Great Family Spot

We stayed here with my daughter and her friends. There was plenty of space and great location for fishing. The condo was clear and well stocked with everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Beds and bedding were very comfortable. We could have used luggage racks and more hooks for our towels. Kitchen was missing baking pans and cooking spoons. Yes our family likes to cook. Cushions and rug in living room have done their time. Would we come back? Definitely!

Condo was very spacious, clean, and very nicely decorated. The check-in and check-out process was so nice and easy. We appreciated the 2 parking spots, the beautiful pool, and the fishing pier.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our time in condo 215. The layout was great for our family and what we needed. The pool was fantastic and the kids loving going out on the private pier to fish. We also took multiple walks and adventures to the beach and jetty due to it's close proximity to the marina and "downtown" Port A. The condo did have a couple of things missing that we had to buy: a blender and oven mitts. When we notified the property manager, they were quick to respond and offered to go buy a blender. We had already bought one since we were at the store. Beyond those small items, we enjoyed our stay!

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: window blinds not functioning correctly when we arrived. TV poor picture quality and remote did not work. No dish towels provided. Didn't care for the mirror above master bed however we slept well and it was comfortable. Liked updated Kit. Management required us to take trash to dumpster when we left. For the price we paid that's just wrong.

We have stayed in Channelview Condos before, so we didn't expect less than a great stay. This was just a little different as we came together for a pre-Thanksgiving weekend. Different couples that hadn't stayed under one roof ended up being nothing but a great time. Plenty of room, time fishing at whatever hour of the day, and playing games as the owner leaves available for the occupants was amazing for those that hadn't been here before. Best of all a full kitchen to cook the meal that we planned. Thank you for having us. We can't wait to come back to share love and laughs with family and/or friends.

Great Winter Get-A-Way

My two sons and I stayed 3 nights and had a great time. Didn't try the heated pool due to cold temperatures but managed to catch a few fish from the pier. Very nice property overall.

Pleasant surprise

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I only discovered Port A escapes a few weeks ago and never used them before. The experience was painless. I found them very accommodating and everything went as it should. The condo was beautiful, well furnished, well appointed and actually a lot larger than I expected. One disappointment was I was expecting a patio or balcony and there was none. Nor was there a view of the channel, at least from this particular condo. On a lesser scale, the coffee pot was inoperative and the only working light in the bedroom with the king bed was the one on the ceiling fan, which was operated by a chain only about an inch long.

July 2021 Trip - Channelview- Port A

We have stayed at Channelview a number of times over the last 25 (or more) years and have seen the upswing and a slight decline in the property and then stabilized. Then Harvey comes along. The renovations have renewed our expectations. The improvements, cleanliness and the addition of the access gates with a security person that actually makes his rounds, gives a more relaxed feeling when coming in from the pier at 2 or 3 a.m. The only item that is still a long time concern is the elevator, even though we have never encountered a failure, the feeling is not good until the doors open to get off. We always have one of us take the stairs and wait for the others to arrive. Overall excellent!! The pier repairs are great.

Only issue was one of the owners complained that we had too many people that didn't belong, but our family rented out 4 condos, so we had at least 30 members and were accused of not belonging. We don't pay as much as the owners, but we paid enough & they made us feel uncomfortable as guests.
