Little Apple Barn en Hamptons Farmhouse está ubicado en la bella zona rural entre los pueblos de Plaxtol y West Peckham, cerca de Sevenoaks y Tonbridge en Kent, el Jardín de Inglaterra. Entertained children and a relaxing stay

A lovely setting with lots of entertainment for kids (2 and 5). Clean, well maintained and welcoming cottage with all the facilities you need. Hosts are friendly and always there to help with any questions.

Peaceful getaway in glorious Kent countryside

Staying at Little Apple Barn is a delight. Nestled in a lovely site with willow trees, pond, stunning views it is a wonderful place to relax. It is so quiet that you are guaranteed a good nights sleep in the cosy bedroom with crisp linen and comfy mattress. There are some lovely places to visit if you can drag yourself away from the calm and tranquil site, Hever, Leeds and Ightam Mote as examples. There are some nice walks directly from the barn that can take you to lovely traditional pubs serving Sunday lunches and local ales. The hosts Katie and Andy are such wonderful warm people and it is a delight to see their children having so much fun. It is a pleasure and privilege to stay in such a beautiful place and we can thoroughly recommend even if you don't have children!

Stunning setting for rural break

Little Apple Barn is a beautifully decorated one bedroom barn. The decor is wonderful and is fully equipped if you want self catering. The kitchen is small but perfectly formed, however the kitchen table and surrounding area is very big and large enough for entertaining. The bedroom and shower is lovely, again lovely linen and white towels. The shower is nice and big and there is always hot water. However all of these things are wonderful but the crowning glory are the views. The doors open onto a lovely decking area and the views are stunning. Even in January it is beautiful. There are so many birds, as well as the chicken and ducks wandering around! It is a lovely place for a week away and perfect for children. It is also well located for Tonbridge castle, Leeds castle and never. There are some nice pubs within walking distance if you are ok walking through fields. Lovely holiday site any time of the year.

spacious living area, fully equipped kitchen, beautiful scenery and wildlife

An extremely comfortable stay, great value for money, with some very appreciated touches from the owners over the Christmas season - lovely fairy lights and a Christmas tree, as well as a welcome pack with treats and wine. The local rural area was a delight to drive through, with stops at some charming pubs, yet larger towns were easily accessible. Underfloor heating kept everything toasty. A well-placed reading lamp would have made the property perfect!

Comfortable and peaceful

I came down to Apple Barn for a short break,I was lucky as the Autumn weather was perfect. The barn was absolutely perfect,the views and peace was just right. From the patio outside the barn I could see the Indian Runner ducks and chickens roaming outside enjoying their freedom from their pen. The facilities for children in the nearby field are amazing,and whilst I was there watched some teenagers happily playing on the tennis court.The location is perfect for visiting National Trust ,and other places of interest.Apple Barn is beautifully furnished and comfortable all to a high spec. I will be going again .The owners are friendly and always there to help with any queries.

Apple Barn Cottage

The vase of beautiful yellow roses which greeted us on entering Apple Barn Cottage was symbolic of our stay. With beautiful views of the surrounding countryside, the cottage itself pleases the eye and provided a very comfortable home for us for three weeks, To cap it off Katie and Andrew are considerate and obliging hosts. Next time we visit Kent we will return to Apple Barn Cottage

A wonderful retreat

Little Apple Barn was a delight. It was very clean with lovely little touches like Roses on the table, milk & butter in the fridge, extra treats like a bottle of wine, biscuits, coffee, jam & chocolates. Katie & Andrew made us feel very welcome making sure that we were happy & had all we needed for a comfortable stay We will definitely recommend friends & family to stay.

Very lovely

Our holiday at Hamptons farmhouse was very lovely. It is easily one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. We stayed in Little Apple Barn for 1 week, and in Stable Cottage the week after that. Both cottages are very clean and beautifully furnished. Especially Little Apple Barn is spacious. The gardens, with lots of things to do for children of all ages are beautiful. We loved having animals right at our doorstep (and the occasional visit of a chicken inside the house), the mighty trees, lovely ponds and wonderful sunsets. The place is a perfect spot for day tips to the beach, castles, villages and London. Whitstable, Broadstairs, Dungeness, London, Leeds Castle are very nice. And there is much more to explore. Katie, Andy and their children are very friendly and make you feel really welcome. A true home away from home that we will visit again.

Utterly relaxing, perfect for families with kids

This was our second visit to Little Apple Barn after a fantastic stay in Mar 2015. The cottage is lovely, a genuinely perfect set up. Our 4 year old loved all the animals and facilities, including the treehouse, trampoline and zip line. We all loved walks in the woods to the local pubs and having fresh laid eggs for breakfast. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Thanks Andy, Katie and family for having us again!

Luxury Barn

Superb views amazing surroundings ,hosts very friendly and helpful especially as I am a solo traveller.I am bringing my family down in the summer and there will be plenty for my grandson.eg zip wire,trampoline,tennis court, tree houses, boat (with adult supervision) .They also have animals.

Immaculate accomodation with breathtaking view

My two daughters and I stayed in Little Apple Barn for a week during March. The decor is very stylish and the stunning skylights and high ceilings give the cottage a light airy feeling. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you need and the view from the lounge is breathtaking. There are also lots of fun activites for the children such as zip lining, trampoline and jungle gyms. LIttle Apple Barn makes for the perfect holiday experience. I would not hesitate in giving Little Apple Barn a five star rating. Andy and Kate Tanswell are friendly and helpful and have tastefully furnished the cottage.

Little Apple, Big Heart

We are coming to the end of a long stay at Little Apple Barn, it has been a lovely, quiet experience amongst the beautiful countryside of Kent. Great walks, quaint pubs for lunch and an abundance of activities for children of all ages. Andrew and Kate are very welcoming and extremely helpful and thoroughly pleasant people. We would not hesitate in recommending this hideaway to anyone.

Beautiful light filled cottage

We wanted a lovely cottage to spend Christmas near our family and friends - we live in France. Little Apple Barn was perfect. The cottage was warm, clean, cosy, very well equiped and delightful to stay in.

Small but very clean and well furnished cottage.

We actually are from Germany so to assist some German visitors a German summary is shown below. The property "Little Apple barn" is part of a Hampton's' farmhouses which consists of several separate cottages. We stayed one week in "Little Apple barn" and one week in "Stable Cottage". Both cottages were very clean and well equipment with everything you need to have for a two week holiday with two children. Little apple bar offers only one bedroom, but there are some foldaway beds. With some minor rearrangements we were able to spend a terrific week there. We actually haven't used the foldaway beds and used our inflatable mattress. "Stable Cottage" was slightly bigger, so we didn't have to do some rearrangements. The property Hampton's farmhouses is a paradise for children of all ages. There are lots of things you can do (e.g. a Gypsy caravan with a fireplace, a zip wire, several swings, two ponds where you can do some paddling). One great advantage of “Little Apple barn” is its terrific location within the property. It is located at the end of the property with a spectacular view of the Kentish countryside. Because if its great deck we were able to relax in the evenings and enjoy the sunset. The owners Katie and Andy are great hosts. We really appreciated being their guests. All information we have found on the Internet about the property is accurate and everything is well maintained. We decided to go there, because it was our first family trip to the UK and we wanted to explore Southeast England. So the location was good for exploring the countryside as well as London and two beaches. We also got some useful information from our hosts were to go and were to dine etc. We really recommend this place and hope to get back sometimes. German version: „Little Apple barn“ ist Bestandteil des Grundstückes Hampton's Farmhouses. Dieses besteht aus mehreren separaten Ferienwohnungen. Wir verbrachten unseren Urlaub eine Woche in „Little Appel barn“ und eine Woche in „Stable Cottage“. Beide Wohnungen waren sehr sauber und für einen Familienurlaub gut ausgerüstet. Unsere Gasgeber waren sehr hilfsbereit und alle Informationen, die wir im Netz fanden waren korrekt. Wir empfehlen diesen Ort weiter und hoffen dort bald wieder Urlaub machen zu dürfen,

The perfect place for a family holiday

In the heart of the Kent countryside, far away from the madding crowd, but close to London and close to the coast, with a wealth of activities for children of all ages. It sounds idyllic - and it is. Your children can run around in acres of space, play on zipwires, trampolines and gypsy caravans, or just check out the sheep, chickens or rabbits. They'll have fun, and they'll be safe while you relax. And there's so much to do nearby - if you can muster up the motivation to leave such a place. But what really makes this a special place is the welcome and attention from the owners, Andy and Katie. Maintenance and cleanliness in a beautiful cottage you can take for granted - and everything listed is there. But on arrival we were also greeted with everything you need for the next day's breakfast plus wine and chocolates, which certainly helped with getting a good first night's sleep. Andy and Katie have 5 children themselves, so you don't need to worry that your little monsters will cause too much bother. And amazingly, despite running this wonderful property and looking after their own family, they still have time for you, and are always friendly, helpful and available if you need them. They have also produced excellent brochures on local attractions, child friendly pubs in the neighbourhood, walks etc. We have stayed in many holiday cottages in different countries with our 3 children, and we've never before found a place like this. We all loved this holiday, and we'll be back next year...

Fantastic cottage in beautiful setting

We stayed at Little Apple Barn for a week with our 12 months old daughter. The cottage was light, spacious, clean, well equipped and had a stunning view. Hamptons Farm House is a fantastic place to stay for both children and adults. The location in Kent is ideal, lost of places of interest within a short distance. We wil definitely come back when our daughter is a bit older and can run around and enjoy all the facilities they have for children.

Little Apple Barn: eine Reise wert

Little Apple Barn ist schon alleine eine Reise wert: liebevoll eingerichtet, eingebettet in einer wunderschönen Landschaft, das Gelände von Hamptons Farmhouse ist für Kinder ein Traum und vor allem: diese Ruhe. Katie und Andy haben ein Paradies geschaffen, das sie gerne mit anderen teilen und dafür kann man ihnen nicht genug danken. Wir hatte eine tolle Woche mit Trips nach London (von Tonbridge aus nur ca. 40 Minuten mit dem Zug) und ruhigen Ausflügen in der Umgebung, aber einfach auf der Terrasse sitzen und Kaninchen, Schafe, Fasanen, etc. zuzuschauen macht schon Spaß. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

A beautiful holiday destination / fully equipped

The Little Apple Barn is such a beautiful, tastefully, fully equipped cottage. It's situated very quiet and peaceful with wonderful views. Enjoy the animals around the house: chickens, sheep, rabbits. The owners, Katie and Andy are nice persons and always available and very supportive. It's a pleasure to stay on their property.

Easy Family holiday in peaceful Kent Countryside

I remember what it was like packing the car full of everything possible that we could ever need for a holiday with small children - but our Applebarn holiday was just heavenly for ease - everything is provided, highchair, cot, washing machine and tumble dryer, extra freezer space for purées, play areas and tree houses for older children, bottle openers, crockery, ironing board, hairdryer, everything - just bring some clothes and wine! Applebarn itself was modern, fully kitted out, comfortable, clean and had a gorgeous country cottage feel, opening onto rural farmland, we were woken by the sounds of pheasants in the morning and watched the sunset with a glass of wine down the unspoilt views in the evening - heaven. Lovely owners, extremely helpful and welcoming, local area has weekly farmers markets at Shipbourne and great country pubs, cant recommend a stay at Applebarn highly enough.

Really gorgeous

Stylish property - very well equipped, underfloor heated so really cosy even with wet and cold outside. Great views as this property is situated in a very pretty part of Kent Rooms very nicely done out to a very good standard. very pleasantly surprised by a welcome pack including milk bread jams coffee flowers and wine at no extra cost. Hosts available to answer questions but discrete and very personable. Several decent pubs a pleasant walk away serving very nice food and beers. Definitely recommend this to friends and family and hope to be here again. Ideal for travel into London.

Tree house in the woods. Gypsy caravan with a camp fire. Trampoline and zip-wire. Sand pit, slides and swings (we have 13 at the last count). Animals to pet. Croquet lawn. BBQ. Table tennis. Stable Cottage, Little Apple Barn, Dairy Cottage and Willow Cottage at Hamptons Farmhouse are the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life but it is an easy journey to London and only 35 mins from Sevenoaks to Charring Cross by train. From there the London Eye, Theatre land, Covent Garden, Leicester Sq and West End and other tourist attractions are in easy striking distance.

You really don’t have to leave our site but Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks are 15 mins drive away, with Tonbridge closer still, and each have shopping, swimming pools and an abundance of restaurants.
