Este molino convertido ubicado en la orilla sur del río Ouse ofrece la rara oportunidad de permanecer en la ribera de York. Las amplias y cómodas áreas de estar disfrutan de maravillosas vistas sobre el río y hacen que "quedarse" sea un placer a medida que se desarrolla la imagen cambiante de la vida del río y la ciudad. Bellamente amueblado y coordinado, se encuentra a pocos minutos a pie del centro de esta vibrante y antigua ciudad. Jorvik - Woodsmill Quay en Queen's Staithe está en el corazón de York; fue construido originalmente en el siglo 19 y utilizado como un molino de madera. York ha sido un puerto comercial clave desde la época romana y el río Ouse se mantuvo durante la construcción de Naburn Locks en el siglo XVIII. Queen's Staithe desempeñó un papel destacado en el desarrollo comercial de York y aún hoy funciona como un muelle.

Excellent location, only a short walk to The Shambles, York Dungeons, York Minster and more. Great pubs and restaurants close by. Lovely views of the river from the spacious living room and kitchen. Large bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room with another large bathroom with bath and overhead shower. Well equipped kitchen. Loads of storage. Everything you could want really. We loved it and plan to book again. 100% recommended.

We have stayed at Woodsmill Quay before in the Autumn of 2017, so knew what to expect for this Christmas break. Location is ideal for exploring the historic city of York. The apartment itself is very well equipped and very attractive with a stunning view of the river and the opposite bank. Since we stayed here last time, the bed has got a bit weary ( we both suffered back aches every morning), so the mattress might need replacing. We understand these holiday rentals get wear and tear, but it would be a good idea for someone with a screwdriver to go around and tighten things up a bit (the shower door, for example, had become very loose on its top hinge). Having said that, we thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas break and would certainly recommend this apartment.

Jorvik is situated with unrivalled river views so that the ever changing scene is right before your eyes. The property has a dedicated parking space and from arrival to departure we did not move the car. We were greeted when we arrived, and the property has everything you would need for comfort with well equipped kitchen and ample living space all with the river views. The bedroom to the rear was cosy and comfortable. The city is right on your doorstep. All of the main attractions within easy walking distance. We would definitely return to this property should we decide to visit York again.

We were in York for the last week of February last year and met the Beast from the East this year we were greeted with 20 degrees temperatures, We lunched alfresco everyday for the following week sampling a different riverside eaterie each day enjoying full sun and 20 degrees for the full week.
