Family getaway

The house is well layed out for space and entertaining. Nice short walk to near private beach. Quiet layed back village. Not suitable for noisy parties (as stated in booking) as there are residents that also love the quiet. Absolutely love this house and area.

Everything at this property is fantastic, clean on arrival. House is spacious and accommodates to all ages. The location is great, quiet and close to all activities on the island. Would highly recommend.

A simply lovely place and location

I've been visiting this area and property for many, many years now and it never ceases to give me a feeling of relaxation and privelige to have such close access to the beach while being surrounded by tranquility. Sitting on the deck of an evening watching mobs of Kangaroos grazing in the back yards and throughout the local streets, to catching fish or having a beer on the beach just a minute's walk through the dunes that run right up to the property, it's hard to imagine too many other places that engender a better feeling of being at one with nature. It's just very hard to leave and go back home.

Beautiful place to stay with larger families and not too far from the flyer to pick extras up.

Everything you could ask for

Great property! Instant relaxation. Comfortable, clean, the kids retreat upstairs is perfect. Plenty of space for 3 small families and a nice short walk to the beach front. Plenty of wildlife to watch from the deck, many curious Curlews to keep the kids entertained. Good size grass space for the kids to play too. A great long weekend!

Straddie getaway.

Really nice stay at an awesome place on the island. Loved everything about the house and the atmosphere that you provided. Would recommend it to anyone who would like to take in the tranquil surroundings and enjoy the beautiful offering of the island that is Stradbroke island..

Perfect

A perfect property in a beautiful part of Straddie. The track to the beach is lovely and just a short walk. We loved seeing the Kangaroos and Curlews around the area. We can't wait to stay again.

Fabulous home; spacious, well appointed and quiet.

We were a group of three families who went for the long weekend. The home is perfect for groups. So spacious and plenty of room for everyone to be together or have quieter time both inside and outside. Upstairs was ideal for kids with bunkbeds and a lounge/tv area. Lovely backyard that meanders to the beach. Ian is a great host and very accommodating. Such a great find. We are definitely going back!

Perfect Getaway!

From the moment we walked inside, we felt immediately at home in the beautiful Flinders Breeze. The house was very spacious and there was plenty of room for adults and children alike. Great quiet location, and listening to the waves from the beach at night was the perfect touch.

Great Value, Neat and Tidy

Booking this holiday was a breeze, Ian communicated clearly the instructions for the booking. The house was neat and tidy, the blankets and pillows provided we clean and stain free. We have already discussed the idea of coming back next year, if not sooner. The location is great, nice and quiet and great for families or small groups. My only suggestion would be that the house needs a pest spray as a considerable amount of ants and the fly screen on one of the doors has a cut so access for flies and mosquitoes. Also a very self contained house, so you need to bring everything from dishwashing liquid, bin liners and bug spray etc.

Lovely place. Perfect for the people we had staying there. Well appointed. Beautiful setting.

We had a very comfortable stay. Large fridge for a big family. Plenty of cupboard space. Grateful for dishwasher. Microwave a little dodgy (unpredictable). Lots of fans which was great but needed one in lounge area. Beds were comfortable. Lots of large windows for fresh air. House is a little noisy acoustically (no insulation?) Beautiful garden. Enjoyed visiting goannas and curlews.

Spacious and clean

Absolutely loved our stay at Flinders Breeze, plenty of room, beautiful backyard with the large deck. To our surprise the property has been renovated and looked even better then on the photoes. New kitchen with a dishwasher! The location is really nice too, quiet street, close to the beach (unpatrolled, but great for walking and fishing). Thank you Ian!

Holiday utopia

We had 2 families totaling 10 people and everyone had space and more. Great location. Walk through short bush ttack to beach. 4WD Tracks not far away to get you on the beach. Suits families. Clean and well appointed. Ian is a great host allowing us an earlier checkin suiting our barge time.He also replied to messages. Highly recommended, just enjoy yourselves.

Great place to stay!

We have just arrrived home from a wonderful stay at Flinders Breeze. It was a short walk to the beach in a quiet street. It had everything we needed, plus more. We enjoyed a lovely BBQ outside on the deck. The house was massive and easily catered for our group. The owner was very helpful and offered us free early check in and free late check out and was in contact before we left home to make sure that we were looked after. Thanks Ian!
