Meraki Suites Dauro

Fabuloso apartamento a los pies de la Alhambra. Situado en la misma Carrera del Darro, en edificio antiguo de principios de siglo conservando su patio central con columnas, techos altos de madera, totalmente reformado para su comodidad pero sin perder las señas de identidad que lo hacen único. A pocos minutos del Mirador de San Nicolás, Sacromonte, Catedral...Acceso en taxi hasta la misma puerta, ya que el barrio del Albaicin, donde nos encontramos, fue declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco en 1994, y debido a esto el tráfico de vehículos está muy restringido. Rodeado de los típicos bares de tapas, teterias, Cuevas con tablaos flamencos, lo que puedas imaginar para descansar, pasear, ocio...y pasarlo bien decidas lo que decidas sin depender de coche para ello exprimiendo al máximo cada momento.

Carmen met us at the Suite and showed us around and answered all our questions which was appreciated. This is a beautiful property located close to everything with all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay. It was easy to get around and had all the shops we needed closeby for food etc.. I would highly recommend.

It was such a nice treat to have a bottle of wine, two beers, a bottle of water and some candies when we arrived. The communication was excellent they responded very quickly to any questions. The location was excellent.

The apartment is extremely clean and beautiful. We stayed for 3 nights and it was very comfortable.

The owners were very nice, and location couldn’t better. I would stay there again and highly recommend it.

Charming and Great location

This place was great, wonderfully decorated and very friendly and welcoming. If you are a light sleeper, the windows don't block out much of the outside noise. If you are a sound sleeper this place is great.

Lovely, comfortable apartment in perfect location

This was a wonderful apartment: cool, clean, nicely decorated. Comfortable beds. Wine and beer to welcome us. In the best location, w easy walking to all the sites. View of the Alhambra. Cafes and bars nearby. We loved our stay. The host and Carmen who let us in were both responsive and kind.

Granada apartment in perfect spot

The apartment was well decorated and perfectly appointed. Everyone was very helpful and nice. The weather was quite cold in Grenada in late Dec and the apartment is better suited to warmer season visits, but we were quite pleased with everything despite the cold weather.

Family time in Granada

We are a small family from Canada who spent almost 3 weeks in Granada while studying Spanish and enjoying the sights. The apartment was conveniently located on Carrera del Darro, which can get quite busy at times. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The kitchen a bit small for our needs but worked well enough. Granada is such a beautiful place!

My stay at Granada

Location was great. Allowed for great walking to bars restaurants and shops. Carmen was excellent at meeting us at checking and provided us with a bottle of red wine and beers at check ins. Very hospital. Sadly had to reach out to VRBO customer service to get check in day information from owner. Owner was not very responsive.

Thanks for your opinion, we think it could be good to help others people and clarify it. Thanks too for appreciate the welcome details we offered you as welcome. Coffee and tes too. When guest confirm an stay with us they received the welcome information, at least 2 phone number and we keep on contact for any extra information guest can need about the check in and welcome. When if possible we offer early check in like in this case... We did it In advance. But sometimes, we couldn't confirm the exact time for early check in, in advance (5-6 days before) cause it depends on checks out of that day, etc. Guest checked in before the check in time, In this case. Finally, we think it could be easier for visitors text, call us directly In case any doubt before that call customer service.

We were told the host would greet as at the property location (granted it was late10 pm) but instead we were directed from our taxi drop off point over the phone. The following morning, she dropped by but was in a rush and not inclined to take time to give recommendations or advise. The accommodation was in a terrific location on a historically significant street and central to heart of Granada. It was attractive with comfortable beds, and we did appreciate the bottle of wine and 2 cervesas.

First trip to Granada!

We arrived in Granada by train and it was an easy taxi ride to the property. A photo of the exterior might help as from the outside it does not look like the right place and there was no one immediately there to let us in (we were a little earlier than we'd said). However a quick phone call to the contact given us by the owner and we were in! Our ground floor apartment was spotlessly clean, well appointed and with some lovely touches. Thank you for the welcome bottle of wine, beer, olives and sweets! The apartment has no natural daylight and other than the wonderful entrance courtyard, no sense of 'outside' but after a day of sightseeing and hustle and bustle it provided a lovely oasis of quiet. Perfect for a break in February!

A historical jewel in Granada

Location is exceptional. Great places to eat in either direction and a grocery store very close by. Old town, surrounded by history, with hammam and Flamenco shows within a block. Views of the Alhambra across the street (and can see the apartment from the Alhambra). Great design of the apartment to maintain the historical features while making it comfortable, functional and unique. Met in person by a property manager, lots of little extras (welcome drinks, medicine kit, tea available). One note, our taxi would not take us directly to the apartment so we had to walk the last half block in the old part of the city with our baggage. During our visit I noticed some taxis (and transit buses) did proceed down that street, so our driver may have not had the right permit or just been unwilling to take us right to the door. If toting baggage is an issue, you may want to confirm with your ride service where they can drop you.

Thanks a lot for your review. It is a pleasure when guest have a nice stay and experience in Granada at Meraki Suites. City center is not allow for private cars, only available for Taxis, buses and private cars with parking or especial permissions. Sometimes if there is and special event could be restricted trafic for those vehicles and it should be necessary walk until the apartment but normally taxi and public transport leave and take people in the main entrance of the apartment. «Meraki Suites Staff»

Great location

This is a very cute little apartment that is in the historical district. You can see the Alhambra from inside the gate through the patio opening. We walked everywhere while we stayed there. Walked to Alhambra and multiple shops and restaurants. Pros: Walkable Great location Historic building and architecture Gelato shop across cobble stone street from apartment Little grocery store just two doors down. Nice outdoor restaurants less tha 100 m from apartment. Great host. Cons: We had a very stressful CheckIn! In fairness this does not seem to be typical and there were very extenuating circumstances for it. Francisco worked had for make it right. I don’t think others would have this experience. WiFi reception was not great. I had to get some work done and it made things challenging. Francisco helped identify places I could go and get WiFi with a beverage which worked out well. He states they are working to update WiFi.

Sorry once again about the delay on check in but when we organize everything and the person on charge of doing that had a health problem at the last time, we hadn't time to activate the plan B to welcome you at the moment we was talked. Wifi: Finally we could change the internet company and now is working well. It took more time that we would wanted. Now fiber company works almost perfect. we try to do each day our best and when problems arrives, we work hard to solve everything will be in our hands. come back soon!!! Lovely small apartment, but beware of street noise

Overall a lovely little apartment right on the Carrera del Darro in a typical old building with several similar apartments all backing onto a central atrium - the atrium door opens right onto the Carrera del Darro, and in a few paces you're looking up at the Alhambra from a lovely public space with several reasonably-priced restaurants, a guitarist or 2 playing Spanish music, etc. The Albaicin is right behind, with lovely little streets and more bars/restaurants, & within a short (steep) walk you reach Mirador de San Nicolas with a fantastic view of the Alhambra from across the valley. The apartment's well-appointed including a washing machine. It is small, but with the sofa bed it could fairly easily sleep 6 people (but could feel a bit of a squeeze). The kitchen is very small but perfectly functional and adequate. The only real problem we had was with the street noise outside, especially at night - Carrera del Darro (cobbled street) has taxis, buses, delivery vehicles & mopeds going past at regular intervals all night & so we found it impossible to sleep in the lower double bedroom. We resorted to one of us sleeping on the sofa bed in the living area, the other buying earplugs from the local supermarket. It's a ground floor apartment and some windows back directly onto a side street. Overall we enjoyed our stay here but we'd urge the owners to address the noise issues somehow.

Acogedor pequeño apartamento en el corazón del Albaicin

El apartamento se encuentra en el lugar perfecto para recorrer todo el Albaicin y también la parte antigua y la zona del Ayuntamiento de Granada. Carmen ha sido muy amable con nosotros y nos ayudó en todo lo que necesitamos, realmente fue una gran anfitriona.

Fin de semana en Granda en parejas

Veníamos de Valencia y estuvimos en Granada 2 noches dos parejas en Meraki Suites, en todo momento la anfitriona estuvo atenta al whatsapp para las dudas. El apartamento está situado en uno de mis sitos favoritos de la ciudad, El Paseo de los Tristes que además está muy cerca de las zonas céntricas e históricas de interés. La casa es preciosa y no le falta un detalle, puede darte pereza salir a la calle cuando te tomas una cervecita esperando a que el grupo esté listo para empezar a turistear!! La relación calidad precio es insuperable. Yo ya lo he recomendado a mis amigos! De 10 :)

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

porque define el entorno, con corrala tipica del Albaycin, aljibe, columnas de piedra, techos altos de increible silencio en el interior por sus grandes muros pero sin dejar de estar en el punto neurálgico que lleva al Albaycin

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Ubicada en la calle principal del Albaycin, debajo de la Alhambra y a 3 minutos andando del centro. Esta ubicación hace que sea posible llegar en taxi o bus hasta la misma puerta, algo complicado en la zona del Albaycin
