Papa Bear Cabin ofrece 1 cama queen en la suite principal, 2 camas matrimoniales en el dormitorio de arriba y 2 camas matrimoniales en la suite del piso inferior. (Duerme 8). Sala de estar abierta, chimenea de piedra (traiga su propia leña), cocina totalmente equipada, amplia terraza con mesa, sillas y barbacoa. Todas las comodidades del hogar, además de un hermoso cielo azul claro, aire limpio, montañas, árboles, senderos, cascadas, animales y pájaros. Papa Bear Cabin ofrece ropa de cama y toallas. Hay TV de pantalla plana en la sala de estar y cada habitación está conectada al satélite DISH. La cocina está completamente amueblada, con vajilla y utensilios, cocina y horno eléctricos, microondas, lavavajillas, barbacoa, DVD y TV vía satélite DISH.

Wonderful cabin in Yosemite!

We loved our stay at PaPa Bear Cabin and would definitely recommend it. It was clean, spacious, well-stocked, and comfortable. We would absolutely return.

Big trees

Although the interior was dated, the stay was quite and pleasant. Neighbors were friendly and the cabin was clean and had ample kitchen utensils, pots and pans. The stay, in my opinion, was better than a hotel or B&B. Grocery store was within walking distance and restaurants not far. We will probably rent cabin again May of 2025

Great quiet location

Overall great! Location specially, away enough from the Valley (where is full of people everywhere) but close enough too to be able to come back and forward if wanted. Perfect for families or group of friends. 3 large comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Would be great to have the laundry available but it is not, so take extra clothes.

Great location. Below average accommodations.

Great spot close to the park. But the house itself looks like it hasn’t been touched since the 1970’s. In general that can be cool but the carpet throughout the house is dirty and gross, the heat doesn’t work upstairs, and other items don’t work. It was very dusty and in general needs a lot of TLC by the owner. Also no access to a washer and dryer and no shampoo. It seems like the owner knows they have a good location so doesn’t try to make the house adequate or on par with most VRBO rentals from this century. I would not stay here again.

Needs major update

Communication was good. Size was nice. The cleaners were thorough but almost everything was worn out, chipped, very old. No shampoo, no tissues provided. Deck was a mess, peeling paint, rickety stairs. The carpet inside was very stained. No AC even though it was 100 degrees. Old towels in the bathrooms. Owners are doing the bare minimum on upkeep.

Freezing in Yosemite

This place would be beautiful in the summer but on no occasion should you stay there in cold weather. The heating in all but one room did not work, we contacted all the people available but to no avail. They even had PERMANENT signs above the heating systems saying out of order do not use, so I presume they never had any intention of fixing it any time soon. At least give more than one blanket (in most rooms, but not all) as it was so cold in there. The fireplace worked once we got it going but only after 20 minutes of a smoke filled room. Yosemite is a beautiful place so it was unfortunate that we had to endure such unsatisfactory accommodations.

Super schöne gemütliche Hütte im Yosemite

Diese Hütte ist wirklich zu empfehlen. Wir waren zu sechst für 4 Tage in der Hütte. Sowohl Sauberkeit als auch Qualität waren spitze. Der Checkin rieb reibungslos ab. Man fühlt sich als sofort wohl in der Holzhütte, welche sowohl einen offenen Kamin, Fernseher, viele Zimmer inklusive jeweils eigenem Badezimmer und großer Küche beinhalten. Die große Terrasse mit Weber-Grill lädt sofort für ein BBQ ein. Rundum eine perfekte Unterkunft. Um zum Valley zu kommen, benötigt man ca. 45min.

Owners Need to put a more effort in updating a few things are going the property There and 8 track player on the living room ( 8track ) with a record player kitchen is completely rundown from the 70s TVs are 15 years old you can really bring this property back into the 22nd century with a few hundred bucks but clearly the owner just care about profit. Half the heaters don’t work. Half of the lights don’t work. We have stayed in many cabins prior to this we are also landlords and we are in the RV rental business as well, we know what to expect overall I give this property a 6 out of 10

Loved staying here.

Great location and very clean and spacious! We ran out of propane for grill and the property managers immediately refilled it when we asked. Only suggestion would be some mattress toppers to make bed more comfy and maybe make it more clear on website that no fires are allowed in fireplace until November.

Place was NOT CLEANED

We arrived and the unit had an overall musty smell. The freezer contained old food and had a meat smell with an ice tray that had been half used. The grill was dirty and under the bed in the upstairs room had the belongings of some previous guest. In light of COVID19 this was incredibly unsettling! We spent the first part of our trip thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting which we SHOULD not have to do. I am requesting that we are refunded the cleaning fee. Please provide this feedback to the management company because this has nothing to do with the owners. Very scary

Loved Papa Bear's cabin! Would stay again!

Great cabin! Very comfortable and fully accommodated! Highly recommend if you are traveling to Yosemite with a group! Only downsides would be there is no washer/dryer, it's an hour drive from Yosemite valley, and there are no lights outside at night (it was horrifying when we pulled in around 10 p.m. and there were no lights on or near the property, it felt like a scene from a horror movie).

Great trip to Wawona

The house was great, comfortable and largely as expected. Our only complaint is that we had expected firewood to be included, as per the VRBO posting, but when we got there we learned that this was not the case and the book of the house rules indicated that we needed to purchase our own wood. This was pretty difficult as the house is not near much, but the neighbor was nice enough to give us some wood for our first evening there. Hopefully, the posting for the house gets corrected soon.

Yosemite Weekend Retreat

My family thoroughly enjoyed staying at Papa Bear Cabin this past weekend! A very beautiful and peaceful setting with two deer to greet us each day. We liked the open floor plan for the living, dining and kitchen area. Very clean. This was the perfect accommodations for our family of 6. The large deck area was a great place to relax in between our ventures out for the day, to Glacier Point and Yosemite Valley. The little market around the corner is very convenient. We would have liked to have known ahead of time, that we could not use the fireplace during our stay. We would not have brought so much firewood with us. We do understand the reason. The cabin information stated for us to bring our own firewood. Other than that small bit of information, we would love to stay again. Awesome time! Thank you!
