Diseño totalmente único. Genial para reuniones. Casa de varios niveles sobre el agua. La mejor ubicación en el lago. Terreno arbolado privado en la carretera de la península cerca de la presa. Magnífica gran sala (casi 2000 pies cuadrados con chimenea), 3 puertas de garaje de vidrio que conducen a la terraza del porche, gran cocina, sala de billar, bañera de hidromasaje, terrazas en todo. Pasa por alto la montaña Smith. Puede traer su propio bote y atarlo a nuestro flotador.

Todos los huéspedes aceptan cumplir con las reglas de la Cámara.

What a fun house! We had lots of room to spread out. While the bedrooms were small for the size of the house it didn’t matter much as we only ever used them for sleeping. Our families had a great time boating, tubing, floating, fishing, playing games and exploring the area. We saved three baby birds that fell out of their nest from the chimney - such a fun story to tell! The kitchen was great for cooking meals, the covered porch was relaxing in the evening, and the dock was perfect for morning coffee. We realized we were on the quiet side of the lake which was great but it took some time to get to groceries. Dale was amazing at communicating with us and making sure we were all comfortable.

This was truly the coolest house on SML! Great views, intriguing designs and art work, cove was private, perfect for fishing, swimming and docking a boat. Great family memories.

We were blown by the size and space of this home as soon as we walked in the door. All shared spaces, including the kitchen, were massive and with 2 families staying together we never felt like we were in each others way. The property and dock space were amazing as well. We all went swimming off the dock and the lake water is vey clean. It’s easy to get in and out of the cove with a boat or wave runner. The hosts were super nice and communicated very well with everything. I highly recommend this home for your next vacation stay and we all plan on returning next year.

Stunning House on SML!

While the listing and pictures are very accurate, they don't convey the SCALE of the house you're looking at. It's HUGE! We really enjoyed our stay, and hardly left the property unless it was to go to the grocery store or out on the lake in our boat. Between the lake, the hot tub, the pool table and ping pong table, awesome kitchen and grills, and large TV, there was no reason to go anywhere! Dale was very communicative and easy to deal with. Would certainly recommend this house for families or friends who are looking for a fun social gathering with tons of communal space and privacy.

Beautiful home

We had a wonderful week at the Coolest House at SML. The houses is gorgeous. It is situated on a quiet road in a peaceful cove. The owners are responsive and friendly with communication. The gigantic porch was our favorite place. Highly recommend.

Spectacular Smith Mountain Lake House

This home exceeded our expectations in every way. First, it is truly unique and in the best sense of the word. We have stayed at many lake houses on various lakes over the years, and none compare to the architecture, layout, and general comfort of this home. Every last detail was considered, including complimentary smores ingredients and shampoo/conditioner. Dale was great to work with before and during our stay. We highly recommend this property to anyone seeking the ideal lake vacation.

Spectacular home on beautiful lake front property. Very well appointed with large living and game room areas making for great memories. The comfortable outdoor spaces, hot tub and dock with gorgeous views were enjoyed by all. We can’t wait to go back!

We stay here for Liberty University Graduation. It was a 45 minute drive. We enjoyed the time together at the house playing pool and ping-pong, sitting in the hot tub, and walking down to the dock on the lake in between ceremonies at Liberty.

Fabulous Family Lake Retreat

This property was perfect. The house and location are beautiful. We enjoyed the privacy of the location. It has a beautiful, large deck with large doors that can be opened. The kitchen was spacious and very well stocked, which is important to us. There was a lot of space to separate when you needed privacy. I also like that it was a quick walk to a local restaurant. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating. My mom and dad are older and struggled with all the steps, so be aware of that if steps are an issue. They managed fine but it’s something to be aware of. We highly recommend this property. It was perfect!

Fun house on the lake

Thoroughly enjoyed this huge house for the week. It was clean and the owner was very attentive. When we needed several things addressed, he immediately went out and bought and left a bag of these things on the front stoop. Coffee maker was one of them. The heating element in the dryer was broken so it never worked. He ordered a new dryer. . Unfortunately, it didn't arrived till after we left. The washer worked after we pulled it out and hit the GFCI button because it had previously tripped. I would just suggest making sure everything works before the guests arrive. But great house!

Extremely spacious house - great for a week for the family to reconnect, relax, and play.

Really enjoyed our stay at the house - it is quite spacious. The pictures don’t do the house justice - hanging out on the porch with large sofa swing was the epitome of relaxation. Great location - you can walk to a marina to rent a boat. Our fourth time to SML - this house and location did not disappoint. The alcove that this house sits on rarely gets any boat traffic - felt like we had the lake to ourselves. Yes, bedrooms are smaller. But you get the trade off of very large common areas.

Great house, quiet and relaxing, yet fun!

Great house for our group of 8. Very unique open layout and features. Lots to do between hot tub, ping pong, pool table, many games, excellent dock and swimming in private cove. There are lots of stairs, so just be ware if you have older or less mobile members in your group. Overall, the house was pretty clean, but the dishes / coffee pot were a little less so, and the fridge had a particularly bad odor, but probably just needs a thorough deep cleaning. Likewise, the rotting jet ski at the dock should likely be removed as it does take away from the otherwise beautiful set up down at the water. Communication with the owners was fantastic and they definitely made all the right moves to make us feel very welcome. This was our first visit to SML; didn't know it when we booked, but this south end of the lake is the right end for more privacy and relaxation as the north end of the lake around Moneta is much busier. We will almost certainly look to book at this house again on our next visit to SML...and we will go back...the lake is awesome!! Thanks for a great stay.

Fantastic entertaining spot!

Very spacious house with multiple levels and amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the lake and cooking wonderful in the spacious galley kitchen. Owner was quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Highly recommend!

Amazing place!

The reviews were right! What a great place. The communal spaces are fabulous-you never feel like you're bumping into other people and everyone found a comfortable spot to call their own. The porch is amazing and we spent a ton of time on it. The kitchen is huge and the entire house is very open. The only disappointing thing was the fishing in the cove! This house is one of a kind!

Spectacular home on a lovely part of the lake - what a treat!

This home is WILD! The shared spaces are huge, beautifully and thoughtfully appointed so that you can have multiple things going on in the same common area. The porch and view over the lake are spectacular and we enjoyed a little evening cocktail and appetizer there almost every evening. During the day, we were out and about on the lake, paddling, taking a boat ride, or just lounging in floats off the end of the dock. It was peaceful and perfect! The bedrooms are small, but the property owner was super clear about that and who wants to spend time by yourself in your bedroom when you can be with your loved ones! Aside from the house itself, Dale was super responsive to any of our questions or needs. He was attentive and wanted to make sure that our experience was top notch. I couldn't be more grateful for the awesome week that we spent there!

Wonderful house and gracious hosts

This home has just about everything you could want for a stay at the lake. The house itself is a work of art. Four breathtaking levels with amazing views of the lake. So many amenities such as the hot tub, numerous decks, beverage cooler, ice machine, pool table, ping pong table, great tv/entertainment systems, tons of board games, and so much more. Dale was very responsive to questions and such a gracious host. Highly recommend!

AMAZING Home!

Love this home! We would definitely consider this home on a return SML visit. From the minute the 6 of us arrived, we were intrigued with the architecture. The space seemed like a lot at first, but it felt comfortable in just a couple days -- giving our group of 6 adults/young adults room to play, relax, connect, and even study. The game room (pool and ping pong) invited us to connect as a family during evening hours and spontaneously during the days. The large porch was THE place to relax - the breezes, the view, the comfortable furniture. The large garage doors provided good light. We did not use them a lot, but we appreciated the option. The gourmet kitchen with the gas Wolf range, large built in frig/feezer, wine frig, and ice maker meant we did not need to journey back and forth to grocery stores and restaurants.. (The ice maker is an incredible bonus!). The location was perfect to retrieve our rented boat from the marina. Thank you for the hospitality and the warm welcome!

Amazing Home & Perfect Location!

The pictures do not do this place justice! The home is so large, a week wasn't enough to enjoy all the amazing spaces. The location on the cove is ideal, very quiet, perfect for floating the day away right off the dock, without alot of boat traffic. The internet speed is incredible, half of our party had working days while there, zero connectivity issues despite streaming multiple devices and having 6 additional laptops all running at the same time. Dale is hands down one of the most responsive hosts I've dealt with, any questions were answered quickly and with the utmost care. One thing to note, as mentioned, the house is quite large. There are 4 floors between the bedroom side of the house and the deck overlooking the cove, it was not an issue for us, but if anyone in your party has mobility issues, may be a consideration to inquire about. Overall we loved this house and are already planning to make this an annual tradition! Thanks Dale and Lora for sharing your home and providing such am amazing getaway for our group!

Perfect Birthday Surprise Getaway

Surprised my wife for her birthday with a 2 night stay here. The house and property did not disappoint!! Beautiful house, beautiful views, and all communication with the owner was great! Would highly recommend, ESPECIALLY if you have a larger group, as this house would be PERFECT for entertaining a larger group of people.
