No Fumar.. Ubicado a solo 50 metros del espectacular tramo de 5 millas de playa de arena, este apartamento vacacional de 1 dormitorio es cómodo y está bien equipado. Casi sin ser tocado por el paso del tiempo, Filey está protegido por la cresta baja de rocas llamada Filey Brigg, desde donde las arenas se extienden hacia el sur y terminan en los espectaculares acantilados de tiza de Bempton RSPB Bird Sanctuary. Hay muchas cosas que ver y hacer en y alrededor de Filey, con fácil acceso a la hermosa North Yorkshire Wolds con impresionantes vistas de la costa. El tren de vapor North York Moors realiza un viaje de 18 millas a través del glorioso Esk Valley que se detiene en Goathland, famoso tanto por las películas de Harry Potter como por la serie de televisión Heartbeat. El viaje de compras a la ciudad de Hull y a la histórica ciudad de York, con su iglesia mundialmente famosa, museos, galerías de arte, tiendas de curiosidades, posadas y salones de té, se encuentra a poco más de una hora en coche. Abundan los paseos por la costa y el campo, con todo, desde paseos enérgicos recorridos a pie hasta caminos tranquilos y ciclistas a través de pueblos tranquilos y ciudades bulliciosas. We have just spent a week here & we've absolutely loved it. We couldn't fault the apartment at all. It was clean, comfortable, warm & had everything we needed.It over looks the sea & the sound of the waves was so calming & the sun rises are beautiful. The fact that it's free parking outside the property is a great added bonus. (Subject to availablity)I would definitely recommend this apartment as it's also dog friendly.It's has a great location as it's not far from Bridlington & Scarborough

We stayed at the Nest 8 years ago and remembered it as a nice comfortable stay, which is why we decided to go back. However, this time we were quite disappointed. On the plus side - it was very clean and the shower was very good, the views of the bay were lovely but….. The comfortable sofa that was there 8 years ago and still shown in the advertised pictures has been replaced with a very uncomfortable futon type couch with some very flat cushions - either the photos need updating or something of equal standard should be in place! The kitchen is missing basic equipment - lots of bowls but only one baking tray, one large frying pan (a smaller option would be useful), I couldn’t even find a grater! There was a general lack of maintenance (broken blind cords, blown bulbs, TV in bedroom didn’t work, sash windows either hard to open or seemed to be locked). There was very limited storage space for two people for a week and the only hook was on the back of the bathroom door so nowhere to hang coats etc. I would suggest some updating or at the very least a maintenance check to rectify the issues. When you come back after a day out I’m sure most people would like somewhere comfortable to sit!

Wonderful location

Just where we wanted to stay, right on the seafront within the sound of the waves. Only a few steps across the road and we were on the promenade overlooking Filey Bay. From our 3rd floor flat we had a slightly restricted sea view but it was what we expected. Modern layout but could have done with a bit of tic and updating now. Compared to some properties we have stayed in there were some things lacking but I suppose a seaside flat has such a turnover of visitors that this maybe is not needed?

Great position. Would certainly visit again. Facilities and cleanliness really good. Slight improvements that could be made. Sofa (futon) not very comfortable, probably not important in summer months but in December with Covid restrictions in place it was! Shower difficult to operate and we ran out of loo roll! Loved The Landings - been staying here since it opened a few years ago. Stayed at this apartment on a couple of occasions - relax as soon all our bags have been taken up to the top floor! The apartment has everything needed for a home from home stay - perfect for a post lockdown break. The sea view - regardless of the weather is one of our favourites! The reason for scoring slightly lower in some sections is just a comment on some wear and tear on items which will need attention some time soon. There's nothing urgent - suggestions to maintain a high quality property e.g bedroom roller blind is broken and bathroom mirror light require new bulb (or fixing as not working? This was a lovely apartment, although it was on the 3rd floor with no lift, the view from the window was stunning, being right on the sea front. The only negatives I have was that the sofa (futon) wasn't very comfortable to sit on and there was no hoover so I couldn't leave the apartment as clean as I would have liked. Easy to find, parking not so great as on busy seafront. Building lovely and clean, only drawback was the final set of stairs, very steep but worth the climb as no one above you to make noise and the view of the seafront is stunning. Everything u need in appt. Sofa not very comfortable and tele kept losing signal. Shower very powerful which was great and when top knob turned to 1 oclock perfect temperature. We had a wonderful stay in The Nest and absolutely loved the location, the views in the mornings especially were stunning!! The price was brilliant, however some things really do need to be looked at. Firstly the shower was horrendous! Very powerful although you couldn’t stand in it without being freezing cold or boiling hot! For a place right opposite a beach it was inconvenient and made a simple every day task extremely unpleasant! We’d love to return next year however if the shower has not changed we are unlikely to. Also, if you’re thinking about watching a DVD in bed of an evening you can’t see the TV without practically sitting on the headboard! This wasn’t a massive issue for us however it is pointless having a TV you can’t use (especially when the sofa is not the comfiest being a sofa bed). On a positive note, we did still really enjoy our stay and with these few amendments we would definitely return! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely long weekend away, third time we have stayed. We love the apartment, so handy for dog walking either on the beach or along the front if the tide is in. Some very good eating out. San Marco Italian Testaurant, the Tapas Restaurant and newly tried this year Filey Curry House. Also fish and chip restaurant heading straight up through town on your left. You need to be quite fit to get to No.9 if you are in and out all day like us. The view is well worth the steps. We tend to park the car on arrival and then not use the car until we leave, parking can be difficult, we have been lucky enough to get almost outside the front on our last 2 visits. Just a couple of things could be updated, firstly the vaccum, not easy to leave the apartment looking clean and tidy when you have a long haired dog when the vaccum is not up to the job. Secondly on this visit I noticed the duvet could do with replacing for the sofa bed as it has seen better days, also the duvet cover, freshly laundered which is lovely but none of the poppers fastened so the duvet was escaping.
