Superb stay!

It was our first catamaran experience and we were not disappointed. From the start to the end, everything was smooth and well organized. The catamaran was very well maintained and clean. Claudio and Charlotte were very welcoming hosts and attentive to details! Every day we were treated with very fresh and delicious meals throughout the day, including plenty of fresh seafood and fruits. The last day we had a great cooking experience of making fresh pasta from scratch! It was superb experience and pasta was very nice! Everyday we were exploring different unique islands, sometimes even a few in one day! My husband had also great snorkeling and saw plenty of different kind of fish. Overall, we liked this sailing experience exploring San Blas islands and would come back again!

Once in a lifetime!

Our stay on Claudio's catamaran was unlike any other vacation we have ever taken, complete with deserted islands, private snorkeling, and gourmet-level fresh food. We felt like royalty and had islands all to ourselves some days. Claudio and Mito were so friendly and took care of our every need. We will never forget our time on the boat!

Review

Beautiful Islands, but Covid had a negative affect on what we got to see. Food was amazing, and the boat was pretty. Would have been nice to have some more activities to do, and sleeping was very hot and muggy.

Best way to experience San Blas

We stayed with Claudio and his wife for a week. The boat was safe, well maintained and immaculately clean. We had a private room and bathroom with a shower. They cooked for us three times a day. We ate every variety of fresh seafood that was bought from the native Kuna people daily. They made us fresh bread and homemade pasta that was amazing. They also provided us with wine and beer on the boat. We visited atleast one new island every day and they provided us with a kayak to get to and from the boat. Claudio gave us a guided tour of one of the Kuna villages. They arranged a river tour for us that was guided by a native Kuna. We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend it.

This is the one. Book it.

Cruising the San Blas Islands with Claudio for four nights was an experience to cherish. If you're unsure whether this is the right boat or worrying about the cost, just put those concerns away and book. Cush is lovingly maintained (at great expense to Claudio). The meals are restaurant-quality. The itinerary is flexible. The sights and experiences are everything you hoped for and more. The sense of being disconnected from the human part of the world and reconnected with its natural beauty is soul-reviving. The opportunity to view the Guna people and their simple lives in this paradise is unparalleled in much of the world. What started out as a getaway for me and my husband turned into a very special vacation for us with our young-adult children. We'll never forget the snorkeling, the beach-combing, the sea kayaking, the nighttime shining of manta rays and barracudas, Claudio's pasta-making performance, relaxing in "the net," and awakening each morning to look out a pillow-level porthole at castaway islands and gently lapping, improbably blue waters. We aren't beachy people. The Caribbean was never on our list until we learned about these islands. Two of our group don't even like water much! But we're still talking about what a special time this was, and I'm sure we will be for a long, long time.

Sailing in Paradise

My wife & I stayed 3 nights in the San Blas islands sailing aboard the Cush celebrating our 20th anniversary. It was at the end of a 2 week vacation in Panama & couldn't have ended better. From the time of booking, Claudio's communication response was prompt & thorough; he coordinated a hassle free pick up & return from our lodging in Panama. I did a lot of research in the area before selecting this catamaran. The craftsmanship of the vessel, his extensive sailing experience & effortless hospitality exceeded my expectation. Claudio allowed ample time for us to enjoy each island that he sailed to via kayaking, snorkeling, swimming, etc. The food served family style that was prepared by Claudio & Marina was full of the most important ingredient as my wife says, "love". From the freshly caught varieties of lobster, octopus, kingfish & conk to the daily homemade bread & pasta made you feel as if you were staying with family. We enjoyed the many conversations over meals. Our only regret is not staying longer. When we visit San Blas again, without hesitation will be aboard Cush with Claudio & Marina. Ciao!
