Ubicada en una ubicación impresionante con magníficas vistas sobre Portland Bill y el faro, esta casa unifamiliar para 4 personas con patio cubierto, ofrece una excelente ubicación de vacaciones donde se puede ver pasar el tiempo con los barcos que pasan y la actividad de navegación alrededor de Portland Bill. Hay magníficas caminatas costeras, observación de aves y, por supuesto, actividades acuáticas en Portland o en el puerto de Weymouth, ya sea windsurf, yates, paseos en bote, pesca, natación o simplemente tomar el sol en la playa. Uno puede explorar Portland con su castillo, museos y la Academia de vela, o en la playa de Chesil y la costa del patrimonio mundial hasta Lyme Regis o hasta Lulworth Cove, o visitar Weymouth y Dorchester con sus muchas atracciones familiares. Boat House, Portland Bill

Comfortable, cosy and clean. A log burner would have been a bonus. We chose this accommodation largely due to the use of the hot tub. We were told just prior to our visit that it had stopped working. The owner did try to repair it himself but without success, however, we do believe if an engineer had been called we would have enjoyed the benefit of the hot tub. Unfortunately there was no offer of any discount.

A truly magical place to holiday. The place is always spotless and the hot tub is amazing. Private location and everyday is peaceful. The one thing that was a bit of a let down was the cooker. Only one of the jobs was working and every time we used the oven it set the smoke alarms off. It put us off cooking meals so had to eat out which made it more expensive when it was already very pricey. Other then that it was a fantastic holiday. A lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. Great coastal walks with amazing views just nearby. A pub and restaurant within short walking distance of the cottage, we ate meals at both establishments, tasty and plenty of choice. It was fantastic to be able to relax in the hot tub, overlooking the sea, after a busy day sightseeing. Highly recommend this cottage.

Beautiful cottage in a wonderful coastal location. By far the best view from a hot tub we've ever had! Just one word of warning - the spiral staircase is very narrow so if you have any mobility issues it wouldn't be suitable. We visited out of season so most things are closed on Portland and the surrounding areas. Do not let this put you off though we found some fantastic coastal walks in the area. Dorset is a fantastic place to visit; we will definitely be back soon!

We visited the old boathouse in mid-June and enjoyed every minute. Set in an environment which was both relaxing and beautiful. The cottage itself was well laid out and although far from big, was comfortable for the three of us (two adults and an 18 month old). The view from the front of Portland Bill is stunning and from the back it looks out at fields. There was plenty of room for the little one to run around in and for the adults the hot tub was very relaxing. The local pub seemed to have fairly inconsistent opening times, however it was technically out of season and there were alternative venues to eat and drink in close proximity, also the bus stop was only a 30 minute walk away. Very much recommended and we will probably return again.

What an amazing long weekend at the Boat House! Absolutely stunning location with stunning views, the surrounding areas are beautiful. The cottage itself is beautiful, small but very comfortable, a word of warning though I don’t feel that this cottage is suitable with ANY mobility issues.....a very small, tight spiral staircase and one side of the bed is inaccessible unless you crawl around the bed or across it!!! We would definitely book to stay again, we had some lovely walks and spent many an hour with a glass of something gazing at the view, even made use of the hot tub with a woolly hat on.....well it was December!!!!

We enjoyed our stay at the boat house.

We enjoyed our stay at the boat house. The property was a lovely detached property with splendid views over Portland Bill. Hot tub was once of the nicest hot tubs we have been in. We did struggle with the spiral staircase as it is extremely narrow and very difficult to take your luggage up the stairs. Also, the bed was troublesome to get in and out of due to the low beams. Portland is very pretty but other than walking there isn't a great deal to do, we went to Weymouth a few times, but other than that the next large town was around an additional 30 minutes drive.
