La cabaña de Blackford se encuentra al sur de Hodgen, Oklahoma, en el Bosque Nacional Ouachita en 105 acres en el total de Land Connecting al Servicio Forestal de los EE. UU. En los límites norte y sur de la propiedad. Ofrecemos una acogedora cabaña con capacidad de hasta 8 personas en camas perfectas para todo tipo de escapadas de vacaciones. También cuenta con 5 ganchos para hamaca del porche trasero. De luna de miel a grupos, podemos acomodar a aquellos que buscan pasar tiempo con sus seres queridos. Nuestra cabaña rústica es cualquier cosa menos! Tiene todas las comodidades del hogar. Hacemos sus vacaciones en el esfuerzo de los bosques. Todo lo que necesita es traer su comida y su ropa! Es fácil.

Fabulous week away from it all

Our family had the most relaxing and enjoyable time possible. The cabin is remote. Do not book this location if you don’t want to disconnect. The location is gorgeous next to a beautiful stretch of the river. The inside is spacious and comfortable. We had 5 in our family and had more than enough space. There was plenty of opportunity to rest and relax - read a book, soak in the hot tub, sit on the porch with a cup of coffee, hike the property, or take a lazy nap. If you go into town, try the Southern Belle for lunch. Hike around the lake at Cedar Lake. We are already planning our return visit! Thank you for the fantastic trip!

Beautiful cabin and property!! Being “unplugged” is more fun than you think! We fished, swam, kayaked, hiked, grilled, made s’mores, and played card games on the deck while watching the river. It was a great weekend!!

Nice Secluded Cabin

Seclusion at its best

We had a great stay. Great cabin, very secluded and quiet. The only problems we had were finding cabin initially as the gps does not take you there as stated in listing( I would suggest signs placed on wise rd and by tree in middle of road. Also there was soloed food left in freezer for some reason which was a turn off for me. But overall stay was good.

Loved it here!

We fell in love with the property, the location and the cabin right away. There were fun games there for the whole family to play. And the river is slow flowing so it was less stress and more play. Check in/out was super easy. We definitely hope to make another trip here next summer!

This was an amazing get away. We had so much fun and it was great to see everyone having fun without their phones. The fireflies at night were unbelievable and kayaking on the river was peaceful. Can't wait to go back!

We are in love with this place!

Me, my husband, mother in law, and 2 dogs had a beautiful mini vacation here. Our dogs were able to run and play. Our 1.5 year old Lab swam for the first time. He couldn't get enough. We swam, rafted the small rapids. Relaxed and enjoyed nature. We want to come back every year!

Great river retreat

I spend all weekend relaxing and enjoying myself at the river, fishing most of the time. We had a great time, the location is perfect, I would love to visit again soon.

Nice Location

Perfect get away. Weather could have been better but the cabin was terrific, the location was terrific. Nice adventure. Kids survived with no internet with little withdraw. Was fun to relax at the fire pit and hear the river noise nearby. Wood-stove kept the cabin toasty and was well received by all.

Awesome place

We enjoyed our stay at this great place. It was nice to get away and unplug for a few days. We fished in the river, hiked part of the Boardstand Trail, drove some of the Talimena Scenic drive and checked out Freeman Hole. The stars at night were as bright as I have seen. The owners father was as nice as could be. Since there is no cell service for AT&T it would be really nice to have a thermometer on the back porch. Great place to relax!

Beautiful Cabin

We took our boys to this cabin to celebrate Feast of Tabernacles and spend time together. The weather was perfect! Cabin was awesome! The views are stunning! Our dog was in heaven. We went kayaking, hiking and a lot of s’mores. The hot tub was really nice too. I could stay on that porch forever! We got alot of nice family photos with those views! So bring a camera! We plan on going back next year.

The only thing that I wish was communicated better would have been the water level of the river behind the property. The river is more like a small pond behind the property. Other than that it was great. The house was amazing! Perfect for out family of 6. Great views.

This Cabin was moved from Poteau in the summer of 2013 and was finished remodeling in 2014. It was bought from a 92 old lady that remembers as a young teenager climbing the ladder when it was a hay barn. She told us it was over 100 years old and was glad to see it getting saved. Moving it to Black Fork from Poteau was an amazing task with cutting many trees back, building new roads and the characters that moved it could have been on a TV show for their amazing humor and work ethic! The Cabin now sits where another cabin previously sat that was probably close to 1880s. It fell in a snow storm in 2010 and the only remains are some barn wood inside the current cabin and the smoke house (or my grandma thinks chicken coop) that is still currently next to the cabin. There is another cabin on the property only the exploring guests find. It is probably close to 1880s and crazy to imagine that a family of 10 or 15 probably lived in that place.
