Great vacation

We had a great time at the resort. It was just as advertised. Property management company was super helpful, even let us have a late check out to accommodate out night flight! We would definitely stay here again and again and again.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful…the location was perfect - sunsets were breathtaking right from our deck. Cleanliness is very important to us and this property more than met our expectations. We would definitely stay here again!

A very nice property!!!

This is a terrific property for you and your family or a couple of couples. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are nice with a full bath and shower. The pools at the property are terrific for families with kids and the shops and restaurant(Dukes) are very convenient. A big plus is there are beach chairs an umbrella and a cooler if you would like to go to the beach and set up for the afternoon. The boardwalk in front of the property is great for runs or walks as it continues quite a ways to the south. A Great place overall!!!

Family vacation

The kitchen was well stocked! They provided coffee. The beds were comfortable. The bell desk was amazing. They carried up our luggage, valeted our car, and when we go groceries they carried the to our room as well. The resort was beautiful. The restaurant was yummy. They have cabanas you can rent and there are always dukes servers serving drinks and food at the pools. The sunset from the pool was my favorite view. We cooked hot dogs on the grills. The beach was rocky and rough when we were there but baby beach was 10 minutes away and was perfect for our young family. We loved the location. We would certainly recommend this unit and this resort.

Zen getaway

Thank you Maui Resort Rentals for your kind attention while we stayed at the Honua Kai 248 Resort. This was not our first stay using your services, and when we were on our last few days, we booked for next year... That about says it all, we had a wonderful Zen getaway, whale watching, playing Yhatzee on our awesome Lanai, and walking hand in hand on the beautiful beach. Our condo rental was lovely, and we were attentively looked after by your service department... no complaints, pure bliss in our stay... resulting in our next trip booking before we even left the premises. Thanks to the office staff at Maui rentals, they responded to our requests and took care of all of our needs. See you next year for another Zen vacation... much appreciation Randy and Jill B

Nice location and well maintained

The only downfall was the poorly equipped kitchen. The main reason we rent a condo is to allow us to cook some meals ourselves. It would be nice to have a few spices, a larger frying pan, a muffin tin and a griddle.

Great Value

Overall everything was great. The condo was well furnished and Maui Resort Rentals was great to deal with. The beach is somewhat rocky and not suitable for small children. Also, the slide has a 42 inch height restriction so one of our 2 children couldn't slide so that created some challenges.

Beautiful location, very spacious

Fabulous service from Maui Resort Rentals, from beginning to end. Especially from Meghan who kept in contact throughout our stay. Stayed in Honua Kai 248H 2 bed. Very spacious, large lanai, all the comforts of home, plus spectacular partial ocean and mountain views. Highly recommend!

Stunning room and views with a great price!

This place is absolutely stunning! The pictures don't do it justice! We were here for an anniversary trip with another couple it was our favorite VRBO out of all the other islands we went to. The resort is absolutely beautiful with the 3 different pools and Dukes Restaurant on property. They had beach chairs and towels for us in the closet and the bedrooms were unbelievably amazing! They had more than enough beach towels and bathroom towels for everyone and the washer and dryer was perfect for our week stay! The only downside is the elevator, it is very slow! They always made sure we had everything we needed and were very responsive when we had questions. They also delivered some leis for us for our anniversaries. We were so close to so many restaurants and towns. We did rent a car but we also ubered to different places for $12 or under. It really is the perfect location. I can't wait to come back and stay here again! Thank you again for such an amazing experience in Maui!

Great Location

This unit is in a great location. You can watch the sunrise over the mountains and set over the ocean. There is much to see and do in this area including great snorkelling, shopping in Lahaina, surfing, and enjoying the property pools. The size of the unit is perfect for giving you plenty of space. An added convenience is the stairwell just past this room. You never need to wait for an elevator. We used the Vitamix daily.

Spectacular unit - loved it!!

Hokulani 248 was a fantastic unit. The views of both the ocean and mountains from the lanai were magical. Unit was spotless and had everything you would need. Brand new mattresses were so comfortable. Maui Resort Realty were attentive to all our needs. No reason to look elsewhere when staying at Honua Kai. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed every minute there. Will definitely be returning and will definitely stay at this unit again. Aloha!!

Nice clean unit

Unit was what it was advertised. However, the fridge took awhile to cool down so make sure you don't put a lot in the fridge. Oven make weird noise and dishwasher leaves everything wet so you have to hand dry. Everything is in kitchen that you need to cook except for a BBQ you have to go down stairs to a community BBQ. Beach is great just a lot of reef/coral. Pools are fun and kids loved it but dukes is expensive so try and bring your own food and drink. The Maui resort management brought everything we needed on a quickly manner.

Wonderful family vacation, great location, and great service

We just got back from our week stay in Hokulai 248 at the Honua Kai resort. Wish we were still there!! Absolutely fantastic stay. Condo is beautiful and had plenty of room for our family of 5. The resort is beautiful and very easy to navigate. Pools are easy to access and beach is right there as well. The views from the lanai are so pretty. Sat out there every day either having coffee in the morning or reading at night. Everyone we dealt with at Maui Resort Rentals was great. Very friendly and professional. We did have a slight issue when we arrived but it was quickly resolved. I only mention it to point out that sometimes things happen and to say that the response, even after hours, from Maui Resort Rentals was quick and immediate and resolved the issue. I would definitely book through them again without hesitation. Also, H248 was just a perfect location in the resort. We could see the ocean, the mountains, the grounds, the pool area, etc. The unit was very clean and had everything we needed to have a great week.

Perfect family vacation

Stayed at Honua Kai resort in July with 10 members of our family. We had condos, 246 and 248, which were next to each other, so it was easy to go back and forth, and visit across the balconies. Condos were clean and well equipped, even beyond our expectations! The resort is very kid friendly, the pools and grounds are clean, and the beach area is beautiful with amazing snorkeling just off the beach. Be sure to wear water shoes though, because the ocean floor is very rough, and it will cut your feet! Staff was so nice and helpful, especially Maui Resort Realty, from my first inquiry to the final check-out instructions. Thank you so much for making this a wonderful experience!

Fabulous stay at Hokulai 248

Just returned from an amazing 2 week vacation in Maui. Our stay at Hokulani 248 and at the Honua Kai resort was SO enjoyable and we are sad to be back home! The condo is beautiful and extremely clean. The king beds are comfortable, the shower pressure is great, and the entire unit is quite spacious. The kitchen is well suited. We loved having the Vitamix to make frozen drinks! The washer & dryer are so convenient, though small. Our favorite part of the condo is the LANAI. The view from here is incredible and you must see it for yourself. The view expands all the way to the West Maui Mountains and back to the Pacific and gorgeous HK grounds. Every morning and evening we watched the sun dance above and below the palms, painting the sky in unbelievable hues of oranges and pinks, before settling beyond the horizon while we indulged in fresh baked banana bread from the local farms and Maui-grown coffee (breakfast) and sipping on frozen concoctions and pupus for our own happy hour. We often saw rainbows forming up in the mountains, to the right of the lanai. It is spacious and the furniture is comfortable. The condo comes with 4 beach chairs and a cooler, which is great for the beach! We spent hours looking for a condo in Maui for or second trip and were THRILLED with this unit. We cannot wait to return on a future trip. The resort grounds truly make you feel as if you're in paradise - the sweet smell of the plumeria trees & swaying palms & hibiscus flowers are enchanting as you enjoy the refreshing pools and hot tubs! They were open til 10pm and we enjoyed almost every night. I will say we are not "pool people" but the pools here are SO nice and we enjoyed swimming there on multiple occasions. The staff at Maui Resort Realty embodies the spirit of aloha - they were so helpful before and during our trip. we were greeted with fresh leis which was an unexpected but very enjoyable surprise! Perfect for families

This is a great place to stay with young children. The pools have plenty of areas for young kids to play and practice their swimming and snorkeling skills. There is ample sandy beach area for castle building and when not windy, the water is calm enough for kids to play (though very well-supervised as there is a sharp drop into deeper water just a few feet in). Honua Kai grounds are beautiful and very well-kept and we found the staff and our fellow guests to be very friendly. Our unit was well-stocked with cooking supplies and beach gear, and very clean. Maui Resort Realty was easy to work with and did just the right amount of checking in to make sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying our stay. We would definitely come back!

Perfection!

Can't say enough good things about our experience here. Maui Resort Rentals was great to deal with and accommodated our every need. We checked in around 8pm on the way back from Costco and it was a breeze. The bell staff at the Honua Kai carried everything to the room for us which saved us a lot of time. Unit 248 was beautiful. The lanai was great for sitting outside and taking in the view of the ocean and mountain. You're also towards the front of the building so the walk to the beach and pool is short. Having beach equipment in the unit was a great plus. The unit is equipped with everything you'll need. I would highly recommend staying here and hope to be back in the future!

Getaway w/ our college kids

Maui Resort Took care of our every need! Apt was great, loved the doors on lanai! Very convenient location. Pool geared toward all, though were some families with younger kids taking up most pool chairs, early . We were there with our two college age kids and still able to get chairs and happy hour always fun at Dukes, poolside! Those guys started out quiet , but are all very nice! Easy access to beach, groceries, snorkel etc... Apt had everything we needed. Cooked one night , out to dinner the next, seafood great at local fish store. Beach towels, chairs, masks & snorkels ( we had our own) are all available in the apartment. Maui Realty was great! Wifi was down one day and they emailed me on the beach to let me know all was taken care of! We had a two bedroom, 2 bath and it was a perfect set up! Used the gym every day. Had a very nice experience! Tough to leave!
