Usted simplemente les encantará nuestro lugar. Tiene tres dormitorios con pillow-top rey, reina y camas dobles, dos baños y sala de estudio / TV. Situado en la "tranquila" de Mount Desert Island, con vistas panorámicas de Blue Hill Bay y las islas circundantes.
Ideal para parejas (muy cómoda cama king, vistas increíbles de agua, preciosa terraza privada) y / o para familias con 2 dormitorios más .... un maravilloso refugio.

Muy privado, entorno selvático pero accesible a todos los placeres y maravillas del Parque Nacional Acadia. Totalmente equipada cocina gourmet con encimeras de granito. Pisos de madera de roble en todas las habitaciones. Chimenea con azulejos portugueses pintados a mano. Espacio del sótano Niza con mesa de futbolín y lavadora / secadora.

Amplias cubiertas (traer su estera de yoga para los / práctica puesta de sol del amanecer) y porche. Traiga su bicicleta, canoa, kayak: un montón de espacio de almacenamiento disponible. Además de acceso inalámbrico a Internet, por supuesto.(Banda ancha). Traiga su computadora portátil, iPad .... o no .... usted podría desconectar y relajarse de verdad .....!

PREGUNTAS FRECUENTES:
¿TIENE ACCESO DE AGUA? No, no tenemos propiedad frente al mar. Sin embargo, la brisa del mar y los sonidos de las gaviotas siguientes los barcos de langosta en la cala pueden engañar a usted. Es justo decir que tenemos las más espectaculares vistas del agua ... mejor que nuestros vecinos de nivel inferior.
¿ES TRANQUILO? Sí, es muy tranquilo. Nuestra tierra se apoya en un viejo cementerio Maine. A veces hay visitantes o cortar el césped y se puede oír estas breves sonidos en la distancia.
PUEDE mascotas o niños jugar al aire libre? Somos dueños de 10 hectáreas y se encuentra situado al final de un largo camino privado. Es bastante seguro para las mascotas y los niños a estar fuera.
¿Hasta dónde estás de Bar Harbor? Sugerimos que la gente mira un mapa de Google. Pero si no se puede ... se trata de un 25 a 35 minutos en coche.

Esta casa le ofrece todo. Maravilloso paz y tranquilidad para meditar, leer todos esos libros buenos, hacen una comida de mariscos frescos y se sienten completamente a gusto. Y una gran base para todas las actividades al aire libre increíbles disponibles en Mount Desert Island y el Parque Nacional Acadia.

Lovely Getaway

L'Acadia Cottage is more than described. Delightful and restful with spectacular views. This wonderful house has everything you need for a relaxing week in Acadia.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. Everything was expected from the listing. The cottage was well stocked and the location was great. Everyone loved the cottage and we would definitely come back.

Paradise in the treetops

My husband and I stayed here with our 3- and 6-year old and had a wonderful time. It was an incredibly relaxing and well-appointed home. We couldn't see any other houses or people the whole time we were there - our own little oasis. And we had a blast with the foosball table in the basement. Highly recommend!

Week in Acadia Park

We had an excellent week staying at this house, the view from the main room is amazing. The kitchen and facilities are well stocked. There is no AC, but tbh we didn't find that was a problem. With the combination of screened windows and the provided fans the temperature was fine, even in the recent heat. The screen room is also handy for dining outside in the evening without being bitten. We'd happily stay again.

Perfection!

We had the BEST time during our stay at this home!!! What a gorgeous, airy, clean, well-stocked place it was! The home was on a gorgeous piece of property and it was so quiet and private. Perfect place for relaxing in the mornings and evenings, after spending full days out hiking, shopping, and eating in Acadia Natl Park and Bar Harbor. The location was excellent with easy access to the aforementioned places. One day, we simply stayed put in the house, playing games, reading, and basically just checking out from the world and enjoying each others company. It was glorious. We were so sad to leave!!!

Not Up to Par

The house is greatly over priced & the pictures really do not represent the facility. It’s an older home that has been kept up but not what we expected. The view from the deck is of trees. If you stand up & lean just right you can see the bay. Now if you take everyone upstairs off the master bedroom you can get an ok view of the bay. Note: bring binoculars if you really want to see anything. No A/C & it was really warm for October. Heat really didn’t come on much and only in the early morning when it got the coldest. No matter how we turned the thermostat. Thank goodness for the fire place & adequately providing wood. The bedding and towels were old and thin. Not what you would expect from a weekly rental. Overall I would rate a 4.75 out of 10! It is on the quiet side but that really means you are a good 30 to 45 minutes from anything you may want to do. Would we stay again? Absolutely not! On top of everything the host was not a nice person.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home with amazing bay views

We couldn't have asked for a better experience; everything was even better then described in the vrbo listing and the views out over the harbor from the master suite were just amazing to wake up to especially the sunrises! We also enjoyed the cozy wood burning fire place and the home was spacious, the kitchen was fully stocked and the layout was perfect for a few extended family gatherings. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. John, April, Charlotte, Taia and Luci.

Peaceful retreat with fantastic views

This is a wonderful place to get away from it all! The upper deck offers gorgeous views (when the fog obliges!). We loved coming back from a long hike and relaxing on the deck. The kitchen is well stocked and easy to make any special Breakfasts or dinners. This is the perfect getaway.

Peaceful and lovely

Carol and Bruce are so gracious to share their home with every amenity well thought out. The views from all decks are spectacular. Their home is a lovely place to spend a restful day reading and playing games, but it is also in an ideal location for taking excursions on the island.

Mount Desert Island Hideaway

This spacious house on "the quiet side" of Mound Desert Island (MDI) is tucked away at the end of a long driveway. The large and airy master bedroom and the upper deck overlook the treetops with a view of island and Maine coastlines. We also enjoyed the crystal clear night skies, including a fantastic view of the Milky Way and numerous shooting stars. Two decks and a screened-in porch on the ground floor offer vistas into the surrounding woods and meadows. A finished basement offers additional space for entertainment. We enjoyed hiking several trails, both on the quiet and busy sides of the island, swimming, biking, disc golf, and the great seafood. Easy and prompt communication with the hosts and the well equipped house created a memorable stay!

Quiet Side Gem

Great house - spotlessly clean, spacious, and very well equipped with great Goose Cove views from upstairs bedroom and very nice screened in porch. If you want a quiet and comfortable stay and don’t mind the almost 30 minute drive to Bar Harbor/ Acadia, the house is perfect.

Total Relaxation with a Spectacular View

Beautiful and well-appointed home, multiple decks provide great views of woods and bay. Star watching was amazing at night, and the pretty wood-burning fireplace was wonderful to relax and read in front of. Loved being on the “quiet side” of Acadia. So many pretty coves to explore, and some great restaurants nearby.

Perfect vacation house on MDI

Beautiful house, exceptionally clean, nice location on the “quiet side.” Property was very well equipped, quiet location, house a good size for four adults, one child, and two dogs. Hosts very responsive. About 10-15 minutes to the lovely town of Southwest Harbor, 30 minutes to Bar Harbor and main sights of Acadia. Highly recommend!

Excellent house rental

This house rental was more than I ever imagined! The view was beautiful from the top deck. The house was very clean and beds comfortable. It was so nice to arrive after driving all day to find soaps and paper products. And the location was very nice as it is located on the quiet side of MDI. And it was only a half hour to get to the major attractions. I highly recommend that anyone planning to go to the Bar Harbor area, to stay at this house rental.

Fabulous week

We had an amazing week at MDI and loved the L'Acadia Cottage. It was very clean and a wonderful place to stay for the week, great views from the top deck and quiet and private for our family. The kitchen was well stocked and plenty of room for our stuff. The owners Carol and Bruce were also very responsive to any questions. We really loved our stay and would definitely stay here again.

This place is beautiful and covered all the details

We traveled with my husband's parents as we have all wanted to see Maine and this was a great time in both of our lives to get there. This house is beautiful and super clean. I was impressed by the little details such as luggage racks, hooks everywhere, drying rack, laundry baskets, lots of extra linens, etc. The kitchen was fully stocked, although we didn't eat there much besides breakfast a few times and snacks in the evening. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms/showers were great. The view from the master bedroom is fantastic. That really is the only room with a view but we all enjoyed coffee on the upper deck looking out. It was also fun at night to be out there and listen to the coyotes, etc. The fireplace was lovely and we enjoyed the books that they had there. As far as location, we mostly spent our time in Acadia and Bar Harbor so it was about 30 min there whenever we would leave for the day. But the drive there was beautiful and it seemed to go quickly. Also, the owners were very responsive and helpful to our questions. Oh, and the week that we were there (10/12/19 - 10/19/19), the fall colors were in PEAK. Such a gorgeous area. It was a great trip full of fun lasting memories.

Fall getaway

This was our first trip to Acadia - and I couldn't imagine a better experience! After a long day of hiking, this was the perfect place to come back to and rest, cook dinner, and enjoy the beautiful view from the bedroom balcony.

Wonderful house on the quiet side of MDI

We’ve been to Mt Desert Island several times, and have stayed in a variety of accommodations, including two other houses, but without a doubt, L’Acadie is the best. It was just the two of us, but the home has three full bedrooms, and could clearly accommodate large families. The views are incredible, both from the back porch on the main floor and from the deck off the master bedroom. The location on the quiet side of the island is ideal, and it’s a short drive to hiking, sea kayaking, or – for that matter – lobster dinner at Thurston’s. The house is in great condition, and everything from the water pressure to the wifi are perfect. We could write a very long review and still offer enough praise, so suffice it to say that before we had even completed our wonderful week at L’Acadie, we had booked a week for next summer!

Acadia Park visit

The property was beautifully maintained and everything was just as listed online. It was a great location for visiting Acadia and the small quaint towns that are nearby. It was slightly off the beaten path which appealed to us but it was still an easy trip to Bar Harbor. We really enjoyed our stay!

Quiet reflection

What a great location for a quiet vacation. The property is beautiful inside and out. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck with coffee in the morning taking in the view, the birdsong and the solitude. We timed, accidentally, our visit during a full moon. The view from the master bedroom of the full moon reflecting in the water was stunning. The beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked so we had no difficulty finding what we needed to prepare our meals. Overall this rental exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend it. We certainly did not want to leave.

Terrific cottage on the quiet side of MDI

We had a wonderful week in this lovely cottage. The view is gorgeous, especially from the master bedroom. Beds were wonderfully comfortable and the kitchen was equipped for all or our needs. Hoping to come back sometime soon.
