Huge and spacious house, pet friendly, but no ocean views

House is huge, spacious and clean. Check in and check out was easy. Ad states oceanviews but unfortunately the trees across the road have grown so much that they block the whole view from the deck (which was unfortunate for whale watching season). There was a partial view from the kitchen window, but defeats the purpose of booking an oceanview house where you cant see it from the main deck. Lots of stairs, which was fine for us, but FYI . Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could think of plus 2 fridge/freezers. Pet friendly houses are few and far between at Straddie, but this was a lovely modern house and great for pets (as long as they can walk stairs). The doggy door allowed access from laundry to the secured mini yard. We recommend this place, esp for a large family or group of friends / couples with their furry pets. Also, the Off leash beach is a short 3 min drive just down the hill.

Straddie holiday

Comfortable beds, spacious unit. Unfortunately the units furniture needs replacing ,very worn or broken & the unit wasn't very clean & smelled.

Great house, loved our stay

Property exactly as listed, we loved our stay. Just be aware it’s a bit of a steep walk back from the beach.

house was clean enough recliner don't work tvs not working up stair lounge very worn needs up grading stove and dish washer needs up grading very thing is well used carpet in up stair lounge needs renewing had a smell to it we removed it and put it in the garage for the stay.Had a grate stay staddie is a great place

Love Straddie

Amalfi was well presented, clean and spacious. It was well appointed with laundry and kitchen appliances and utensils which allowed my extended family to enjoy and celebrate a Significant birthday.

Teenagers loved the space downstairs. House well provisioned with books, board games and kitchen had everything we needed. Took our elderly Border x Kelpie so it was great to have the fenced yard area for him. Deck area nice and elevated.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property's position was excellent as it was adjacent to a house where other family members were staying. Because of the young ages of the children, everyone had to stay on the middle & lower level. The master bedroom on the upper level was too far from the young children overnight. The inside was very clean but the external entrance steps and landing are not swept by the cleaners. Its a house better suited to families with school age children and above.

Great location!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is in a great location and fantastic for a large group of people. The only criticism was a few minor maintenance issues. The back door (laundry) key was bent and unable to open. There were a few lamps that needed new globe. Some wall fixtures (towel rails) and knobs on drawers were broken. The blinds were dusty. Otherwise it was fantastic! The kitchen was well supplied and sitting up on the deck off the kitchen was where we spent all our time in the house.

Ray white very responsive when toasted tripped the safety switch. Short drive to beach ( could walk it but uphill on way home a bit much for tired little kids! ) highly recommend!

Family getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was great for a large extended family. However, the furnishings were worn out (lounge) and very difficult to sit in. The floors were grimey and the deck definitely needed some attention,perhaps a water blaster. Vacuum cleaner was broken so very difficult to leave the place with clean floors.

Not so dog friendly

The cleanliness is very substandard. The lounge suite upstairs is broken. The BBQ had to be scrubbed before we could use it. Over 3 levels with no carpet on the stairs, I had to carry my small dogs downstairs to the tiny grassed area to do their business. There was a lot of dog poo left on the lawn which was very disappointing. It is a great house and well positioned. It just needs a good clean and some new furniture. I would not recommend it being pet friendly.

Almost perfect for our small family

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved staying here. Close to the headland, small views of the water which we prefer. Beautiful airflow in the house. We just lived on the upper floor. The stairs weren't a worry for us but once bub is crawling we will need a sturdy baby gate. Only downside we came across was the couch being super duper low to the ground. But the couch was more comfortable than most other rentals we have stayed in.

Kitchen had everything you could wish for, to self cater. Two large fridges was an excellent idea. Lovely comfortable beds, clean and roomy. Good to have two seperate lounge areas where kids could watch movies. A good supply of games and movies. Easy walk to the beach and nice little secure yard for family pet.

Great spot to stay

We were an extended family of 9 across 3 generations, plus 2 dogs. Short walk to the beach, central location. The house was clean and well stocked for dining and cookware etc. Plenty of space. Would definitely go again.

The house is immaculately clean with so many thoughtful things included in the kitchen. It doesn't have ocean views, but that doesn't matter as we love the space, the cleanliness and the atmosphere.
