Very roomy place close to the beach

We enjoy our stay , place was big enough for all of us 3 couples and kids . Minutes walk to Hyams Beach , place was clean and tidy . Will come back again .

Amazing home! Lovely host

The location is absolutely perfect. Walking distance to the beach with everything provided (beach umbrellas). Modern home with lovely layout. Would highly recommend. My husband and I had an amazing time.

Beautifully Designed House

The owners of this home have great taste and done an incredible job at supplying everything you could need - down to a quality umbrella, beach chairs, Cool Cabana, and other small inclusions like washing machine soap, sugar, etc. Everything is good quality and you can can see the ocean from the balcony.It's a few minutes walk to Hyams Beach.This area is very quiet, and you need to drive around 15 minutes to get to restaurants. Would definitely recommend :)

Absolutely Amazing Place

I normally don’t bother writing reviews but this one definitely deserves a shot out. I have stayed in many luxury houses before but this one was special. The owner really thought everything through. The amount of useful kitchen tools and the great appliances were second to none! The place is so close to the beach, you can hear the waves when falling asleep. I highly recommend visiting this place.

Perfection

Absolutely stunning property with all the luxuries and details to make it an amazing stay. The home is a very convenient walk to beautiful Hyams beach. We loved being able to sit on the beach with the supplied beach umbrellas and chairs. The home was very luxurious whilst also being very comfortable. The host was so organised and generous with what was supplied to make our stay enjoyable with all the details thought of. Thank you

Gorgeous home and location

This place was so luxurious in all its detail inlcuding all the thoughful ammenities and supplies. All the things I have at home were right there. We felt at home straight away. The location is to die for just minuites from the beach. The kids loved the beach and the fact they could play and watch TV on their own without us hovering becuase there were so many areas to enjoy. The wifi was great and the access to all the streaming services meant we had a great time in the evenings winding down with a great movie. The BBQ area was excellent and we loved using it. Thank you for a memorable and thorughly enjoyable stay. The little things and detail in this house really made our holiday extra special.

From the moment we booked the process was seamless and yet so personal. Jan our host was always prompt with her responses and so personable. The property itself is far great than a 5 star! It has a real wow factor. Jan has left nothing to question, her kitchen is better fitted out than mine at home. I can assure you, you want for nothing. The facilities are impeccable with four beautiful bathrooms and all bedrooms have king beds. Whether you are sitting on the balcony listening to the waves roll in or inside at the fabulous dining table playing charades with the family, this is definitely your home away from home. I do believe our family and I have found our “place”. Can’t wait to get back there!!!

Dissapointing

This property is only half renovated and it seems some of the work that's been done is substandard. Lounge and deck area nice, but We were kept awake by various parts of the house and deck flapping in the wind, blinds were broken, lights not working, doors falling off rollers and couldn't hang a towel in the ensuite without the towel rack falling off. We informed the owner who offered us a free weekend to make up for our poor experience which was a nice thought, although a couple of weeks later she's yet to let us know when that would actually be....yet to be seen.

Great property and at a great location

This property is at an ideal location right next to the beach and has everything you'd ever need for a comfortable stay. The view of the sky at night next to the fire pit is unbelievable. Beds are comfortable, A/C system works perfectly and the house is fully loaded with everything you'd need for a comfortable stay. Everything is brand new and amenities are high end and good quality. The host and property manager were responsive and nice people. Only comment I would make, is that more towels are needed at the property for the number of rooms that it has and that the Induction grill top needs to have a manual with it and induction compatible pots and pans supplied. We had abit of trouble getting our meals cooked on the grill top but made the most out of it and got the BBQ going. I am sure they will sort this out as the property was brand new and these were just teething issues. If you have a low profile car, I would recommend leaving it at home and driving in with the SUV as the driveway ramp is abit too steep for low profile sports cars. I will definitely try and go back and stay abit longer there next time. Felt like home!

Great location!

This property is in an ideal location, a very short walk to the beautiful Hyams Beach. Although it is an older style beach house, we were lucky to find somewhere that could sleep 14 people. Downstairs was a great use of space, but I did find it damp and musty smelling.

VERY AVERAGE PROPERTY

WE DID ENJOY THE PROPERTY SOMEWHAT DURING THE DAY BUT THERE IS NO FLY SCREENS SO MOZZIES WERE A PROBLEM AT NIGHT. THERE WERE 2 PORTABLE FANS THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE HOUSE. AIR CONDITIONING TO HELP AIR FLOW AT NIGHT WOULD BE AN OPTION IF NO FLY SCREENS ARE TO BE INSTALLED. LOCKS ON WINDOWS NOT WORKING BUT THE STREET SEEMED SAFE. WILL CATER FOR BIG GROUPS BUT THE LOWER LEVEL WOULD BE DIFFICULT AGAIN DUE TO NO AIRFLOW. GOOD PARKING ONSITE FOR CARS AND BOAT WITH CLEANING AMENITIES OUTSIDE THE HOUSE. CLOSE TO CAFE AND BEACH WHICH IS A POSITIVE.REAR DECK ON UPPER SECOND FLOOR GOOD FOR VIEWS AND ENTERTAINMENT.

Great sized house very close to Hyams Beach

Fantastic sized house that could easily accomodate a couple of families with small kids. There is plenty of space in this house if you want to escape from one another, a couple of lounge areas, reading areas, nice big wrap around balcony, big kitchen with plenty of equipment, but some areas need a bit of attention. Towel rail continually kept falling off in one bathroom, door handles very loose to the point of falling off. Sink blockage in downstairs bathroom. Nowhere to hang your clothes in the downstairs bedroom. Also Satellite/Cable TV doesn't work & no ariel on the downstairs TV so only could watch dvd's. We had to buy a bath mat for my parents bath as they are both quite elderly & getting into the bath/shower in the main bedroom ensuite proved to be a bit of a hazard for them. The bath is super slippery & my father ended up slipping over getting into the shower putting his back out. We left it there for future guests so they don't have the same issue. Apart from these little niggles we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Hyams Beach, such a beautiful part of Australia.

It is the perfect getaway

The house is the perfect distance from the beach with excellent sea views. The beds are all very comfortable and the large living areas are fabulous for an extended family reunion. We really enjoyed our stay.

Poor management

Wasn't impressed with the state of the house upon entry. Doors were off hinges, towel rack broken, no gas for the BBQ, shower tap broken, lack of supplies, doors incapable of opening at times. Also an ant problem that was rectified by the tenants at time. Person of contact was difficult to contact, very much unapproachable, rude and wasn't reasonable at all. Would not recommend this house at Hyams beach

Great 'Big' House, Fabuloues view

This was our second stay and we are already looking forward to our next! The house is always beautifully presented and clean and tidy. The accommodation is absolutely perfect for 1 - 2 families or groups with a great kids retreat on the ground level. There are only two of us however we just can't go past sitting on the back deck and enjoying the beautiful view of the Bay, or the sound of the waves at night, accompanied by the flash of distant light from Point Perpendicular Lighthouse. We have been visiting Hyams now for over 25 years and this House is clearly in our top 5!

Fantastic escape location and house

Thank you Jan. We arrived at your home advised you were having a little work done and were very presently surprised. The kitchen had been renovated and was nothing like what we were expecting.mclean new and very operational with a dishwasher. We continued through the house to a lounge dinning full of new very comfortable furniture, bathrooms that were very clean with new fittings and vanities and beds that looked so inviting and indeed were when our heads hit the pillows that night as we drifted to sleep very comfortably listening to the rumble of the waves. It was lovely to be away and have a choice of 2 king size beds. As you said it was about a 100m walk to the beach but we had a lovely view of it from the verandah were we ate our breakbeat and lunch each day in the sun. You were a wonderful host and our expectations were exceeded. Thank you.

We were very Happy Campers

We arrived to a clean home with comfortable new furniture. Jan had advised that there was some painting that she was in the middle and apologised, I don't really think this was necessary. The kitchen had clearly just had an over hall with new appliances and kitchen goods. The bathrooms the same. We were very comfortable. Breakfast on Verandah in the sun was wonderful. A great Family escape location at home that more than catered for the number of people held.

Run down property

The house was big enough to accommodate the 8 of us comfortably. The location was good although it is one street back from the beach. The lounge room and dining room are fitted out with nice furniture and decor. The crockery, pots, cutlery etc were good quality and aesthetically pleasing. However the kitchen and all three bathrooms were extremely old and run down. Broken door from the main bedroom to ensure, no door and broken tap on another bathroom's cabinet and the third downstairs bathroom looked like it had been put together with old tiles lying around the house and fittings from the tip! There was only one roll of toilet paper in 2 bathrooms and 2 in the other. Not good with 8 women over one weekend! No dishwasher either. For the $800 we paid for the weekend it is definitely not value for money. Having said that we still had a great time as the area is so beautiful and we were even visited by a local kangaroo chilling out in the backyard. I don't recommend this property unless they do something to spruce it up some more.

Huge house but poor management

I agree with previous reviewers that the house is great is some parts (lounge room, kitchen, great balcony and master bedroom), and less so in other parts (downstairs, some pokey bedrooms). The house has plenty of room and of course is in a great location at Hyams. However, I also agree with comments that management is very poor. I received prompt responses to my initial enquiries regarding availability and price, but then had to send repeated emails and call to confirm that payments of significant amounts of money had been received. I sent four emails over a two week period to get details about accessing the property and had to resort to multiple phone calls a few days before arriving. I only finally received this information the day before my booking together with a long list of rules and late check-in and early check-out times. Given other hassle free Hyams bookings at Stayz, I probably would not book this property again.

Perfect view of the bay from yard, deck and bed rooms and lounge/dining room. Instant access to the best beach in the world. Dolfins a reg sight. Best brekky only 3 doors up. The perfect place to unwind and relax

Very comfortable

Well appointed with all we needed and with 5 bathrooms in all. Very close to beach. Driveway slope made it difficult to avoid scraping the bottom of cars but would not be a problem for a 4wd. TV and accessories could do with updating.

Nice view and master bedroom

The main bedroom and lounge room are beautiful, with ocean views and modern furniture. The other rooms are all a bit sub-standard imo. There is one tiny room with a bunk bed and another bunk at the top of the stairs in a makeshift sort of room -- fine for kids (unless you're worried they'll fall down the stairs). One other double bedroom has a window overlooking the loungeroom. And the downstairs area smelt musty but was ok after we aired it for five days. The kitchen is fine, but no dishwasher. A great location though. Hyams is stunning. But, personally, I wouldn't book this property again.

excellent property, poor management

We stayed at 6 booderee avenue. The property was great ! Clean, had everything we need, everything working as it should and best of all amazing views. However management is poor. Completely ignored us with our emails and questions when we were there yet very fast replies before we paid. Management did not seem to care and because of this I have rated it one star. Otherwise amazing property!

Have just finished building these 2 luxury homes at Hyams Beach and have tried to think of every possible thing any body would want for that perfect holiday so let me know if I have forgotten something...... : )

First of all Hyams Beach is simply the most idyllic location ( voted # 3 world wide for the clearest water ) with so many activities on offer within the region. Think whitest sand , magnificent views , watching the dolphins , whale watching when they are migrating , surfing and an abundance of wildlife. On any normal dusk you will find kangaroos in the small village. Then top this all off by staying in one of two BRAND new luxury homes. Every little detail including super comfy hotel quality King beds , 100% cotton crisp bedding ( none of that scratchy laundry service sheets ) , Large smart TV's ( yes multiple ), Fabulous views over Jervis Bay and just minutes to 3 of the most magnificent beaches on the South Coast. 48 at Hyams - when only the best will do.
