Weekend Pomard

We stayed for 3 nights in Pomard. The apartment was spacious, clean and nicely decorated! All amenities needed were there, it feels like coming to a home. Location wise this apartment is wonderful, being near Beaune and al grand cru’s in the area. We had a wonderful weekend!

Perfect Hideaway

Tucked away in the charming vineyards of Pommard, this place is a delightful oasis of tranquility. Immaculately clean and exceptionally comfortable, it's the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. Frederic, our host, was a rockstar in the communication department and his recommendations were spot on. Great apartment for a wonderful holiday

A very nice and well designed apartment. Very well furnished and also very well equipped. Nothing is missing. Baker around the corner. Nicely located and a great starting point for excursions in the area. A wonderful landlord and uncomplicated contact. We'd love to come back.

Pommard perfection

A wonderful accommodation tastefully furnished and well-equipped with everything one requires. Location was great just a few minutes from Beaune with a bakery and restaurants and, importantly Château Pommard, within a couple of minutes walk. Having a secure parking space on-site was both reassuring and convenient. Communications with the owner were easy and timely. One of the nicest rentals of many we have stayed in France.

Burgundy done right!

This apt is quite nicely appointed, very roomy for 2 people, the stairs weren't an issue for us at all, really only 1 full flight inside the apt and 1 full flight leading up to the front door of the apt. Fully equipped kitchen! Everything you need, great shower with plenty of hot water, comfy bed and pillows! We would definitely stay here again! Thanks to the host for this great home!

Pommard

Lovely spacious apartment in the village of Pommard. Lots of useful information provided about the wine tasting and other local attractions. The village is lovely and quiet, with lots of opportunities for walks or cycle rides through the vineyards. It’s also very close to Beaune too. Very good communication with the owner before arrival. Highly recommended!

We were very pleased with the property

The flat exceeded our expectations. There was a very good property manager who solved a minor problem immediately. The flat was ideally situated for visiting the vineyards, and with its view of the Ch. Pommard gardens, it was peaceful and sunny. It was a perfect place for us for a holiday, and we would recommend it highly. It only needs a teapot (for UK visitors) to be absolute perfection!

Somewhere Special

The apartment is unique, combining centuries of history with every modern day convenience. Tucked away in a quiet corner of a delightful and pretty village, deeply embedded in the Burgundy winemaking country. We stayed for a week just after harvest time, when the whole village is bathed in the sensuous smells of fermenting grape juice. Pommard is only 4km from Beaune which is also bathed in history, and has all of the restaurants and shops you could need. There are also many other sights in the surrounding countryside, which the owner shares with you in a detailed guide.

Wonderful property and location. Enjoyed touring the area and visiting historic sites and towns

Beautiful and well-appointed apartment. Unfortunately the weather was unusually hot for this time period in late August. Since there are no air conditioners in the bedrooms, we were forced to sleep in the downstairs area and bought an extra fan to survive the nights. At this price point for this rental property, we strongly suggest that the owner invest in two air conditioners for the upstairs bedrooms, and only then would we consider returning here in the future.

Great Space in a very nice location

Property is as advertised, very spacious bright and clean. Overall rating is 5 but a couple of minor improvements would be great. Location is very convenient and secure. This is a perfect place to cycle out of for numerous rides. Recommendations: 1) Espresso maker is badly needed as the coffee maker is not quality. You will not find a good coffee in Pommard and did not find one in Beaune. 2) As this area is a foodie's heaven a few more cooking utensils would be very much appreciated - salad spinner, cheese slicer, etc... 3) Common outdoor area could use a charcoal grill

Un appartement superbe aménagé avec goût jusqu’au plus petit détail… seul point négatif : pas très propre dans les coins (cuisine, toilettes), il serai également temps de remplacer certaines choses : chaîne hi-fi, les couettes (très sales!), et les poêles)

Perfekter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Umgebung

Sehr schönes geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Apartment in ruhiger Lage. Die Bilder versprechen nicht zu viel. Die Wegbeschreibung und der Check-In waren vom Vermieter perfekt vorbereitet. Vielen Dank dafür Frédéric! Es gibt ein Gite Book in dem nicht nur alles um die Ferienwohnung herum ausführlich erklärt wird, sondern auch sehr gute Vorschläge fürs Einkaufen, Essen gehen und Ausflüge (Weinproben natürlich nicht zu vergessen) beschrieben sind. Wanderkarten und Bücher über die Region gibt es auch. Die sehr schöne und am Morgen sonnendurchflutete Küche ist sehr gut eingerichtet und lädt zu einem ausgedehnten Frühstück ein. Einziger kleiner Verbesserungspunkt: die Pfannen sollten mal wieder ausgetauscht werden, da die Beschichtung schon sehr angegriffen ist. Es fehlt an nichts für einen schönen entspannten Aufenthalt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Excellent séjour!

Tout était très bien. Nous avons profité du gîte pendant 4 jours et nous serions crus à la maison. Il ne manquait rien. La literie était impeccable. Un seul bémol.... nous sommes arrivés le vendredi midi et avons dû faire la chasse aux guêpes qui ont dû se nicher dans une poutre du salon. Nous avons dû en ramasser et tuer une bonne cinquantaine. Nous avons eu le propriétaire qui nous a dit qu'une entreprise devait passer. Cela a un peu gâché le séjour malgré tout... Heureusement que nous n'avions pas d'enfants en bas âge car nous n'arions pas pu rester! J'espère que vous prendrez en compte notre souci et qu'un petit geste pourra être fait de votre part. Sinon nous reviendrons sans problème dans ce gîte.

Entspannte Tage im Burgund

Sehr geschmackvolle, großzügige und bestens ausgestattete Wohnung in hübschem Weinort. Sehr empfehlenswert der Bäcker im Ort. Sehr aufmerksamer Gastgeber. Idealer Standort für Ausflüge zu Kunst und Kultur. Wir haben die Woche sehr genossen und uns sehr wohl gefühlt, gerne wieder.

Nous avons séjourné à Pommard pendant 4 jours, séjour que nous avons adoré. L'appartement est très propre, la décoration est super. Tout y est pour la cuisine. Et il est situé dans une très belle région. L'hôte était disponible au besoin.

Wonderful apartment in wine country

This apartment in Pommard was a wonderful find and we had a great stay. The place is spacious, comfortable, and well appointed. It was very easy to feel "at home" here. There's a boulangerie that's little more than a block away and some excellent restaurants nearby. Beaune is a short drive away, although note that it's likely not close enough for you to want to walk there and back on a daily basis. A car is warranted if you plan to travel outside the village. The only real challenge of note has to do with the wifi - but it only applies if (a) you intend to work from the apartment, and (b) you need to make video calls. For video conferencing, we found the wifi speed to be inadequate. However, this was easily fixed by visiting the Orange store in Beaune and purchasing a mifi device (we bought an Airbox 4G+). Although it was a bit of added expense, it was well worth it to stay at this great apartment. It also completely addressed our internet challenge. Finally, we have to say that the property manager/owner was incredibly responsive and helpful, both prior to our arrival and during our stay. He kept in touch and made sure that we had what we needed for our time there to be pleasant. We would book here again without hesitation!

Superb!

There’s no need for me to repeat the fantastic reviews everyone else has written about this beautiful and clean accommodation. Instead, I would like to focus on the very friendly, informative and quick response I always received from the owner. This was very much appreciated! Then as soon as you arrive you immediately relax. It was clear how much thought had gone in to making the guests’ stay as comfortable as possible. In fact, we extended our stay to be longer than originally planned! You also know when you have had an incredible time because you cannot wait to come back again! It was superb. Thank you Frederic.

I'm Frederic Gaillot, the owner of Les Epenots in Pommard. My wife and I grew up in Paris, and we are now working in Reims. We both lived and worked abroad, and our kids were born in Florence, Italy. We enjoy outdoor activites, and Pommard is perfect for those who want to take a walk, cycle and still enjoy the proximity of a nice restaurant !

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

I own the apartment since 2005, when moving back from Japan to France. Pommard became home for few years and when leaving again for another adventure, I opened the apartment to guests. Most people enjoy the fact that the apartment shows history, nice furnitures and is located walking distance from restaurants, Château and winery. We have been renting out this apartment since 2008, and advertising with homeaway since 2010. In 2018, Rodney, the property manager, took his retirement, and we have handle it to Audrey.
