Another Enjoyable Stay

My wife and I have stayed at The Lazy Turtle before, and it has always been an enjoyable stay. The house is tucked away in a beautiful neighborhood in Old Mount Pleasant that offers safe atmosphere and beautiful scenery for evening walks. The house is comfortable and clean. Maggie is a joy to work with and helped us have a wonderful time in Mount Pleasant. I highly recommend this property and look forward to staying here again.

Wedding weekend.

Charleston SC did not disappoint. Lazy Turtle was a very nice place to stay. Access into the house was very easy. The house had everything you needed for cooking. There were some things listed on Website that were not there like paper towels, toilet paper and ice in freezer but when I got in contact Maggie she brought them right over. One other thing that wasn’t replenished was shampoo, which again on website said the house had. Instead of bothering Maggie again I just bought some at the store. Maggie was very easy to communicate with. Location was good, close to Shem Creek and Isle of Palm Beach. The only thing I would suggest is if you are going to advertise you have a room under the house that is usable then it should be cleaned up to use. The Tiki Bar, lounge chairs, ping pong table and area around it was very dirty. No way anything downstairs was usable while we were staying there. But overall I would recommend Lazy Turtle.

Granddaughter Visit

We love Charleston and were there to visit our granddaughters. The location of the house was good as it was near many of the attractions we were visiting. The check in and check out process was clear and easy to do. The upstairs part of the house was clean and nicely decorated.

Great Vacation 2021

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Lazy Turtle. Maggie was great to work with and she and her husband have done a wonderful job with this property. This was the most organized rental we have ever had - and we have been dealing with VRBO for over 10 years. Everything we needed was provided. The location of the property is wonderful. It is nestled into a quiet neighborhood that provides enjoyable evening walks with beautiful views of old homes, the marsh and the ocean. Mount Pleasant, Charleston and the beach are all with in short distance of this home. I highly recommend this rental to anyone.

Perfect vacation rental!

We could not have asked for a better experience than staying at this home with our family of 5. Easy check-in, super clean and plenty of space for everyone. Our teenagers especially loved the hangout space downstairs. Sullivan’s Island was only a five minute drive away and plenty of restaurants and stores close by as well. Maggie, the owner ,was always helpful and responded immediately to any questions. We would highly recommend this vacation rental and definitely will stay here again.

We spent 6 weeks at Maggie’s house and loved it. Maggie has thought of everything you could possibly need for your stay. The location is wonderful. It is close to Pitt Street Bridge, Shems Creek, Sullivans Island and Historic Charleston.

My husband and I are both Engineers. We moved to SC in 2015 and have been loving living in this area. We find that so many people love to come down here and enjoy the great weather, and all the fun activities Charleston has to offer.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

I picked this location because I absolutely loved the location, and the house. It was everything I had imagined when I moved to South Carolina, in terms of close proximity to the beach and fun restaurants near by. It truly became a vacation spot for a lot of my friends and family. After getting married, adding a couple large dogs in the picture, and preparing to expand our family in the near future, we decided to move a few miles away to a house with more space. In February 2019, we moved to our new house, and decided to set up "The Lazy Turtle" as we always called it, as a rental.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Great Location. So much fun stuff near by, within a few walking miles of Shem Creek (paddle boarding, kayaking, restaurants, dolphins!), sullivan's Island, Pitt Street Bridge, Alhambra Hall and some great restaurants and hang out areas. Benefits of the house are the downstairs hangout area, and Outdoor shower to wash off after a fun day at the beach.
