Casa Mar y Sol fue creada por la unión de dos familias, que decidieron combinar sus dos hogares, Casa Mar y Casa Sol, en un solo espacio donde la familia y los amigos podrían celebrar la vida juntos en una hermosa ciudad costera, lo que resultó en un hogar ideal para familias numerosas o familias múltiples que viajan juntas.


El patio de la piscina en el centro de la casa cuenta con un salón junto a la piscina, una cabaña a la sombra, un amplio espacio para niños y adultos, y una combinación de sombra y sol para que todos puedan disfrutar del tiempo juntos durante todo el día. La ubicación central de Casa Mar y Sol en la ciudad crea otra forma de pasar tiempo juntos, con playas y ensenadas para explorar, senderos de usos múltiples a través del bosque tropical y eventos de la ciudad, como cenas en la playa al atardecer, a solo unos pasos de las calles peatonales.

En toda la casa, hay un equilibrio de espacios que hace que las vacaciones con familias numerosas o con varias familias sean fáciles, agradables y memorables. Los espacios de vida separados entre las dos casas originales fomentan una sensación de espacio personal. Los espacios sociales como el patio de la piscina y la gran sala de estar / cocina / comedor ofrecen un espacio social natural para que todos compartan comidas u otras ocasiones. Hay una sala de prensa en la planta baja, para que los más jóvenes puedan ser tan ruidosos y juguetones como quieran, mientras que el piso de arriba sigue siendo un espacio tranquilo para la noche.

An Absolutely Stunning Home!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Casa Mar Y Sol. The house is absolutely stunning... perfect for a fun girls' trip or a family getaway. There are plenty of spacious, beautifully decorated rooms with lots of outdoor space and a gorgeous view of the beach. The adorable house mom prepared a fabulous traditional Costa Rican breakfast (eggs, rice and beans, fresh fruit, smoothies,...) every morning as well as homemade guacamole and salsa every afternoon. Additionally she would take care of all of our laundry every day! We spent the days hiking, paddle boarding, kayaking, lounging by the pool or the beach. We had fabulous massages at the new spa on the property as well as yoga with a spectacular view of the ocean. There are plenty of activities to keep everyone busy and the concierge is always happy to suggest fun activities off the property which we all really enjoyed (a sunset catamaran tour with snorkeling and another great meal, ATV rides,...). Every evening we watched an amazing sun set either from the beach or from the fun hotel a short walk from the house. I absolutely love Las Catalinas and in particular Casa Mar Y Sol. I hope to be able to come back soon!!

AMAZING HOME at an AMAZING RESORT!

This home is the perfect getaway for a large family trip or girls getaway. The decor is amazing but it is still such a comfortable vacation home. The private spaces provided throughout the home works so well for large groups. The beds are so comfortable. Kimberly, the House Mom, makes morning and afternoons a true vacation. Her smoothies are amazing and the afternoon ceviche and guacamole are the best! The cabana by the plunge pool is a unique spot to relax and have cocktails with friends. I can't think of anything this house is missing. I will certainly be back!

This home is dreamy. Highly recommended!

The home was beautifully furnished yet very comfortable. It isn’t perfectly located and spacious. I highly recommend this property. We enjoyed dinner at the nearby Casa Chameleon. Our sunset catamaran cruise was spectacular.

Heaven on the Ocean

This home was everything you could expect in an ultra luxurious villa. Perfect location, beautiful decor, top notch finishes, fabulous bedrooms and baths...and Maria is an amazing cook and housekeeper. I can't say enough except I cannot wait to go back.

Stunning

This resort is stunning offering everything you could want. Aside from the resort itself, this house is one of the largest homes in Las Catalinas. With 7 bedrooms, it can sleep a ton of people or you can just use the 2 bedroom apartment. I have stayed here a few times under different conditions. It is PERFECT for a girl's trip and ideal for an extended family holiday. Kimberly, the house mother, could not be sweeter making us breakfast and guacamole everyday! The activities like paddle boarding, kayaking or hiking were great ways to get in some exercise before your first margarita of the day! The food is amazing and I especially recommend the chicken wrap at Limonada. I understand the ceviche is to die for as well as the tuna poke! The accommodations are generous in size and the decor is spectacular! The plunge pool is great to cool off in or go up to the big pool at the beach club. The cabana outside by the plunge pool is where we would gather a lot - at night for cocktails or during the day for a shady, breezy place to read. The spa was just opened and I had a wonderful mani//pedi and a very relaxing massage. The staff at Las Catalinas is what really makes this place spectacular! Everyone you see is there to help you. Whether it is Mhairi at check in, Gerardi and Thomas at concierge, Manuel the bartender at the pool, Juvenal at Limonada, you are always greeted with a smile. The whole resort embodies the Costa Rican way - Pura Vida! I highly recommend this house!!

Spectacular Home in Las Catalinas

This home is beautifully decorated and there is not one thing the owner's have forgotten to include in this property. The furnishings, bedding and kitchen and appliances are all well appointed. The home easily fits large groups without giving up privacy and there is a wonderful large outdoor porch where we enjoyed our breakfast every morning. We also enjoyed sitting by our own plunge pool and the kids found a perfect place(the cabana)to watch movies in the evening! The owners were fantastic and gave us some great companies to use for fishing, surfing and even jet skiing. It was a wonderful vacation and we would definitly come back to this house!

Perfect for large group or multiple families

Loved this house and our time at Las Catalinas! The house has everything you need and then some! Extremely well-decorated, but still comfortable. The lay out is perfect for a large group or multiple families. The bunk room and large living area just outside that room, are perfect for kids. All the other bedrooms, especially the two masters, are very large. The daily house keeper or 'house mom', is a luxury you can't put a price tag on! From amazing breakfasts each morning, to fresh-squeezed juices and guacamole in the afternoon, and fresh laundry all day...you will be spooled and won't want to come home! The resort itself is beautiful...high-end, but not stuffy. Very family friendly...we felt safe letting our kids take full advantage of all the resort amenities on their own. But be sure to take advantage of all the activities and restaurants outside the resort too! Great area to explore!

I was lucky enough to stay in this beautiful home for a week this spring and I cannot say enough about it. I was with a large group (6 friends and 13 teenagers) and the house worked beautifully for such a large group. It is well furnished, well thought out, and spread out enough that you could get away the crowd if you needed to. We especially enjoyed the pool cabana room and the roof-top terrace. The entire property was beautiful, good restaurants, and plenty to do on-site. The resort concierge team did a beautiful job of planning our activities- surf lessons, horseback riding and the highlight of our trip, the half-day chartered sunset boat trip! They also suggested several great restaurants off the property, although another highlight of our trip was the Chef-cooked dinner that we did at the house, it was fabulous! I would come back again in a heartbeat, and I would recommend this home to friends and family.
