Elegant and Homey 4 Bedrooms Apartment, Air Conditioning within the Lucca Walls

CASA BARBRA is an elegant and spacious apartment completely refurbished in 2017 with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms located in the historical center of Lucca within the walls. The apartment is located in VIA MORDINI, a crossroad of VIA FILLUNGO (the main street of the city) on the second floor of an elegant building of the 1500's.

The apartment is very spacious and is about 280 square metres (approx 3000 sq feet), equipped with every modern comfort: air conditioning in each room, television with satellite channels and SKY TV with English language channels, washing machine, wifi, kitchen Equipped with dishwasher, toaster, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, electric oven.

The nearest car park is 5 minutes walk away and the maximum cost is 13 euros per day or you can make a subscription at the cost of 50 euros for stays of up to 30 days. Free parking is about a 10/12 minute walk from the apartment.

4 bicycles with padlock are provided free of charge to our guests.

The 4 rooms are very spacious and have large new high quality wardrobes and mattresses, the two bathrooms have whirlpool tub and shower cabin, the two living rooms have fireplace and tv plus ample armchairs and sofas to reunite, a dining room with ample table For 10 guests, a large kitchen with breakfast table and a laundry room.

A beautiful, huge flat right in the middle of town. We had plenty of room to ourselves as well as great common areas to spend time together. Would highly recommend.

Excellent Location

The location is conveniently located on a driveable street so taxis can get there if needed. It is also 100 meters from the Anfiteatro. The bathroom locations are a little strange (2 bathrooms are right next to each other in the middle of the apartment, one with a shower and 1 with a bathtub), but we coped. We decided it was all part of staying in a city and building g that is hundreds of years old. Lots of natural light, but the shudders make the rooms nearly pitch black if you decide to sleep in one day. Beautiful ceiling murals.

Classy Apartment in heart of Lucca!

We had a lovely stay here for our family of six. The location was perfectnear restaurants and shops and only steps off of the piazza. The bikes were a nice touch, and we used them every night to ride around the walls of the city. We were very happy and would stay here again.

A lovely home in an excellent location fully equipped and adorned with stunning decoration. Beautiful cutlery, glassware and crockery to create your own special dinner. Clean and well presented exquisite and quirky. Situated in the lovely town of Lucca a step out the front door to bars and restaurants.

We had a terrific time during our stay. The furnishings are beautiful and the apartment has loads of space to stretch out and make yourselves at home. The bedrooms are nice sized and the beds are plenty comfortable with extra pillows and blankets. The washer and dryer was a wonderful convenience and easy to use (detergent supplied was a nice perk). I'd say the only negative is the water pressure in the shower is a little light but that's it. Sonia was prompt and a pleasure to work with and I'd recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice time in Lucca.

We had a terrific time during our stay. The furnishings are beautiful and the apartment has loads of space to stretch out and make yourselves at home. We plan to return

We stayed at the appartment as a family with 8 friends and really enjoyed it. The apartment is very spacious and in really good shape. Reality matches what the nice photos in the internet promise. Everything is very tidy and clean, and the apartment is well equipped. We also enjoyed the location right in the middle of the city, so that it is possible to do everything on foot (or by bike). We also found Sonia to be a very friendly and helpful agent who answered all questions very quickly and is really interested in the well being of her customers.

an amazing place and a great choice for Lucca.

Apartment was in a great location within the walls of the town of Lucca. It was a large apartment great for our extended family that stayed there. Representative from the management company was great to deal with, very friendly, and spoke excellent English. Helped us get settled and move our luggage up the 3 flights of stairs. They also told us that there were free bikes available which we did not expect, and although we didn’t get around to using them it was a great amenity to have, especially in Lucca. The apartment is beautiful, with the only slight exception being that the photos make the rooms appear brighter and slightly more modern than they are in reality. Still an amazing place and a great choice for Lucca.

Like a private palace!

This is a stunning apartment. It is right in the historical centre of Lucca, but it’s also sprawling, airy, and bright. The bedrooms are all large and the windows and doors mean you can always retreat to some peace and quiet which was great for our group (especially when the toddlerbaby were napping :) ) there are two large sitting rooms that feel like museums with all the art on the walls with plenty of space to lounge and relax. The dining room is a great place to eat as a family and we even did a cooking class in the apartment and had plenty of space. Chiara and her team at Lucca Apatments and Villas are amazing. They helped us organize transportation, cooking class, a private chef, and were always available to help and answer questions. I can’t say enough good things about this spot! Thank you for an incredible stay!

May 2024 Stay

Location Location Location! You can walk everywhere within the walls, to the churches, restaurants, the squares, etc. And a 15 min walk outside the walls to the train stations and certain bus stops (definitely take a taxi if you have luggage as the cobble stone path and steps can be tough. The apartment is extremely spacious and the bedrooms allow for a good amount of people. We didn't use the kitchen much but it was all functional. Hung out mostly in the two living spaces which are very large with fashionable, but very comfortable furniture. We will most likely stay here again when we come next year! English instructions for washer/dryer would be great Replacement of the large incense as ours was basically out when we go there. Would give a better smell to the home.

Just as shown in the pictures

We stayed for 5 weeks in this lovely apartment in June/July. It is as the pictures show. The property was clean, very spacious and the fact that it had plenty of living areas was an added bonus. The kitchen and laundry are both well equipped, and the building has comfortable stairs making access quite easy. The apartment is light and airy and we enjoyed the sound of piano music from the school nearby. The location is fantastic - next to a great pasticceria, many good restaurants and just a short walk to the train station. We have dealt with Sonia now on several occasions and she is always a pleasure to deal with. Helpful, friendly and always available if there is a problem. Would thoroughly recommend this apartment, Sonia and most importantly the beautiful town of Lucca to anyone.

old world elegence with most amenities

I stayed with my family (total of 6) for a week in this apartment and we were all quite content. It was spacious, recently painted, renovated bathrooms and A/C units in almost every room. The apartment is a bit of a hike to reach from entrance (~42 steps) but extemely well located, i.e., a quiet street but very near supermarket, butcher, produce vendor and morning latte! The street intersects with the main avenue which has many restaurants, shops, bakeries and points of interest. Lucca, itself, is easily negotiated but this apt's location was particularly great. If there were any drawbacks there were a few noticeable items missing: no clothes dryer (not so hard to hang on well positioned clotheslines), no dish towels. I would recommend it to families or groups. Sonia, who is the point of contact for general information, was very reponsive and helpful. I would definitely stay here again! Shout out to Tau touring - great transport service

Very Nice and Elegant Property, Quite Comfortable

We really enjoyed our stay at this elegant and well-appointed property. There were a few hiccups with communication and check-in by the property management company but the property itself is excellent and we would definitely stay here again. It is very centrally located in Lucca - not too far a walk from the Mazzini parking garage and close to many excellent restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, and shopping yet a quiet location. It is up several flights of stairs. The apartment is very large and the photos are very accurate. 2 bathrooms - 1 with a shower only and 1 with a very large jacuzzi style tub with a handheld shower. The kitchen is a nice size with an eat-in table, a brand new refrigerator and a gas stove, microwave, etc. - well-equipped. There is a utility room with a washing machine for clothes but no dryer. All rooms are generously sized and the bedding and mattresses are quite comfortable. Wi-Fi was speedy. Great base for exploring Lucca and the region. Recommended.

A wonderful experience in Lucca--but be careful about check out

This is a beautiful property and location. Our family had a wonderful time but there are two things to think about. First, for 6 people there are two bathrooms and only one stand up shower so if that works for your visit, fantastic. Otherwise you need to think about timing for the bathroom usage. Second, and the reason we gave it a 4 out of 5 stars was due to our check out. I feel compelled to share our disappointment as we were charged our entire security deposit for damages that we did not incur. We are landlords ourselves, and we pride ourselves in taking good care of the properties that we rent. Therefore, I did not take pictures of all of the rooms and the condition they were in upon arrival (we have never had to do that before), just a casual video to send to family to show them where we were staying. Thankfully the items that the owner claims were damaged by us were actually in the same "damaged" condition in the video that I took upon arrival. Despite my video demonstrating that the problems existed prior to our arrival, we have been charged the complete security deposit for things that were already stained or in the process of being repaired. So, my advice if you choose to stay here, is to take pictures of every room down to every detail at the beginning of your stay. This way hopefully you can ensure that you receive your entire security deposit back upon your departure and aren't charged for damages that are not your fault.

Una casa señorial, amplia en el corazón de Lucca

La casa es muy amplia y cómoda. Es un antiguo palacio remodelado con muy buen gusto, pero a la vez confortable y práctico. Cada día que pasa te gusta más. Las habitaciones son muy grandes o amplias. La ubicación es óptima, en el centro de la ciudad. El patio y la escalera cuando entras por primera vez te hacen pensar que las fotos no corresponden a la propiedad, pero una vez dentro, todo cambia. Un lugar encantador, bastante bien equipado, con aire acondicionado y para disfrutar de él.

Casa Barbra is by far our favorite place to stay

Casa Barbra is by far our favorite place to stay. The house was built with luxury, convenience, beauty and love. We had a great experience, we made wonderful memories. The location is perfect and convenient to restaurants, market, theatro and shopping!! Lot's of shopping from a family of 8. We had a private chef came to make the most delicious dinner and we spent our last day in Lucca in a gorgeous dining room. Thank you Sidrak for providing and sharing your beautiful home. We will definitely return soon.
