Wisteria Cottage - Vine and Wisteria Cottages

En el corazón de la hermosa campiña del sur de Bretaña descansan Vine y Wisteria Cottages. Son parte de una pequeña aldea llamada Hevedic (que significa Pequeño Santuario en bretón) dentro de un área de conservación, de la cual la paz y la tranquilidad apenas han cambiado desde el reinado de Luis XIV. Estas hermosas cabañas de piedra tienen impresionantes techos abovedados, destacando maravillosas vigas y cada cabaña tiene una gran chimenea bretona en su corazón. Descubra en su tiempo libre un jardín de 1 acre con bañera de leña ardiente, un potager lleno de flores, hierbas y verduras y muchos rincones escondidos para sentarse y relajarse. Hevedic Wood tiene muchos caminos que conducen al río Blavet y la pequeña ciudad de Quistinic se puede llegar de esta manera si no desea conducir. Un ciclo / sendero corre al lado del río que pasa a través de las ciudades y aldeas a la costa en una dirección o Pontivy en la otra. Esta zona es perfecta para practicar ciclismo de montaña, ciclismo de carretera, trail running, kayak y senderismo. Poul Fetan, la aldea de la cultura francesa del siglo XVI, se encuentra a 5 minutos a pie y ofrece un día perfecto con anfitriones disfrazados que reactivan la vida aquí en el pasado y una taberna que vende sidras y cervezas locales y comidas bretonas. El dormitorio principal tiene un baño en suite equipado con un lavamanos con iluminación y toma de corriente y WC. Un dormitorio con dos camas tiene ducha separada, unidad de lavamanos con iluminación y toma de corriente y WC. Ambas habitaciones tienen techos abovedados con vigas a la vista. El salón tiene una chimenea de estilo bretón con estufa de leña que calienta los radiadores en toda la propiedad, dos sofás y una mesa de centro de pino. Se proporciona televisión por satélite en inglés, DVD y reproductor de CD. También hay una selección de DVD, CD, libros y juegos. Cocina / comedor totalmente equipada tiene unidades modernas con muchas superficies de trabajo, un horno empotrado y cocina, nevera, lavavajillas, lavadora, microondas, cafetera, cafetera, tabla de planchar y plancha. Fabulous Gite, stunning location

Four adults stayed at Wisteria Cottage and it was perfect. The hosts are British and the levels of cleanliness were excellent. We used the hot tub on both nights of our stay and the garden was available for our use too. The hosts left freshly baked bread, eggs and cidre for us in the welcome basket as well as butter and cheese in the fridge. Everything was well thought out, cleaning items were on hand and extra teabags were given to us as well which was so kind. Towels for showering and separate towels and robes for the hot tub were provided and there was plenty of information about what to do in the area. We would have loved to have stayed longer and highly recommend if you’re considering going. Thank you again for allowing us to enjoy your truly wonderful gite.

un lieu pour se détendre

Un endroit où l'on se sent absolument bien. Nous avons été accueillis très chaleureusement et nous nous sommes sentis très bien dans notre beau cottage. Il ne manquait vraiment rien. Surtout quand on arrive très tard après une journée de voyage, on apprécie beaucoup d'avoir déjà du pain, des œufs et du cidre qui nous attendent. Linda et David sont des propriétaires très attentifs et chaleureux. La situation est particulière, un peu isolée, mais absolument calme, entourée de forêts et de champs. Les côtes avec leurs magnifiques villes de Carnac, Vannes et la Belle Ile En Mer, mais aussi de nombreuses plages sont facilement accessibles en voiture. Ce furent des jours de détente que nous ne voudrions pas manquer. A place to feel absolutely at home. We received a very warm welcome and felt very comfortable in our beautiful cottage. There was really nothing missing. Especially when you arrive very late after a day of travelling, you really appreciate having bread, eggs and cider waiting for you. Linda and David are very attentive and warm landlords. The location is special, somewhat isolated, but absolutely peaceful, surrounded by woods and fields. The coast with its wonderful towns of Carnac, Vannes and the beautiful island of Belle Ile En Mer, but also many beaches are easily accessible by car. These were relaxing days that we would not have wanted to miss.

Just Lovely

Gorgeous gite cottage in a beautiful setting. Linda and Dave could not have been more helpful and accommodating and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Wisteria cottage was immaculately clean and very well equipped. The gardens are gorgeous and the hot tub was a great treat! Good location for exploring this region of Brittany. Loved Vannes, Josselin and 10 year old daughter (and her parents) really enjoyed Kingoland! The elderly Felix the Cat was great company too! Overall a wonderful holiday was had by all. Big thanks again to Linda and Dave! Would not hesitate to recommend Wisteria Cottage, its hosts and this gorgeous part of France.

Perfect holiday home for a week of exploring with everything you need for a home from home

We spent a week here end of august 2022 and had a wonderful week exploring southern Brittany. The hosts David and Linda were excellent. Plenty of helpful information and nothing was too much trouble. Even supplying a hoover to empty half the beach out of the car. Wisteria Cottage is one of three extremely well equipped holiday cottages, each with wonderful character and charm. The cottage is spacious with 2 good size bedrooms and 2 shower rooms. Outside the front faces south and is sheltered from any breeze. The hosts set up badminton, table tennis and sun loungers around the gardens and grounds. There is even a log fired hot tub. We would not hesitate to stay here again and would heartily recommend to family and friends. At night only the crickets and owls can be heard, the location is perfect to escape a busy working life. Thank you David and Linda for a most enjoyable holiday.

Idyllisches Paradies

Wir sind nach längerer Anfahrt im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes im Paradies gelandet. Linda und David haben uns herzlich empfangen und der HotPot nach der langen Reise eine Wohltat, dazu der schöne Garten und das Cottage sowie die kleinen Überaschungen zur Begrüßung. Alles ist liebvoll gestaltet und dekoriert worden, bis ins kleinste Detail. Die Ausflugsziele in den Süden oder Rennes sind alle gut und schnell zu erreichen. Lohnenswert ist auch ein Spaziergang durch den kleinen Wald, der hinter der Häuserreihe beginnt. Vorallem jetzt, wo die kleinen lilafarbenen "Hasenglöckchen" blühen. Wir können die Unterkunft nur jedem weiterempfehlen.

Great stay

Really beautiful cottage with everything you need and more- fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds, fireplace, and even plastic glasses for the hot tub. The garden is lovely and peaceful with plenty of secluded areas to sit and a nice hot tub. There is a welcome basket on arrival and loads of information about the property and things to do. Dave and Linda are very friendly, helpful and accomadating. I would definitely recommend this gite and hope to stay again

Wonderful!

We spent 3 days at David and Linda's cute Cottage, and we won't forget it! The house and surroundings were so nice and cozy, and our hosts very welcoming! Would totally recommand anyone coming here to vist the region or simply have some time for resting just like we did. Definitely will come back if we have the the possibility :)

A wonderful and relaxing holiday

We had a wonderful stay at Wisteria Cottage. The location is very peaceful and is great for getting away from it all but within a fairly short drive of the coast and some lovely towns and villages. A great place to relax, enjoy BBQ's in the large gardens and soak in the wood fired hot tub. The river blavet is close by and is great for walks and cycling. We made good use of the bikes that were available and enjoyed kayaking on the river. Linda and David were very welcoming and provided many useful tips to make the most of our holiday . Thank you for a great family holiday and we hope to return again soon.

Beautiful cottage in a superb location!

Linda and David were the perfect hosts, made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived! The property is all you could ask for and more, with a lovely welcome pack of supplies and Linda’s home made goodies! Plenty to do in the area but plenty to do at the property if you stay in! We will be back!

It would be hard to exaggerate what an excellent property this is for a get-away-from-it-all holiday. It is a beautiful cottage, and no creature comforts have been overlooked, from the comfortable furniture to the luxurious fluffy towels and robes or the welcome hamper of home made bread and jam, eggs laid by the owners' own hens, biscuits and other treats. The situation is idyllic, in a location which is both peaceful and beautiful. The hot tub is wonderful on a cool evening. But most of all the friendly and informative attention of the owners, whose knowledge of the area is encyclopaedic, and for whom nothing is too much trouble made this a truly memorable stay. I'm already looking at my diary to see when I can come back.

Ein außergewöhnlich schöner Aufenthalt

Wisteria cottage ist ein wunderschönes, vollständig renoviertes Cottage mit besonderem Charme, das mit allem ausgestattet ist, was man benötigt. In dem großen, liebevoll gestalteten, z.T. auch wild gelassenen Garten findet man Liegen für ein Sonnenbad, aber auch schattige und windgeschützte Plätze zum Lesen oder für ein Glas Wein ... Die Gastgeber, Linda und David, sind sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit, wir wurden mit einem Willkommens-Picknick-Korb empfangen und erhielten während unseres Aufenthalts viele gute Tipps für Unternehmungen. Die Lage von Wisteria Cottage war für uns perfekt, weil wir mit dem Auto innerhalb einer Stunde viele Ziele in der Umgebung, wie Concarneau, Quiberon etc. erreichen konnten.

Schöner ruhiger Ort im Landesinneren

Linda und David sind sehr herzliche und sehr aufmerksame Gastgeber. Sie geben zahlreiche Tipps und Empfehlungen. Wer Fahrrad fahren mag sollte unbedingt eine Radtour entlang des Flusses Blavet machen. Für Kinder gibt es viel Platz zum Fußball oder Federball spielen ohne dies Erwachsenen oder ander Gäste zu nerven. Wir können es wärmstens weiter empfehlen. Zum Meer mit gutem muss man mind 50 Min Fahrzeit rechnen

Family holiday

We had an excellent week at Wisteria Cottage. David was away doing a mammoth cycle trek when we arrived, Linda was a perfect host. Nothing was too much trouble. We loved the hot tub and had a bbq most nights in the fantastic garden. Spent a great day at Poul Foutan, well worth a visit and just popped back for lunch before returning to enjoy the afternoon demonstrations. On David’s return it was great to hear about his travel from Devon to Quistinic by bike. Would love to return as we love cycling and his knowledge of the local area was great. Thankyou both for such a welcoming cottage and holiday

Really enjoyed our stay in Wisteria Cottage. Well equipped and comfortable cottage - everything you need and up to date local information including maps. Garden gives secluded sitting out areas and a great wood burner hot tub. Local area is fantastic for road cycling. This part of Brittany is one big cycling park; quite lanes, interesting villages and towns, rural countryside and ... hills! Famous tdf climb at Mur de Bretagne can be included in a 60 mile loop. Local racing calendar is busy and we enjoyed seeing a local event. David and Linda were attentive hosts and couldn't do enough to help us get the most out of our stay.

Paradies auf Erden!

Diese Unterkunft kann unsere ganze Familie ohne Wenn und Aber heiss weiterempfehlen. Der Empfang von Linda und David war superherzlich und die Unterkunft ist mit viel Liebe und sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Man findet alles was man benötigt und vieles mehr. Der Garten rund um die Unterkunft steht zur freien Verfügung und ist eine Oase. Linda hat einen grossen Gemüsegarten (danke für die frischen Tomaten!), es gibt einen Hühnerhof, zahme Katzen, eine kleine Wiese zum Fussball und Badminton spielen und immer wieder versteckte Plätzchen zum ausspannen (Hollywoodschaukel). Als Highlight hat es einen HotPot (Tücher und Bademantel stehen zur Verfügung), in welchem es sich wunderbar baden lässt. Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig und abgelegen. Zum Einkaufen braucht es Zeit, denn die Läden sind nicht gerade ums Eck. Den Gästen stehen Mountainbikes (auch Kindergrössen) zur Verfügung, mit denen man die umliegenden Wälder (wunderschöne Kastanienwälder) auf kleinen Trampelpfaden erkunden kann. Schön ist auch der Fluss Blavet, welcher in rund 15 Minuten mit dem Velo erreicht werden kann. Sehenswürdigkeiten wie Josselin oder Carnac sind gut 1 h Autofahrt entfernt. Auch lohnt sich ein Besuch im Village d'autrefois Poul Fétan, gleich nebenan. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder - Linda und David sind ausserordentlich tolle Gastgeber.
