Cuando llegue al apartamento después de explorar la ciudad, se relajará disfrutando de un vino de Oporto con el telón de fondo de la hermosa vista del distrito de "Duques" con sus altos árboles.

El Apartamento Alice está ubicado en un edificio de estilo Art Nouveau de Oporto. El trabajo de restauración de la casa es el resultado de nuestro compromiso con este proyecto familiar.

En la planta de entrada encontrarás un salón donde preparar tu bebida (ofrecemos bebidas a nuestros clientes), elegir un libro de la estantería del pasillo, escuchar música y respirar el ambiente de época, el ambiente típico de una casa burguesa de Oporto de finales del siglo XIX al siglo XX
A través del ascensor o las escaleras se sube al piso del apartamento.

El apartamento es muy cómodo, luminoso y funcional, incluso para largas estancias.
El ambiente transmite autenticidad y refinamiento

La decoración sin duda ecléctica está salpicada de piezas de diferentes épocas y procedencias.
Todas estas piezas son auténticas y han sido recuperadas.
Esta es la única manera de lograr una verdadera sostenibilidad del planeta y el respeto por la naturaleza.
Toda la madera vieja y las vigas de la casa que había que reponer se reutilizaron para hacer algunos muebles, concretamente las camas y los cabeceros.

En las paredes hay algunas obras de artistas europeos: Vitor Fortes, Antoni Rossi Guel, Johannes Miedema y António Maria
La iluminación está pensada para que disfrutes de un gran confort. Encontrarás varias lámparas de nuestra colección, desde Lámpara de techo clásica de aceite en la entrada, adaptada a la electricidad, y arañas de cristal, hasta lámparas de los años 70 como el aplique Dijkstra, la lámpara de sobremesa Peter Nelson y la Palm Lamp de Massive.

El barrio "Duques" es la opción ideal para tu estancia, es el barrio más cool, con alma y carisma del centro de Oporto. Allí se encuentra la Facultad de Bellas Artes de Oporto. Aquí encontrarás tiendas locales de calidad, galerías de arte, excelentes restaurantes y opciones veganas si lo deseas.

There is a reason this beautiful space won an award. It is outstanding in every respect and the attention to detail practically unmatched to the 60 Vrbo's we've had the pleasure of staying. The building and room were stunning and all common spaces immaculately clean. We truly enjoyed the apartment's location on a tree-lined residential part of Porto. Thank you to Alice for our warm welcome and her helpful notes regarding Porto.

Gorgeous Apartment

We were thrilled to stay in this unique and beautiful apartment which was extremely clean and comfortable. The location was excellent in a charming neighborhood and was very near to everything we wanted to see. The hosts were very welcoming, helpful, and easy to communicate with. This is a very special place!

Lovely

We really enjoyed the beautiful artistic space and the apartment was spotless and everything worked as it should. With the windows closed it’s very quiet. It’s a first class experience staying at this apartment, and although there are others in the building, you rarely hear anything. It’s also in a very safe location. Highly recommend!

A very exceptional VRBO

A very well appointed one bedroom, two full bath apartment in a quiet residential neighborhood that’s away from the tourist craziness, yet a short walk to good restaurants, grocery stores, a metro stop, and coffee/pastry shops. Not that much further of a walk to most museums and other sights. The owner has supplied a choice of wine, sherry, and port in the apartment and the shared downstairs sitting room, plus we found two beers in the refrigerator. There was also a bowl of fresh fruit in the room. The kitchen was probably the best supplied of utensils, dishes, and glasses of any VRBO stay we have had in North America or Europe. There is a shared washer and drawer, typical small load European models. It is also used by housekeeping for sheets and towels, but the maid is super nice and took our clothes out and folded them when she transferred her load to the dryer. (That’s how we discovered it was shared.)There was only two very minor annoyances to this unit. There is not a table at which to eat, but the glass top desk in front of the sofa can serve as a table for two, once the table decorations and the bowl of fruit are moved elsewhere. The other is some daytime construction noise from the building next door (rear of same building?).

Wonderful, lovely, extremely well managed apartment in a convenient neighborhood

The apartment was spacious and lovely. Manuela greeted us warmly and provided an excellent orientation and helped us make restaurant reservations. Both Jorge and her were easy to communicate with using the VRBO app. A great find in a fun, historic city.

A Hidden Gem

During a recent visit to Porto, Portugal, my wife and I had the pleasure of staying in the Alice apartment in the exquisitely restored Art Nouveau building owned and managed by the wonderful hosts, Jorge and Manuela. Jorge is an architect and along with Manuela have taken great care in the restoration of this stunning building which is located in the quiet bohemian neighbourhood of “Os Duques” of Bonfim. There are restaurants, cafes, and food markets and it’s just far enough away from the centre of Porto to escape the crowds. The Alice apartment is large, bright and beautifully furnished. The bed is very comfortable. There are 2 bathrooms, a living room and dining room and a stocked kitchen. The apartment is well equipped with all the amenities. One can feel that our warm and friendly hosts have gone the distance to create beauty in the living space and ensure that their guests are very well taken care of. We cannot recommend the Alice apartment highly enough and would not hesitate to return.

This is a quiet, hidden gem. It surpassed our expectations and was the highlight of our stay in Porto. Jorge and Manuela are delightful hosts. Thank you Jorge for taking the time upon arrival to orient us to the area (walking distance to major historical places) and the good restaurant recommendations, which we enjoyed. For those who enjoy good architecture and exquisite finishes you will not be disappointed with the renovation that they have done to this house and to the Alice apartment. We unreservedly recommend this place .

5 star review! The apartment is in an excellent location, quiet, clean, and very well organized. Fully stocked kitchen and bathroom..nothing overlooked. The pictures on the site although beautiful do not come close to showing how fabulous the apartment is in person. What more could a guest want. Already making plans for our next extended stay. Thank you for making our first visit to Porto and Portugal memorable.

Stunningly Gorgeous Flat in Quiet Convenient Neighborhood!

We absolutely adored the Alice Apartment, Jorge himself, and the neighborhood this absolutely stunningly gorgeously tiled art nouveau building work of art (I'm obsessed with architecture & design). Jorge met us personally at the building--it's also stunning from the outside. Every inch of the building and flat ooze meticulously restored detail and we were in awe. Jorge guided us into the opulent foyer and up the reclaimed stairs to our romantic flat. Every single detail has been considered and if you enjoy historic luxury, this is the place for you. Jorge left us a couple bottles of wine, there are three different port wines for you to try in the foyer as well. The antiques, the original oil painting, the heart of pine floors, the gorgeous windows, super comfortable beds, views, great water pressure, and spacious living quarters made this the only place we would ever stay in Porto. If we could, we'd give it 10 stars. The neighborhood was also perfect--quiet and non touristy with some great antique shoppes for treasure seekers, close walk to great food and the historic district and we loved the dinner down the street for a great omelet and fresh squeezed oj. Jorge and I hit it off--we both appreciate the same historic details. He's the absolute best and so is his passion project. Book this now--you will not regret it!

Little oasis in Puerto

Great location very nicely appointed, lovely fruit basket, awaiting our arrival.. great area of the city, accessible to all the attractions. Plus, really nice cookies and Port wine provided every night, and as well as upon arrival, a red and white wine. Oh, really appreciated. Finally, Many good restaurants very close by… Would highly recommend.

Beautiful house in great location

The aesthetics of this property are simply beautiful from the minute you walk into the downstairs lobby to entering the unit itself. The apartment is spacious with a living room, a study/dining room with a kitchen on the other side of the study. The bedroom is separate. There are two bathrooms (shower is separate in the master bath). There are steep stairs to climb but thankfully there is also an elevator. WiFi is great and I had no issues working. Area is just outside the hustle and bustle and quiet at night and even during the day. A/C was great on the warm nights. Welcome was best with fruits and port wine in our unit. Would definitely stay here again.

Such a pleasure

Jorge and Manuela were so kind and helpful to us during our stay (without being intrusive). The apartment was immaculate, comfortable, and felt like a warm home away from home. We found it to be in a perfect location, close to a few nice restaurants in a tree-lined neighborhood, and still within walking distance of many sights, food, shopping, and the general feel of living amongst the warm Portuguese people - friendly and helpful every one. BEST vROB or Hotel Experience Ever in 40 years of travel !

1) The elegance and beauty of this perfectly renovated property is unparalleled. Every possible detail of architectural design ,decoration and provision of necessities expected in a home greeted us. There is not one aspect of this property we would change. 2) More importantly, the graciousness and availabilty of owners ( Manuela and Gorge) exceeded all our expectations. Gorge spent almost an hour orienting us to Porto history and places to visit, based upon our interests in architecture , food and wine ! This brother and sister vision of creating a wonderful experience in Porto through their unique property must not be missed !

Short break in Porto

The property was stunning, it is beautifully decorated, with great attention to detail. Everything was top quality from the nespresso machine to the towels and the linen. Jorge and Manuella have done a fantastic job renovating this building. The welcome was superb with fruit, a bottle of port and Manuella meeting us at the front door and taking the time to show us around the apartment and explain the sites of Porto. We would definitely book this again, and would like to thank our hosts for a wonderful stay.

The best vrbo experience we've ever had

We are in our 70s and have travelled extensively. Many stays have been self-catering which we prefer to hotels. This apartment in Porto was exceptional - beautifully decorated, clean, well-equipped and more comfortable than a first class hotel. Lovely touches - fruit and Port in our room, a personal tourist guide talk by our host, toiletries in the bathroom, etc. We cannot fault it in any way. The quality of the building is outstanding.

Gem in Porto

What an amazing find! In a great quiet neighborhood with good shops and restaurants, but still close enough to the center of town to walk there. Jorge and Manuela have created a beautiful, welcoming and very clean oasis in the city. The architectural and design details are so well thought out. Our apartment was spacious and bright. George was a helpful host with great information and fresh fruit and port were waiting for us upon arrival!
