Amazing Stay at The Keys!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Key's is an amazing house in a great location within Beachwalk. This place worked out perfectly for our multiple family week long trip to Michigan City. The guest house was great for a smaller family we had tagging along with us. The layout was nice and allowed us to spend plenty of time together on the front porch and by the fire pit. The rooms were large, the bathrooms were nice and all of the amenities worked as advertised. It was clean we arrived and we were even able to check in a little early. I can't recommend this place enough for a large family staying at Beachwalk!

The Key Cottage and Keylime 327 Childers

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beachwalk properties is perfect for large family vacations. We rented our Keylime property for a second time, and it was in abysmal condition with poor maintenance from Beachwalk properties. Fans and lights were out in some bedrooms. In Keylime large house the refrigerator never got cold enough for milk and maintenance said it was due to a large amount of food but last year we did not have the problem in the same property. Wi-Fi was very spotty. Also the air conditioning controls are on a Google nest make sure you’re familiar with that device.. in the key cottage it was difficult to control the TV as there were three remotes with no written instructions. None of the bedrooms had a chair to sit in while putting on shoes and socks. Sense of mold around the front and bottom of door at large home. This property needs to be completely cleaned inside, including furniture.

Nice Property for a Reunion

Plenty of room for all to sit at the table and counter; good space to gather; the cottage was cooking headquarters; place was clean; location was easy to get to and nice walk to Lake Michigan; rental company was accessible and helpful; nice to have a golf cart supplied with the house. All floors are wood or tile so with 20 plus people it got noisy and hard for the 90 year olds to hear in larger conversations.

Nice home.

This was a nice home but smaller than it appeared in photos. Very small deck off of the small kitchen. Good sized basement space perfect for teens to hang out in as all bedrooms are on the second floor. Nice rooms and furnishings. Smaller home in front is nice to have for those who want/need more quiet/privacy.

Clean house with all we needed.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved having the separate house for people without kids. Was nice being so close to the park and minimal walk to the pool. Needed golf cart for the beach. Had issue with ants in the main house and hot water in the guest house. Someone came right away when we called and addressed issues. Hot water went out 2-3 times and they came within a few minutes to fix. WiFi worked with many people using. Beds comfortable and kitchen well stocked. Fireworks were great on the beach. Had a great vacation!

Good location & neighborhood

We loved the Beachwalk community and neighborhood. The pool was easily accessible, walkable to the beach, had a lovely boardwalk area and shop and the golf cart was really convenient. Unfortunately similar to other reviews the floors were not clean. We had 2 small children who are crawling and within minutes of us being there, they were covered in dirt. We really liked the property but the floors were disgusting.

Perfect location!

The house was the perfect size for our large group. It was especially nice having the guest house for some extra space. There is so much to do in the Beachwalk neighborhood that was walking distance and even places with short drives like the outlet mall, zoo and casino that really made it a special trip for the adults and toddlers in our group. We will definitely be coming here again!

Family Vacation- Great Location, but property needs maint attn

The pool was easily accessible, walkable to the beach, had a lovely boardwalk area and shop and the golf cart was really convenient. The Key Lime house and guest house were both decorated well, provided plenty of room and was what was expected according to space from the listing. Unfortunately there was a lot to be desired from the cleanliness of the property. Within only a few hours of being there everyone’s feet were black simply from walking through the house. There was no way that the floors were mopped before we arrived. The ants were everywhere in both the upstairs bathrooms. Crawling across the showers, vanity and into the bedroom across the dressers and I even had them in our bed in the master bedroom at one point. I understand ants can be a problem with all the sand in the area, but I didn’t have any access to any repellent in the rental. The sleeper sofa in the basement was not usable and needs a new mattress also the frame for both sofas in the living room are broken. The kitchen setup was great for large parties, but the freezer did not keep items cold. We had only a few things in the freezer for the week, so it wasn’t a case it was overfilled. I would also consider a few extra perks to make the stay that much more memorable and convenient such as some beach chairs, a cooler and a wagon that can be used in the sand. Part of our group wanted to reserve a time slot for the tennis courts and we’re told they stopped reserving spots the night before. The staff was very unhelpful and the process was not very efficient or accommodating. Last, there was a hornets nest the size of a basketball at the mailbox area at the playground and a child from our family was stung while walking by. We called to report it right away and it took over two days to be removed.

Internet connections were slow and when the Infinity came to fix it they could only get internet to the big house. The small house had no Internet and no TV service.

OK family gathering

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property was well set up for our group of 15 extended family members. We had plenty of space and not too much of a hassle to get to the beach. The resort offered something for everyone to do. The kitchen had all utensils/cookware needed to make all the meals. There was an ant problem in the kitchen that we contacted management about. They sent someone to put up traps and vaccuum the sliding door they appeared to be entering through but it was a much larger problem than that there were constantly ants crawling all over the kitchen. The internet/wi-fi did not work. Also contacted management about this but never got a response about the problem. Overall, the property was good for our large group aside from those issues.

We had a good experience staying at this property, the only thing i disliked was the floor clean less , the floor was so very dirty, it was like they didn’t washed it in years . I wish they had more towels in the bathrooms as well .

Great property for friends trip

The 2 house setup worked great for our group! Houses are very close together but thankfully our neighbors were also having a good time and neither of us minded a little noise. Very cute resort!

Spots on the master bedroom carpet and generally dirty looking. Should be deep cleaned or replaced. Kitchen very well equipped, but knob on stove had fallen off. Lightbulbs in kitchen need replaced. Floor in basement was very sandy. Location was good, and since we had family members in several houses, it was nice that they were all so close together. Easy walk to the beach.

The Keys Family Vacay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful vacation at Beachwalk, as always. The Keys was perfect for our family of 20. The basement was great for all of our teens and the guest house was the right option for our family members with little ones. Our only complaints are that the house is not well stocked with outdoor/beach gear (there are no beach chairs, umbrellas, etc), there were some small cleaning issues (mainly the outdoor space and the deck), the firepit area is not great for sitting around and the landscaping is not well taken care of. The house itself is very nice, the master bedroom is very large and comfortable. All that said, we would definitely rent this property again.

Thanksgiving/Christmas family trip.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall our experience in Key Lime was favorable, however there are some issues that need to be addressed. In the smaller cottage there was very little in the kitchen. The bed linens need to be updated and fit the size of the bed. In both houses the cleaning needs to be more thorough. the bathroom tubs in the big house were dirty. We could not use them. The kitchen was well supplied with everything we needed. Overall we love the area and the house , but hope you will take this review and follow though with upgrades and improved cleaning both inside and outside including leaf cleanup and weeds around the property.

Very key west like

Great place to stay with large families. Neighbors are very friendly and so is the property mgnt. Beach was a bit of a walk but golf cart helped a lot. Fun colorful homes reminded me of key west or Disney. Would stay here again.

Great for groups!

Really enjoyed our stay. I loved having the small front 2 bedroom home for extra space. I would recommend bringing extra paper towels because the house only had one extra roll. Other than that, I was overall happy! I love this little community and would rent another property from this management company again.
