Great stay

Spacious open floor plan and excellent outdoor area. A short walk to the lagoon and nature area was ideal. Plenty of cooking supplies.

Perfect San Diego Area Get Away

Immaculate one floor - inside outside living space. Everything one might need in a VRBO and more! We enjoyed the beautiful spacious Living/Kitchen/Dining area that was separate from bedroom space. Beautiful backyard area - would definitely book again - easy to communicate with host!

We had a lovely time and the house was great. There were 5 of us and we had plenty of room to spread out after a long, fun day at the beach. Access off the freeway is easy, and there is a great running path on the lagoon. Shopping center with Ralphs, bakery, restaurants, etc, less than a 5-minute drive away. There were beach chairs, beach towels, an umbrella, and a big cooler. The washer and dryer work well—comfortable beds and a large modern kitchen. We will be back on our annual trip! It has great amenities and is so comfortable for us. My husband and I are in our 60s and we had 3 young adults in their late 20s.

Excellent stay!

Perfect house for our month-long stay. Beautiful view! Nice big kitchen that was well stocked. Comfortable beds. Great neighborhood. Quiet area. Close to services and superb places to walk. The host, Dai Nee, was responsive and delightful. We would definitely stay at her rental home again and recommend it highly to others.

Beautiful & comfortable

Very nice accommodations with plenty of room to spread out. Excellent location. We found the kitchen well appointed for all our cooking needs. The host even left a Christmas tree for us to use during our holiday visit.

Quiet perfect location!

Nice neighborhood in a great location. Very quiet, roomy, and perfect for a family who needs room to spread out. We made S;mores in the fire pit, watched the sunset from the patio, and enjoyed the lightly scented sea air. Easy commute to the beach by car. Restaurants, grocery, church, shopping nearby. Loved our stay!

Great for our family

The house is in a nice suburban neighborhood in the hills and has an ocean view. The common area is huge and was great for our toddler roam around. We appreciated the attached garage and well appointed kitchen. The home had everything we needed, even tons of kids toys and books. The acoustics could be better - there’s not much to absorb sound between the very large common area and the bedrooms and it would be nice if the master bedroom had a tv (for the same reason), but I would absolutely rent this house again. The owner was very responsive.

Very nice home

Great property all the amenities of home. This place far exceeded our expectations and we will definitely stay here again should we be back to the San Diego area. The only very small issue we had was that we had trouble gaining entry to the front door as it was difficult to open but we used the garage door for our comings and goings so it wasn't too much of a bother.

You can cubby hole or go en masse depending on your mood. Grand room/Kitchen area accommodates the whole crowd; bed rooms provide quiet time. Fire pit a S'mores magnet. Great ocean views, too!

Beautiful home in the hills of Carlsbad

We just got back from a long weekend at DaiNee's home. This is a beautiful newly renovated home in a great neighborhood. Lots of upgraded finishes throughout. The rooms are large, spacious and the beds were comfortable. The master bedroom has a large walk in closet so we weren't tripping over suitcases. There is new hardwood throughout. The kitchen is very large and spacious so lots of us could be in there at the same time. It was very clean and even some toiletries were provided (shampoo, hand soap, etc). I appreciated that a new sponge was provided in the kitchen. The view from the back patio was so nice and we spent our evenings around the fire pit. Even the neighbors were nice and welcoming and we enjoyed playing with their dog. DaiNee was a perfect host and available if we needed her (which we didn't, everything was perfect upon our arrival). We would love to visit again!

Beautiful home - ocean view - quiet neighborhood.

We appreciated how close this house was to I-5 and to grocery, drug store and places to eat. The garage was also convenient.

Not the best place we have ever stayed.

The neighborhood was just ok. Very residential. NO view of the ocean. Master bedroom had ridiculous, super bright bathroom lights on sensors, that glared upon us each time someone used the restroom during the night. We were charged for a maintenance fee after our visit.. I'm guessing because I removed 3 of those GLARING bulbs after the 2nd night, and forgot to take them back out of the drawer and replace them. The back patio was full of bugs. The toaster was broken. The fridge had old food left in it. We couldn't figure out how to get any of the bedroom outlets, including lamps, to work.it took me a few days to even find the instructions for the house and Wifi. Of the several HomeAways we stayed in this summer, this was the worst. I don't recommend this house.

Our Stay at DaiNee's house

This home was an excellent place to spend our vacation in Carlsbad. We very much enjoyed the house and the area. It's conveniently located in the city for easy access to Legoland and the beach. The view from the patio of the ocean was excellent. We hope to stay here again next year as we enjoy the cool weather and being near the beach.

Beautiful home!

We stayed in this home for 3 nights for our legoland trip. Very beautiful home! It was only 5 mins away from legoland which made it more convenient for us. The owner Dainee was very nice and provided us with a lot of things inside the house. Best part of the house was the fire pit outside in the back. The backyard view was amazing. We could see the ocean from the backyard. Everyday when we came back from legoland we would relax out in the back with the fire pit on. Only bad part is that we could only be outside till 10pm other than that we enjoyed our visit here. Definitely will pick this place again when we come back to legoland.
