La Casa da Rampa en Galamares-Sintra es una fantástica villa de 400 m2, con 5 habitaciones y capacidad para 9 personas. Propiedad muy espaciosa con jardín exclusivo, piscina privada y vistas deslumbrantes.



Alrededor de la casa hay árboles frutales y un espacio de ocio con una vista fantástica al Castillo de los Moros, el Palacio de la Pena y la Sierra de Sintra. Una dependencia de la finca está habitada por un guarda permanente.



Esta fantástica finca está cerca de excelentes playas, excelentes restaurantes de pescado y marisco y a solo 5 km del místico Sintra con sus increíbles monumentos y lugares impresionantes.

The gardens were beautiful with lots of fruit trees and flowering plants. The trolley and local bus stopped at the road in front of this villa which was very convenient. Ability to make your own meals and do laundry was lovely. The villa itself was authentically Portuguese with an eclectic mix of art.

Lovely stay close to sights in Sintra

What a lovely property in the country yet close to the many sights of Sintra! It was also easy to/from Lisbon. We loved having fresh eggs to collect for breakfast, and enjoyed all of the traditional artwork and furniture that added to the charm of the house. Clean, comfortable, easy check in & out with prompt communication—would highly recommend!

Family vacation at Casa Da Rampa

Classic, secluded villa between Central Sintra and beach. Property manager very responsive to address minor operational questions. Property is older but well equipped, roomy and comfortable for our group of 9. Kids were delighted with resident goats, cat chickens and visiting peacocks! Would certainly recommend/return.

The house was perfect for what we needed! We were a large group in town for a wedding. There was plenty of space, the house was well stocked with things for us to use which was very handy including herbs from the garden, fresh chicken eggs, shampoo, dvds, books etc. everything we needed. The man who greeted us was wonderful and very helpful and enthusiastic which made our welcome to the property very special! Thanks for having us!

It Feels Very Secluded and Peaceful | Ben

We really loved this house! It is feels very secluded and peaceful. There are lots of fruit trees around that you can enjoy and a nice little pool. We loved exploring the grounds and walking around in the morning. The patio is nice and the home opens up to feel like you are outside. The area stays cool in the summer, which was great. We also really enjoyed the small town nearby, Colores, that was a 5 min drive away. It had a couple nice restaurants, bakery, and little grocery stores with fresh produce. We brought our baby and parents and it was a great place for all of us to hang out and relax. We would definitely stay again!

There was an odor of mildew throughout the house but especially in the lower level bedrooms. The stove didn’t work so we weren’t able to do any cooking- but the house is large enough for a family and was fine for us as we didn’t end up spending much time there. A Lovely Space to Wind Down in the Portuguese Countryside | Sophie

Sintra is close by and we loved exploring there, as well as the local beaches and Lisbon, with our family of five. The log fire is perfect on cooler evenings and the kitchen is well equipped, which was important for us as our two-year-old grandson was with us so we cooked most evenings. The terrace area is glorious with the sunshine filling it all day, which meant that we had a bbq on our last afternoon, even in mid-Jan. Giampiero is a thoughtful and helpful host who made our stay run smoothly. Everyone was happy with their rooms although there’s only five of us so we stayed in the upper floor. Just a note to say a huge thank you to Giampiero who is an exceptional host and who went out of his way to sort out any issues immediately, including with the heating engineers.

The most magical stay!

Truly one of the best stays we have experienced abroad. Casa da Rampa is stocked with beautiful art and personal touches, it’s easy to see that this house has been loved and well-cared for. It was plenty big for our two families (4 adults, 5 children). The kids loved swimming and feeding the chickens and exploring the gardens. The adults enjoyed eating dinner on the outdoor patio and lounging by the pool. It’s a very convenient stay for everything to see in Sintra. Also a short drive to the beautiful coastline and most western point of continental Europe. The kitchen was decently stocked and it was so helpful to have the washer/dryer. Sometimes if multiple people were showering the water wouldn’t stay hot, but taking turns worked great. There were thorough instructions in the house on how to use everything. The only bummer was that the historic tram wasn’t running while we were there. But we did see it come by one time as the workers were clearing the track for the season. Such a magical experience! Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home!

This House is Like an Oasis | Andrew

It reminded us (for those who may know it) of hill country in Sri Lanka. The views from the terrace and the small study area in the main bedroom are wonderful. So many trees and plants. The house itself has a small orchard when we visited it was too cold to use the swimming pool but in the Summer I can imagine it is perfect. For what the house loses in modernity, it makes up for in charm. Decorated with wonderful items of art from around the world there is even a telescope you can use to see the moon. The house has a few cats which roam the gardens, and one particularly friendly young cat called Tom. Who will befriend you if you let him. The house itself is large bathroom fittings are functional rather than luxurious but the beds are comfortable and the kitchen well equipped with a huge hob, a coffee machine and a large fridge and freezer etc. We lived here for a month and would come back. The host was very accomodating and the location is just 10 minutes drive from the sea, 5 minutes from Sintra, with the tram outside if you decide not to drive. All in all, a really interesting home, with character and warmth.

Disappointing

This review is based on not actually being able to stay at the property for more than a few minutes. GPS was unable to get us to the exact address so someone had to sort of guide us when we got close. When we arrived we could barely make it up the drive to the house because of the overgrown plants and trees and our van was scraped by the plants for much of the way up. When we voiced our concern about it, the host just told us it was the legal width for a driveway and couldn’t have cared less that our car might get scratched. Once we got in the house, the caretaker told us there were several cats around the property. Some domestic, some not. We were told that the cats didn’t go inside the house. As we were moving our bags in, one of them ran in the house, which suggested to us that they do go in the house. Unfortunately 3 of the people in our family are highly allergic to cats. As soon as they got into the house, they started having reactions. Also, the house smelled heavily of mildew, which didn’t help either. We only stayed for about 15 minutes in the front room while we decided what other options we had in the middle of the night and then left with all our things. When we contacted the host the next day, he was unwilling to work with us or give us any kind of refund, which is his right, based on the cancelation rules. But it was disappointing that we didn’t know about the cats and that it became our responsibility instead of the host’s.

A Casa da Rampa é o lugar ideal para passar uns belos dias de descanso com um grupo de amigos. A casa é bastante espaçosa, com tudo o que um hóspede necessita, muito acolhedora e limpa. O espaço circundante é calmo, verde e a vista é magnifica, o que tornou o nosso fim de semana simplesmente perfeito. A propriedade também é casa de 3 gatinnhos adoráveis e bastante amigáveis, assim como cabritas e galinhas. Os anfitriões foram bastante solicitos e a comunicação foi sempre muito flúida.
