The home is even better than the photos. Lots of space. Clean. Amazing location. Martin and his family were great hosts. They gave us privacy but were available as needed. Really a great spot to stay. We would love to return.

Modern, spacious house

Seven of us stayed in the house for a week after Christmas. The house is clean and very spacious, so there was lots of room for all of us. We made good use of the pool table, foosball table, indoor/outdoor fire places and the outdoor mini-football field. Walter and Priscilla were responsive and helpful hosts. Terceira is a great island, and everything is in easy driving distance. We enjoyed the location of the house, but it is a long walk, about an hour and partly through a more industrial area, into the heart of Praia da Vitoria.

Perfect for families

Spacious home with nice swimming pool and a great games room, large bedrooms and outdoor playa area. The location makes a car or transportation means a must. Great hosts, responsive and helpful.

We've traveled the world and this house is AMAZING

Walter and Priscilla were consummate hosts -- warm and accommodating, accessible and communicative, and thoughtfully designed and decorated each nook of this amazing home. The rooms were delightfully decorated and well appointed, with plenty of closet space, and incredibly quiet. I can truly say it was the best sleep I have ever had during any stay abroad (and who doesn't love seeing cows from your bedroom window when you arise!) The common areas were perfect to enjoy time together and group meals but spacious enough that friends could have one on one time or do something independent. Even though the temp was cool- we did not miss a day enjoying the pool- especially the privacy and idyllic country setting (along with many fun photos with the unicorn float)! Our memories of a joyful week with friends at this relaxing magnificent home we will treasure forever.

Family Trip

We rented Martin guest house for a family trip with 16 people. Martin guest house was perfect. Everyone had their own private space and could still come together in the very large and comfortable common living area. Upstairs there is even more gathering space in the second floor game room. Kitchen was well appointed with everything we could need. Six bedrooms and seven baths, perfect! Well maintained and clean. Laundry facilities and beautiful pool, the whole package. But most importantly we were most impressed with the hosts of Martin Guest House! From meeting us at the airport to being available for anything we needed they were amazing. My family recommends Martin Guest House if you are traveling to the beautiful island of Terceira.

Beautiful Home

We enjoyed four nights at the property. The home was so peaceful and roomy. We walked into Praia each day and really enjoyed seeing the bullfights. Highly recommend!

Priscila was very kind and always available. To improve: central hitting not working and fire place eith no wood so the living room was cold. Bathroom on the 1st floor with a strange smell.

Beautiful property on a beautiful island and the nicest managers I have ever dealt with. They decorated the house for Christmas beftwe arrived then stopped by with gifts on Christmas Eve. Way exceeded my expectation. Love them

Awesome place!

We really enjoyed our stay on the island and this house was one of the big reasons why. It is huge and really well laid out. The views are just amazing too! However, the absolute best part is the owners. Walter and Priscilla are really accommodating people and will help make sure your time on the island is what you are looking for.

A beautiful property well suited to our needs...great support from the owners!

We were greeted at the airport by Walter ( the owner) and he drove us in his nine passenger van ( which we rented from him for our 9 day stay) to the house. The house is extremely spacious and very well fitted out. We were a family of eight adults and one 8 year old child and two infants..The bedrooms had been set up in advance with the two cots for the babies and all bedrooms had a walk in closet andtheir own en-suite Bathroom with either a shower or a bathtub ( the largest bedroom had a whirlpool tub and a shower) The bedrooms were all spacious and the linens were of excellent quality. My wife and I had the largest bedroom and our daughter and her husband had the one beside us.. during the night we never heard their baby cry even though apparently he did wake several times during the nights we were there. All of us remarked how well soundproofed each bedroom was. The main living area is very spacious with plenty of sitting space for us all to hang out. The kitchen was large and well equipped plenty of room for us to sit and chat while meals were being prepared and good sitting space if you chose to eat in the kitchen ( although we most often ate in the dining area or on the patio) there were two high chairs for the babies ( as well as two car seats for the babies for use in the van or the other car that Walter helped us to rent. Walter showed us how to use his outside wood fired oven and charcoal grill(side by side) and my son-in-law cooked many dinners on charcoal made from the wood fires in the oven .. it was delicious When we arrived we asked Walter if he knew where we might rent bicycles and he immediately phoned a company who delivered the bikes to our door and picked them up at the end of our trip! He and his wife popped over on our second day just to see if we needed any help and offered to change our linens half way through our visit! they were both very gracious and friendly and helpful .. it made our stay very relaxed Their were more bedrooms than we needed as we only used the 5 downstairs rooms. Upstairs is a great games room with a pool table and a foosball table and some table games.. it was extremely spacious and had an outside patio as well. Even with such a large family and so many kids it was easy for any of us to get a bit of quiet time for ourselves as there was so many living areas to hang out in!! The views from all sides of the house were very beautiful and we loved our stay in The Azores. Our Hosts were excellent!!
