Esta casa del lago tiene 2 habitaciones, una con una cama queen size y la otra con una cama individual, y literas con dos camas individuales en la parte superior y completa en la parte inferior, ambas habitaciones tienen un televisor de pantalla plana y cable. 2 baños, uno con bañera y ducha y el otro con ducha de pie, cocina completa equipada con estufa, refrigerador y microondas. Amplio salón con TV de pantalla plana de 50 "con Direct TV. También hay un futón para dos personas en la sala de estar. A solo unos pasos de su propia área de playa privada con nueva arena suave. Cubierta con un patio para tomar su café y contemplar la vista panorámica y una hoguera para hacer s'mores y disfrutar del cielo lleno de estrellas por la noche. Hay mucho que hacer en la zona, visite uno de los varios campos de golf a pocos kilómetros, haga un viaje a la pequeña y linda ciudad de Gaylord o Mancelona, tenga un día de compras y comida en Traverse City (que está a solo 56 minutos) o una noche divertida en Turtle Creek Casino. Ven y disfruta todo el año. ¡Senderos para motos de nieve cerca o pesca en hielo!

The house had plenty of beds for our group which is a difficult feat. It was decorated nicely. The lake was sandy and warm enough to swim. We didn't leave the property for the first three days we stayed. It was comfortable and had everything we needed. The host was responsive and easy to reach. We had a great time and would recommend.

Our second time staying here! The house is beautiful, very spacious and had everything we needed. We loved the back porch and spent most of our time on it and in the lake. The owner was great to work with and check-in was very easy.

Wonderful vacation!

We loved our stay! The house was beautiful and was equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed the covered patio, fire pit and private beach. Can’t wait to return!

We had a wonderful stay. The home was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen very well stocked. Because water is shallow so far out, it was very warm. High water levels meant less sandy beach area but it was not a problem. The entire family was delighted with and spent hours on the floating pad, thank you.

Girls Trip

House accommodated 5 adults very comfortably. Location to the lake was amazing. Spent one day at Traverse City which was a short drive from the house. Neighborhood is very quiet, kind of too close to the neighbors but still a pleasant stay.

Hidden Gem on the Lake

Beautiful newly renovated house on the lake! Perfect for families to gather and enjoy the water. Very quiet and peaceful. Water was shallow enough for kids under age 7 to swim in the lake with their lifejackets on and play in the sand.

Spacious and comfortable

My family stayed at this property for a week and it exceeded our expectations. Since I had my little ones traveling with us, we really appreciated the shallow water, private location, and kind neighbors. The covered patio was a luxury. The home was clean upon arrival and there were no surprises - we packed our own sheets and towels for ease. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware. We had a fabulous time in this updated home and would love to stay again!

Peaceful

The picture showed more of a 'sandy' area then there was but the kids did ok with it. Cleanliness was not great but after I did a cleaning throughout it was a nice stay.

Please let me know what was not cleaned satisfactory, so it can be addressed. WE normally do have more of a beach but due to all the rain the water level is much higher than normal.

Great location but not clean

Listing says you can use their sheets for an extra cleaning fee, but that is not accurate. You have to bring your own sheets and they have 4 different mattress sizes. They told us to bring our own beach towels which is fine, but they did not provide any bath or hand towels and that was not mentioned. We spent over a hour between two people cleaning when we arrived. Every hand soap container in the house was nearly empty upon arrival. Bathrooms were not in sanitary condition, fridge empty but not clean, dog hair everywhere including inside the fridge. The location is great and neighbors are friendly. Just be prepared for the above if you rent this place.

I'm am very confused, I specifically messaged you about the sheet and towels and you said you were set. If you need to use the sheets and towel I have i need to know in advance if you expect to use my sheets and towels so that the beds are made upon arrival and towel are left out. I have to pay extra for them to be laundered and they are kept under lock an key so people just don't have access to my personal stuff. As for the house being clean either i pay to have it cleaned I live 3 hours away so if you have a problem upon arrival you should contact me so I can address the problem. I can assure the bathrooms are always cleaned in between guests

Great Experience

Newly renovated top to bottom, quiet location with fantastic views. Can't say enough positive things about the hosts. Very engaged and pride of ownership shines through. All kinds of lake "toys" to enjoy, gas bbq and fire pit were used a lot. Fully equipped kitchen. Washer & dryer. AC but not necessary with fans in all rooms. Outside deck has not been fully enclosed as yet. Very comfortable lounges and sofas as well as patio table and chairs. A couple minor issues with the newly added upstairs- towel racks in bathrooms or hanging poll for clothes not yet installed. The view from the master bedroom, on the second floor, is spectacular. The master bedroom is very large and includes a comfortable chair and ottoman. Kids dorm had four beds with attached bathroom (nice design touch by owners). Definitely, would recommend for family gatherings.

Place was beautiful. Nice quiet lake. The best part for us was the beachy waterfront. My 1 and 3 year old niece and nephew had a wonderful time swimming in the shallow sandy water. Very safe for little kids. We were able to scoop some extra sand from the water to build some sand castles on the beach area. The older kids had a great time exploring the lake with the provided paddle boats and kayaks. The owner was responsive and nice to deal with. Fires out front every night were lovely and we could even see the Milky Way on a clear night. The porch was great seating for family games and meals. Neighbors were friendly and helpful. All three bathrooms were nice and new. We were able to make several trips to local towns all within an hour away: Traverse City Schooner Manitou ice cream cruise was awesome/ tallshipsailing.com, Alden at Torch lake, Petoskey for shopping and food, and a Platte River tubing trip that let out into Lake Michigan. There were a couple of minor repair/ or work in progress items that didn't bother us much (slider doors were super sticky, a broken closet door that had no slider track, downstairs TV was not on a stand or mounted, so just tippy for adventurous toddlers). The TV did have an attached and working firestick which was nice. Whole family was happy and we highly recommend.

This home was a nice spot for our family vacation. We have five little ones all under the age of five. The lake was nice and shallow for the kids but there wasn't a beach area as pictured. We did receive a lot of rain so maybe the water levels were high this year. The home is on a very quiet street with very little traffic so that was nice for taking walks. The beds were comfortable, the home was mostly clean except the cleaning people forgot to wash out the refrigerator. Only disappointment was the amount of iron in the water. I'm not used to well water and there was so much sediment in the water that when we gave the kids a bath, the water came out orange. Also, when we washed a load of whites, the clothes came out orange. Maybe a note on the washer disclosing that this could happen would have been helpful. All in all, we enjoyed our time here.

Beautiful, quiet lakefront home with incredible views! The property is fully stocked (air fryer, blender, great kitchen gear) and features an awesome deck for grilling and relaxing. The water is clean, calm, and shallow enough for small kids to swim safely—they absolutely loved the Lily Pad! The hosts were super attentive. Don't miss Manistee Lake Pizzeria just a mile down the road, or lunch at Twin Birch. Major stores are about 18 minutes away in town, and day trips to Traverse City or Petoskey are just an hour out. Perfect vacation spot if you don’t mind being about 40-1 hr away from the bigger cities.

This as our second summer spent at Hope’s Haven and for the second year in a row, it did not disappoint. We love the roominess of the house, and access to a little bit of beach as well as the water. It’s perfect for families with young kids on up. The boys were even able to enjoy some fishing off the dock. We look forward to our next visit.

Property manager was total Jerk

Arrived August 9th lost power from storm on August 10th at 11:15pm stayed a night with no AC no fans no water still had another night to stay called property manager at 8am and said we would check back in the afternoon for power restoration otherwise we have to leave he agreed to refund one nights stay then when I told him we were leaving because of no power he said he would refund one night....... now still no refund and his tone and story changed! Definitely a selfish Jerk to say the least it's people like him that ruin it for everyone!

Nice Stay

Had a pleasant time on the lake. We were able to bring our boat with parking available for the trailer. Neighbors were friendly and helpful. Had a short drive for a day trip to traverse city. Also took the family kayaking close by. Caught plenty of bass on the lake and had a relaxing bonfire every night.

Great place with the exception of dog hair

Very nice place on nice property on a Great Lake. Neighbors were very nice. Only issue was the dog hair, the smell of dog and the fire pit was littered with garbage when we arrived. Did not expect to have to do a deep clean when we arrived, but once everything was clean, we had a very nice stay.

Short stay

The stay was ok. It wasn’t at all what we expected. The cottage wasn’t the cleanest. Dog hair everywhere, fridge and cabinets were dirty. It worked but my expectations were much higher. The lake was nice and peaceful, we enjoyed the time outdoors.

A nice older cottage

We enjoyed the location and the shallow private beach was so nice for our kids. It is an older cottage but there are some nice updates. We had plenty of cool air even without any air conditioning. We were blown away by how quiet the area was. Overall a nice stay off the beaten path.

Peaceful weekend

My wife and l really enjoyed our stay. We had plans to go into Travas City but, we were so comfortable and relax we stayed in and enjoy th scenery. The neighbors were very friendly and some came by to talk we us. I check to see if the property was available for Memorial Day weekend to return but, it was booked! I would recommend this property to anyone that was to get away from eeryday life.

I have been coming to this area since I was a teen. I had friends that were from up here and they introduced me to the area. I have always wanted a place on this lake and the opportunity finally came. It needed some work but I think you will find it homey and relaxing. We have been off the site for the last year due to the remodel..

It was a perfect spot on the lake . the lake is only steps from my front door. Great snowmobile and four wheeling for Winter fun.
