VICTORIA - ELEGANTE Y CONFORTABLE APARTAMENTO ART DECO


El apartamento, en un edificio tradicional de la década de 1940, acaba de ser completamente restaurado. Su ubicación es perfecta para explorar la ciudad de Oporto a pie.

La cocina está equipada con placa vitrocerámica, nevera, lavavajillas, microondas, tostadora, horno, grill, cafetera espresso, hervidor de agua, etc., y lavadora y aspiradora. Disponibles también dos televisores LCD y conexión Wi-Fi.

Cuenta con dos baños completos, y los detalles de las habitaciones son:

1: la habitación púrpura, muy cómoda, cuya única apertura es una gran puerta corrediza de vidrio que da al luminoso hall de entrada del pequeño balcón, y con gruesas cortinas para cortar la luz.
La imponente cama de palisandro de la primera década del siglo XIX es en el estilo tradicional portugués Doña María y tiene un cómodo colchón de 1.40 x 2.00

2 - el dormitorio verde tiene una cama king-size (1.80 x 2.00) y un colchón de la más alta calidad que se puede separar en dos camas individuales. Hay persianas y cortinas para la oscuridad total.

3 - la habitación roja, cálida y acogedora, tiene un sofá cama que se abre y se convierte en una cómoda cama doble de 1.40 x 2.00 y también persianas y cortinas gruesas para una total oscuridad.
Para ingresar a la habitación verde, debe pasar por la habitación roja, por lo tanto, para una ocupación de hasta 4 personas, la habitación verde funciona como una gran suite con antecamara y baño privado.

El apartamento tiene dos entradas. Por la entrada principal, el apartamento está en el segundo piso, sin ascensor, pero con escaleras muy cómodas.
Por la otra entrada, se accede por la puerta abajo que da a la calle y a las cómodas escaleras exteriores. hasta el balcón.

El apartamento incluye aparcamiento gratuito en un garaje a 50 metros del edificio.

Fruta fresca y vino de Porto gratis para consumo a su llegada.

Could not have been happier with this apartment. It is very big, and well decorated to the smallest of details. The location is great and very central. The host, Jorge, was extremely gracious and communicative. They left us wine, liquor, beer, fruit and spent a solid 10-15 minutes with us at arrival to mark up a map of “must see” and “must dine” places. All great recommendations. By far, the best experience I have had on VRBO.

Host was extremely welcoming, met us at the parking garage and walked us to the apartment. Once there, he spent an hour talking to us about Porto and gave dozens of recommendations on what to see, where to eat and how to get there. Additionally he provided a basket of fruit, some wine, port and spirits. Couldn't ask for better hospitality!

This was the very best home we've ever stayed in. There were more welcome amenities than usual (plenty of paper towels, even Kleenex, cotton swabs, snacks and drinks - wow!), making the entire stay feel luxurious, and almost like family. Manuela welcomed us personally with a detailed tour (very helpful), including a map and suggestions for local stops. She went above and beyond in every way. We highly recommend, and would stay at any of the properties of these owners. Thank you for your extra efforts, they were noticed and appreciated.

Host was very helpful with stuff to do.Also left us with wine,beer,port and fruit baskey.Only drawbacks were 2 flights fairly steep stairs and place to park car securly was about 5 min. walk away.Other than that everything was great.

The apartment is very clean and is in a great location.Easy walking to shops and restaurants.The pictures are accurate description of the space.Except for the stairs it is very accommodating, and the host Manuela is very nice and helpful at check in with lots of suggestions for where to go and what to see. The port wine on arrival was a nice surprise. Kitchen well stocked! . Super helpful!!Communication is excellent. The laundry service was much appreciated. We would stay here again.It is a great place to stay in Porto!!

Manuela and Jorge's apartment was one of the most lovely places we've stayed in on VRBO. The location is on a quiet street within a block of a bakery/coffee shop and large grocery story. It is quiet but less than 5 minutes from all the action. The apartment itself is extremely clean, comfortable, well-stocked and set up perfectly with the bedrooms on opposites sides of the living room. It created a nice sense of privacy for our group of four. Manuela was very welcoming and brought wine and fruit on our arrival. I could go on, but previous reviews are absolutely correct. I will tell my friends/family traveling to Porto to stay here without hesitation. It is truly a perfect apartment!

We were looking forward to this location from the VRBO listing but I can tell you it did not disappoint. Every detail was attended to. The furnishings, the decor and the design was fabulous. Fabulous hosts and great location!!!! We walked everywhere and had excellent restaurants within a 15 min walk. Central to many of the historic sites. The home was large and very comfortable and welcoming! Would absolutely stay here again!

Excellent stay in Porto

We stayed here for 5 nights, (2 adults / 1 child) and had a wonderful experience right from the moment we met Manuela. She checked us in and gave us lots of information about the surrounding neighbourhood and Porto, which was very helpful. She also quickly responded to a few additional questions we had about Porto over the days we were staying there. The apartment is lovely, very clean, and very well equipped. Easy to feel comfortable staying here. Plus it has air conditioning, which is a huge bonus for Europe! I would highly recommend this apartment and we'll look to stay here again for our next trip to Porto.

Good, but.....

Overall, our stay at this apartment in Porto was fine. The apartment itself was as advertised, very clean and spacious. All the amenities of home were provided, including air conditioning. The Portugese welcome wine was a nice touch as well as the fruit basket and biscuits. The location of the apartment was good. We could easily walk to the pedestrian shopping street and many sites. The host, Jorge, was very pleasant and accommodating. He provided us with a map and suggestions for restaurants and sightseeing. However, when packing to depart we noticed that we were missing a silver necklace and ring, a pair of sandals and a bra. Based on previous reviews for this location, this was probably a one off incident. Jorge vouched for the honesty of his staff and claimed no one had access to the apartment while we were away. In hindsight, there was some physical evidence that someone had been in the apartment but we had not focused on it until we realized that items were missing. The issue was never resolved since we were headed out of town that morning. It did, unfortunately, put a damper on our stay in Porto.

3 nights in Porto at a wonderful 2 bedroom VROB. The unit was well appointed, exceptionally clean with a great location. The host could not have more hospitable with amentities and guidance to restaurants and must see sights!

Warm & Welcoming

Beautiful property close to a town square, with restaurants and groceries just steps away. Awaiting us when we came in out of a downpour was a bottle of wine, a bowl full of fruit, and hugs all around, followed by detailed suggestions by the host. The large apartment easily accommodated two couples.

Good location and parking

Manuela checked us in, meeting us at the parking garage and walking us over to the apartment. The parking garage is outside the restricted zone but maybe 50 m from the rental. The street is a bit bohemian with “working ladies” plying their trade out of a building across the street. Prostitution is legal in Portugal and they and their clients were no problem. The area is safe and an easy walk onto the main streets of central Porto. The apartement is as listed. Neither bedroom has ensuite bath, but the rooms are quite separate. Manuela was lovely :). We did have an issue with the stove top - a quartz hob. The discs once heated and turned off prevent you from using any other disc until the "H" for hot turns off. So, if you are cooking in, don't turn off your disc until you have everything cooked! If I could have given 4.5 stars, I would have - essentially 0.5 a star off as the apartment was a bit musty - BUT it rained the entire time we were in Porto, so I have no doubt that if we could have aired it, it would have been fine. :)

One of the best VRBO’s in 20 years

I’ve been renting VRBOs for over 20 years and this was the best supplied I’d ever encountered. There was every possible essential needed for our 12 day stay. We found it a perfect location from which to enjoy all of Porto. Manuela was an extremely supportive host. The check in was thorough, warm and friendly with lots of information to support a good understanding of Porto. We highly, highly recommend!!

Wonderful Experience, Wonderful Owners

Jorge and Manuela were amazing hosts! We stayed as their guests for 5 weeks. When we arrived, we were greeted by Jorge who gave us a map with areas/restaurants/things to do marked. We were also greeted with champagne, wine, port, fresh fruits, and chocolates!The area was close to the city center, churches, Ribeira, Gaia (for port tastings), and the shopping areas, which was an ideal location for walking and exploring. We did not realize what a foodie area Porto was and we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurants that you could walk to were amazing.This apartment was very spacious, especially by European standards, and exceptionally well stocked. Jorge and Manuela made sure that we had everything we could possibly need. We stayed for 5 weeks and they had the apartment cleaned every week which was so nice! The beds were very comfortable. Bedrooms are split providing privacy from each other. There are stairs as stated in the listing. Americans would do well to remember that in America (except NY as far as I know) we count the ground floor as 1. In Europe it is usually counted as 0. Therefore there were more stairs than we expected but they were easy to traverse. When we travel back to Porto, these owners would be our first choice of properties to return to visit. Their pride of ownership shows, not only in the property, but in the hospitality.Thank you Jorge and Manuela for making our stay so memorable!

Great spot

Jorge was a great communicator and accommodated us for an early check in. He provided everything we could need. The apartment was beautifully furnished, spacious, and comfortable. We were a five minute uber from downtown Porto so it was very convenient. The little neighborhood had a nice breakfast cafe around the corner for great coffee and several restaurants within walking distance. It’s a typical working class neighborhood so you’re living like a local. Many thanks to Jorge, a consummate host.

The apartment is very well located in the centre of Porto, in an old and popular street of San Lazaro neighbourhood (the garden of San Lazaro is the oldest public garden of the city and a reference in the centre of the city).

The location is excellent for getting around on foot in the historic centre of Porto that is five minutes’ walk from the apartment, or to walk to the bars area.

It is five minutes’ walk from Santa Catarina street, where you will find the iconic Cafe Majestic and many interesting shops, and five minutes’ walk from the fantastic Bolhão Market, Coliseu Concert Hall, and the National Theatre S. João.

Several good restaurants of Portuguese cuisine are at two minutes’ walk, as also supermarkets, bakery, butcher, fish, fruits and vegetables, etc.

The apartment does not have parking in the building, but at 50 meters from the apartment we have a garage for you to park your car.

Excellent public transport links, underground station at 200 meters with direct line to the airport.
At the airport take the metro to Porto and get off at station "Campo 24 de Agosto" Once in "Campo 24 de Agosto" square take Fernandes Tomás street, walk 100 meters, take the first left and you reach the apartment 100 meters ahead!
If you come by car, the apartment includes free parking in a garage 100 meters from the building

The apartment is very comfortable with air-conditioning, fully equipped kitchen, and bathrooms with gel, shampoo, body lotion, high quality bath towels, hair dryer, etc.
The decoration is made with high quality furniture and Portuguese antiques.

Although very central, and in a busy street, the excellent soundproofing, the windows with thermal and acoustic cut and the air conditioning, provide a quiet and silent atmosphere and a great comfort in the apartment.
