Had a great stay!

The location was perfect. The condo was clean and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. It was just a few short steps to the beach where we watched the sunset every night. Also saw lots of whale activity (bring binoculars). Even had a turtle take a long nap on our beach one day. We don’t want to leave.

Nice place

We had a great time on this side of the island and the condo was located in a good community and walking distance to a nice beach (inside of community). Complex was nice and condo was extremely close to some of our favorite beaches (Napili Beach, Kapalua Beach). This unit needs to have more supplies for the beach and they need to upgrade their 10 year old beach towels. Bed was comfortable

Overall, we had a wonderful stay. Lots of "1st world" problems, however everything was dealt with kindly and quickly, they even offered to do laundry for us. (Plumbing issues, washer didn't work, and biggest thing of all for us, was NO AC. In fairness, it didn't say that this room DID have AC, we just didn't notice that omission in the description). Kahana Sunset and their support staff were amazing, however I don't think I would stay in E2E again. I would absolutely stay at this resort again, but I'd make sure to read the room descriptions very carefully. The 2nd half of our trip was after the Lahaina fire and power outage. We could not have picked a better spot to be "stranded", the beach and hotel pool kept our little ones very happy until we were able to go home, and the staff was very kind and helpful, inspite of what they were dealing with.

Wonderful Place

We loved staying in E2E. The grounds are beautiful. The pool is so nice and well maintained. The condo is clean, spacious and comfortable. The location is very convenient and is close to beautiful beaches and not far from downtown Lahaina. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip!

Just ok

Our room was nicely decorated and very clean. The kitchen and bathroom were extremely tiny however and the kitchen was not well supplied. Very few cooking utensils, no bar-b-que utensils, tiny cutting board, no pitcher, few pots and pans. The common balcony was not useful since it was common with all units on that floor with very little to no privacy. The view from this unit is atrocious. We looked directly at the parking area and the back of the units across the way. Large construction equipment was parked directly in front of our unit lending to the overall rotten view. There are 18 stairs going up to the unit and stairs are only placed at the end of a long “corridor”. No elevator so it’s extremely difficult to get baggage into and out of the unit. The grounds and pool were beautiful and well kept but the beach erosion has left no usable beach. Overall my stay was pleasant but the distractions I’ve listed above would keep me from recommending this unit or ever returning.

If only...

I stayed with my girlfriend at the property for 1 week, early September 2022. We really are not extremely picky but there were a couple issues that really threw us off. Here are my pros and cons: PROS .Location/neighborhood is amazing .Property has pool and it's own tiny beach/bay .Parking available is clutch .Rental has mostly everything to stay comfortable: kitchen, microwave. freezer, towels, linen, tvs, etc. CONS .After 2 days the property bay had to go through major overhaul. We couldn't access it anymore and there was heavy machinery working starting at 7am, I believe we should've been made aware to decide if we were ok with it or not .For the majority of the week the shower was an issue. It was hot all the time and really hard to shower considering the weather, when we asked for service the 1st try made it worse and we had to shower at the pool showers .There is no A/C, which is ok, but the ceiling fans are not powerful enough to create se breeze .Now, the #1 issue we had to deal with, which was the major turndown for us were the cockroaches. Unfortunately the place was full of small cockroaches that didn't get shy to show while we were cooking, eating laying down, etc. Half-way through our stay they sent pest control but wasn't enough. On our last day my gf found one in her towel right after shower. If it wasn't for this last issue I could easily give 4 stars but we couldn't feel comfortable or relaxed having to be mindful of these cockroaches all the time. I hope this helps, Maui is absolutely amazing.

Amazing location!

We loved the Kahana Sunset Resort! Having a beautiful beach just steps away from our condo was so relaxing. We snorkeled in the Keoni Nu’i Bay and saw fish and a huge sea turtle! In the evenings, we picked up takeout from Joey’s Kitchen in Napili Plaza and enjoyed eating our dinner at one of the tables overlooking the ocean. The sunsets were breathtaking as the sun dropped behind Moloka’i. The unit E2E was perfect for us. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and the large refrigerator with ice maker was great. There was plenty of dishwasher and laundry soap, as well as coffee filters and salt & pepper. Without air conditioning, it was a bit hot as we checked in. We kept the kitchen and bathroom fans running with cool air blowing in during our stay. In the afternoon, we dropped down the outside blind and found that helped considerably. We look forward to returning soon!

Great stay!

We enjoyed our time at Kahana Sunset, it felt like home! The grounds keepers we grew to know and they would offer our kids fresh mangos and limes! The condo worked great for our family of 4, we had a one bedroom. I was a bit off guard the first night with no AC but once we figured out airflow with the windows it was better. Having a wall unit in the master bedroom would be a nice addition, it was pretty hot at night without the ceiling and floor fan on high. Otherwise, great stay!

The Kahana Sunset is as beautiful a place as the island of Maui itself. The grounds are well maintained and the units are clean with all the amenities one could need while on vacation. We have stayed here Twice and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else!

This condo is very nice and modern. It does not have a view however and does not look out to a garden. It looks at piled up sandbags and the building in front of it. The bedroom window sill was very dirty and needed wiped out. All things considered, it is a nice condo if you don't care about a view. We didn't spend much time in it so it worked great for us. The bedding for the hide a bed did not fit very well. The blanket was way too small for the bed. The beach is lovely and plenty of lounge chairs on the grassy area.

Loved our stay.

We reserved our condo online and they sent us the code for the door. No waiting to check-in, we just found our condo and walked in. Everything was clean and ready for us.

Good place to stay in northwest Maui if air conditioning is not required.

The property is nice and we enjoyed our stay in the condo (a family of 2 adults and 2 teens) despite a couple of issues mentioned below. The condo is located about 15 minutes by car north of Lahaina and it is great for a family (4 persons max) looking a nice and quiet place to stay with direct beach access and a heated pool and of course, easy parking. The pictures are quite accurate. There were a couple of unexpected issues with this condo that made our stay a bit less pleasant: the lack of air conditioning and a non-functional ceiling fan in the bedroom; that's why it earns only 3 stars in a hot and humid place like Hawaii. Apparently, the condo only comes with a couple of external fan blower units (one of them is shown in the kitchen picture) so it can get a bit warm inside, especially if there is cooking done in the kitchen; to make matters worse, the ceiling fan in the bedroom was not working. The lack of AC is something that I think the owners should have prominently mentioned in the condo description as the pictures do not really explain the nature of the fan blower units. This condo is fine for those who don't mind the heat and humidity and can work with fans.

Beautiful and comfortable confo

We were so pleased at how clean the condo was and how beautiful the grounds were! Enjoyed every moment of our week and slept like angels in that huge bed! It was conveniently located for all our destinations. If I have one complaint it would be nice to have some seasonings in the cupboard because we cook a lot when staying in a VRBO, but that’s certainly not their responsibility but I wish I would’ve brought my own. Check in was easy and never had any problems with it at the condo. Pool is amazing and saw a turtle swim to shore one evening and the whale watching is great here!

Great location

Easy to check in and out, close to lahaina, lots of people seem to return to the Kahana sunset, grounds are very nice. E2e did not have air conditioning as advertised.

E2e is a beautiful unit.

E2e is a beautiful unit. I loved Kahana Sunset so much I extended my stay and extra week. Leanna is a gem to work with thank you so much for a beautiful stay. Great pool, grounds are beautiful, my daughter was astounded to see a huge sea turtle on the beach during the evening along with some crabs, huge snails and small tiny lizards amazed her.
