The best defense against COVID-19 is fresh air, no neighbors, and a location just outside Amsterdam, nestled among the meadows of Wijdewormer, 3 km from Koog aan de Zaan, home to the world-famous Zaanse Schans. Our charming B&B is suitable for groups of up to 10 people. Enjoy beautiful walks or bike rides. Visit the historic fishing villages of Volendam and Marken, or the flower paradise “Keukenhof.” Amsterdam’s city center is a 15-minute drive away. If you’re not coming by car, you’ll want to rent one or take a taxi. There is no public transportation within 5 km.

Located 15 km from Amsterdam, in the polder countryside among farmhouses, lies our home with its charming, fully self-contained guesthouse for 1 to 10 people (even up to 12).
There is a terrace and a large garden surrounding the house, and the grassy area offers plenty of space to play soccer.
The guesthouse is attached to our house, which gives you all the privacy you need, while keeping us close by in case you need help with anything.
Ideal for families with children, 5 couples, or 10 friends, but also often used as a retreat for writers and artists.
The house has 4 bedrooms plus a large living/dining area.
The atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and relatively simple. We have central heating, free Wi-Fi, an MP3 player, and a TV.

Downstairs:
Fully equipped kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, freezer, microwave/grill/oven, and coffee maker.
Entrance with a large living/dining room, a 10-person dining table (+ children’s/high chairs), a toilet in the hallway, and at the end, a 2–4-person bedroom with a private shower.
Upstairs:
Two double bedrooms with king-size beds and one room with a bunk bed.
A bathroom with a tub, shower, and toilet.

A car would be most convenient, but if you come without one, you can take a taxi or Uber to our house
Note that without a car, you’ll have to be comfortable with the idea of cycling around like the Dutch do. It’s a beautiful area for biking, and we provide bicycles for you to get around during your stay—to explore the area, go to a restaurant, or head to the train station, etc.—since walking might be a bit too far or inconvenient along the road where we live.

Our house is a 5-minute drive from the world-famous Zaanse Schans open-air museum, with its historic houses and windmills to visit. Here you’ll experience and relive the history of the Netherlands.
Of course, the house is also a perfect base for visiting and exploring Amsterdam. The house is located near Amsterdam, about 15 kilometers away.

The house offers plenty of space, including a large garden where you can eat, enjoy a glass of wine, have a barbecue, soak up the sun, and let your kids play to their hearts’ content.

The house is decorated with beautiful old and new designer furniture and ornaments. The bedrooms are stylish, cozy, and full of color. You’ll feel right at home!
