wine and flavored coffee. The house is very homey, comfortable, well-stocked and very clean. The outdoor area is spacious and very private. We love to sit on the deck and have morning coffee as well as end our days there. It is a great location and the ability to view the lake from the house is an extra bonus. There are wonderful areas to walk around the house and I have my favorite routes I look forward to walking each time we rent the house. It is also a very close walk to Wilson's to get some great ice cream. We like to travel with our dog and she gives the house five stars as well. I always tell everyone Door County and this home are good for the soul. Very peaceful place. Can't wait to go back next year.

annual family vacation

My husband and I have been enjoying Door County for more then 30 years. When our grandchildren started to come we thougt how fun it would be to bring the family up every summer for aweek. We have stayed in a few diffrent homes, but last summer of 2015 we stayed at the Hobby Horse. What a delight. Everyone really enjoyed the quaintness of the home, the beautiful land it sits on and the location was perfect. We highly recommend this wonderful home. d

Wonderful Vacation House

My family (our grown children and grandchildren) have vacationed at the Hobby Horse for many years. The house is very well maintained and appointed. There is plenty of space to do puzzles, play cards as well as feed large groups of people. The kitchen is very well equipped.The yard is huge and private. There is a deck in the back and a water view in the front, as well as plenty of space in the yard to play games and run around. The house is in a walk to everything location.The owner is attentive and very accessible. Our whole family loves spending time at the Hobby Horse.

This property has been in our family since 1908 and the house was moved there in the early 1940s. My Mom had a gift shop in it called the “Hobby Horse”, after she closed it, it was our summer home for many years until we began renting it out in 1973. My Great-Great Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Grandparents were all In the tourist rooming business in Ephraim.
We have strived hard to maintain the charm and character of this home. We love Door County and Ephraim and live just a few minutes away so we are always available.
