Welcome to our beautiful 3 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath cabin with modern rustic decor!
Our kitchen is modern and fully stocked. We even have a beverage fridge making relaxing a breeze! You can grill on the side deck, or whip up dinner in the spacious kitchen. The stone fireplace in the great room is perfect for chilly nights. Cozy up on the couch to catch a movie anytime.
Open the large sliding glass doors in the dining room to enjoy the warm summer nights. Expansive decks both upstairs and down allow so many views of the lake and room to relax.
Our lakeside patio is perfect for stargazing and the large dock on a quiet creek with deep water is excellent for swimming and boating. The kayaks and paddle boards are always available for your use. We have a new hot tub and a large yard.
With an office and extra daybed on the lower level, you can spread out or get away for some work. In the game room, you'll find extra space for puzzles, board games, and darts.
We have plenty of free parking in a gravel driveway out front.
You're going to love it here!

The house is beautiful and comfortable with a wonderful lake view. The kitchen is supplied with anything you might need and everything in good order. The host is gracious and responsive. It’s also very close to the state park. This is a perfect option for friends and family to gather for a relaxing, fun getaway.

Beautiful and well-maintained property! And Barbara is a thoughtful and attentive host! The house is well stocked. We loved the view, firepit and dock, of course. But it was the expansive game collection that saved us on rainy days!

Pinnacle cabin

We had a wonderful time and the host was fantastic. Lots of water toys nice fire pit and location on the water was wonderful. The dock had ample space to play around on the house was beautiful well decorated and beautiful features well lit at night ample parking easy access to the water Beds comfortable the kitchen had everything you would need even a wine cooler.. outdoor furniture, top-of-the-line we will definitely go back

Our family of 6 had an amazing week at this property! The house was extremely clean and well stocked. There was something for everyone from indoor games (foosball) to a dock stocked with kayaks, paddle boards and floaties. Our 2 dogs loved the large yard and swimming in the lake. We will definitely be back in the future.

Perfect vaca home

This home provided for another great SML vaca. House designed well for vacationing- clean, well stocked, comfortable beds, and host had a lot of extra touches that made you feel welcomed. Only thing to be aware of is there is a bit of a walk to the dock and could be harder for someone with mobility issues. We hope to come back though to this beautiful home. Thank you Barbara for sharing your home and for being an amazing host!

Everything you could have asked for and more

wow wow wow! We travelled with our two sets of twins (teenage boys and teenage girls) and one of their friends as well as our two beagles. inside layout was fantastic. main floor had a wide open kitchen, breakfast and family room combined which was perfect for everyone relaxing inside. walk out wrap around deck pity multiple doors and wide views overlooking the water. 3 spacious bedrooms 3 full baths on same floor with a swinging closable door separating all the rooms. basement included another room and bath and a smallish but well designed game room.outside was just as great including an easy to use hot tub, lower level patio and fire pit and spacious well designed dock.Little additions were everywhere from the easy to use smart lights/devices and scattered games / novelties including scavenger hunts to the mini sand beach, horseshoe pit, paddlebalrds, kayaks and canoes. plus we really liked how it was off a quiet cove making it easy to swim without major current. we took advantage of everything and took mental notes for our own lake home of the future. only small downside would be slightly hilly walk but it's well laid out with easy to use steps plus the hill makes the view from the house better. sorry that we didn't take any pics of the house/dock as we spent most of our time in the moment/enjoying without pictures. would absolutely stay here again!

Holiday getaway

Stayed here for a getaway after the holidays. Beautiful cabin, clean with all the amenities. We really enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and fishing from the dock - caught a couple nice sized catfish. Hosts were readily available for any questions or minor issues. Will look to stay here again.

Second time back to this property

This is our second visit back to this property. We love it here. The dog has easy access with the small little beach that’s provided. We had good fishing off the dock and plenty of toys and games to play with. We had terrible weather and power outage however we still had, a great time and the property manager reached out to us with updates on restore power as well as other activities in the area to do while we were there. Highly recommend.

Perfect Getaway

From check-in to check-out, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The waterway off the dock is very low traffic. The paddleboards and kayaks were in great shape along with the paddles to operate them. We fished and swam at our leisure and were not bothered by anyone. The house was stocked with sheets and towels so we overpacked there and we had plenty of toilet paper and paper towels already at the house too! Food Lion delievered our food for the week and the local corner store and Alessandro's made dinners easy. We rented a boat too from Mariner's Landing which is a two minute boat ride from the dock. The fire pit area was great, the hot tub was great and the silence outside was great. All the upgrades in the house and all of the kitchen gadgets, silverware and dishware made it feel like home. The owner's know what they are doing...great, great place to stay!

Awesome lake property!

We've been going to SML since 2016. This was the best rental yet. It is in a quiet cove with deep water. The house is fantastic, and the location on the lake can't be beat. We will go back.

Family Vacation Cabin

We enjoyed our yearly family vacation at this wonderful cabin. It had a great warm and welcoming cabin feel from the moment we entered. It is probably one of the most well stocked kitchens of any vacation rental I’ve had! We also love the location as it was very convenient to other attractions we wanted to enjoy such as golfing, Mariners landings Beach, and Bridgewater Marina. There are two issues I would like future renters to be aware of regarding this property. The first is it is a long way down to the dock and/or beach area. There are steppingstones, however no railing. As my eldest grandson who is eight years old has mild hemiparesis on the left side it was a precarious walk, and I believe it would be for elderly family members as well. The other issue is that, although the home is welcoming to pets, there is no gate on the deck to confine the dogs and keep them from running free. Once my family got down to the dock and or the Sandy Beach area, we had a wonderful time swimming with the kids! My 4 year old grandson even learned to jump off the dock and swim back to the ladder! We enjoyed eating on the deck and taking in the wonderful views in the evenings.

Lakefront Beauty

My family thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Pinnacle Cabin! The backyard view is amazing! Great private dock with deep water. We rented a boat for the week and docked it there. We enjoyed the kayaks and fishing. The owner is very responsive and takes such pride in her property. The cabin is clean, comfortable and decorated nicely. Felt like a home away from home. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you Barbara for your hospitality!

Great Stay

We were in town for our daughter's graduation from Liberty University so unfortunately we weren't able to spend as much time there as we would have liked. It was a great cabin with a great view! We enjoyed our coffee on the deck. Our kids said how comfortable their beds were. The daybed extra room (which we didn't use) is a separate entrance from the house. The bathrooms were very nice and new, as well as the kitchen. It was a winding road to get there from Lynchburg. We ate at Napoli on the Lake (1/2 hour drive) which I highly recommend too. It was a great stay.

Family Memories

This house is the perfect blend of old and new. It is beautiful! We especially loved the large wrap around deck. The beds are comfortable, bathrooms are new and the swinging door separating the bedrooms from the living area was really convenient for those wanting quiet and additional rest. The owners have thought of all the details - the smart lights are so helpful, there are plenty of outlets, and some essentials to get started (toilet paper, sponge, etc). This was our first visit to Smith Mountain Lake and we can’t wait to come back! We played the provided board games, did a hike at the nearby Smith Mountain Lake State Park, hung out on the dock, in the hot tub and at the fire pit. We also loved that our dog was able to join us - he really enjoyed bird watching on the deck. We made many great memories and are already talking about booking this house again! Thank you for a wonderful trip!

Perfect for Four Octogenarians and a 40-something...

I was looking for a safe and accessible rental to host my elders. The two large bedrooms, bathrooms for everyone, one level access, and lake views were perfect! We really enjoyed the gas stove as it kept the main area very comfortable. The swinging door was super functional to keep noise away from the early to bedders and late risers. The host provided great tips for stocking up on groceries prior to arriving to make arrival/check in seamless. I was able to prepare 2 meals a day for our group with the superbly stocked kitchen - it even had a slow cooker!

pinnacle paradise

Accommodations were better than imagined. The view is fantastic, the location ideal, the host preparation of living spaces was top notch. Everything was outstanding and we hope to return to this very VRBO rental next year. Truly one of our best VRBO experiences!

Vacation Home Rules

Best vacation home rental! We had the most amazing time. This rental home provides everything you could possibly want. It’s nice to go to a home rental where everything is provided. From the linens to every thing you could possibly want in the kitchen on top of that you have a hot tub, an amazing dock with paddle boards and kayaks, as well as other, entertaining features, such as the fire pit area and horseshoe Area. And on top of all these wonderful features, you have the beautiful views of the lake. The only thing that I wish we would’ve done differently is brought more of our friends and family.

Smith Mountain Lake is unique with its deep water and quiet coves that allow for fishing, swimming and relaxing. It's beautiful all year round.
We've spend a couple of weeks here each summer with family and friends enjoying all the lake offers. There is no better way to spend time together than at this house!

Recently renovated, we've brought modern amenities to this lakeside cabin. You'll love the tiled showers, the quartz countertops, and the extra beverage fridge! The new hot tub is the best place to unwind at the end of the day. Our quiet creek is perfect for swimming and kayaking!
We are on a quiet street, but not far from great restaurants and grocery stores. Also nearby is a golf course, tennis and pickleball courts.
We can host up to 6 people with 3 bedrooms plus an office with a day bed to spread out as necessary.
Need to do some work while staying with us? The office has a desk, a Wi-Fi booster and a beautiful lake view!
