Spent a wonderful week with our adult children and their spouses. House was plenty big enough and had everything we need. Were big kayakers so being able to launch from the backyard was such a bonus. We had the most amazing weather as well

We had a lovely stay at Kathy’s cottage. From the start her communication was excellent and she was very gracious to accommodate a few special requests we had. I don’t think the photos on the website do the place justice. The cottage itself is so beautiful and roomy, and the deck was more specious than anticipated. We really enjoyed the outdoor space, being able to launch kayaks from the shoreline, and the fireplace on the rainy afternoon we had. We have stayed in many beautiful rentals and what really stood out about this one was how well stocked it was with extras in the kitchen and the bathrooms for any forgotten items. It honestly felt more like borrowing a friend's amazing cottage for the weekend than a rental. We hope to have an opportunity to return.

Our stay was wonderful. The house is perfect for a family trip. Love that there are 3 queen beds. Great location for the family wedding that we attended. The views from the deck are great. Highly recommended!!!

Lovely Stay

I really enjoyed my long weekend stay at Island View. The house was very clean, cozy, stocked. The view was amazing and communication with Kathy was top-notch. The cove was fun to explore and I enjoyed looking for sea glass.

Maine Visit

Enjoyed a few beautiful days visiting Bath, Boothbay and Wiscasset. Our cottage was a bit remote, but the views were spectacular. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable. We would most definitely do it again!!

Wonderful family stay

We had such a wonderful stay in Sebasco with our two young kids. Kathy's place was perfect - clean, a beautiful location overlooking the water, and so well equipped with everything we might have needed from kitchen supplies to games and books for the kids. It was a short drive to Popham Beach, which was a perfect spot to swim and play with the kids, and the house came with a beach pass. Perfect spot to spend a week!

Everything was well stocked, and the property manager was very responsive. Beautiful modern home with everything we needed for our stay. It was lovely looking out at the fishing boats. Couldn’t beat the view!

Home away from home

Beautiful home with a spectacular view. It was the most well stocked home we’ve ever stayed in. There were many great food options nearby and super neighbors who helped us a lot. The crabby lobster was a good place to pick up cooked, giant lobsters (just call ahead). We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing property in quiet area!

Kathy's home was amazing and located in such a spacious and quiet area of Maine. The price is extremely fair for what you are getting when you stay here! The bedrooms, kitchen, and bathrooms were all spotless and I am already looking forward to staying in Maine again in the future at Kathy's beautiful property. She was so welcoming, and helped us out with restaurant recommendations and directions. Thank you Kathy!

The house and host were fantastic. I was not prepared for the fact that the location was 20 minutes to the nearest town (Bath) and 50-60 minutes from Boothbay. I would say that this location is perfect if you are looking for beautiful scenery and escaping the busy and perhaps hectic life that you temporarily need a break from.

We didnt want to leave!

This location is beautiful, the house is very nice and accommodated the family easily. Very clean and comfortable. Wonderful kitchen and 2- bathrooms! Fresh sea air and fresh lobster what more could you ask for? This was our first Vrbo rental and we are impressed. We highly recommend. Kathy was easy to contact and responsive if we had any questions. Thank you Kathy, we absolutely loved it. We'll be back!

Quaint cottage

We had a very nice stay despite the rain in the beginning of our week. It is a beautiful house. The only negative is that it is a good 30 minutes to Bath, where there are stores & convenience things. Also we had to go to Laundromat as there is no washer. Or dryer.

Off the beaten path get away

This lovely home is definitely away from the rat race! Arriving after dark was a little nerve racking, but what a pleasant surprise to awaken to the beautiful view off the deck! Island View Cottage was very comfortable with plenty of room for the four of us to move around and not feel crowded. The kitchen is well equipped with anything you might need, including basic seasonings and spices. Comfortable beds and furniture, and quiet surroundings. An extra special surprise was being able to arrange for the delivery of fresh lobster, which we cooked ourselves! Kathy quickly responded to questions and offered many recommendations for dining and activities nearby. If you’re looking to get away from the daily grind in a beautiful, peaceful setting, this is your destination.

Island View Cottage

The house was beautiful. I have a few suggestions for the owner. First, i think renters need to know how the water system works ahead of time & that they are expected to conserve water at the house as much as possible. Secondly, we didn't realize there was no washer/dryer at the property so that became a problem for us. Lastly, I highly recommend that the owner go down to the beach area by the house & pick up all the dog poop down there. I have never seen so much dog poop in my life. You can't walk in that area without stepping in poop. It smelled bad & ruined our walks to the beach area. Thanks.

First, hopefully everyone is conserving water these days, not just when they're on vacation. Secondly, prospective guests should always read the list of amenities. If the washer/dryer boxes aren't checked off, that means there aren't any at the property. Or double check with the owner when she asks if you have any questions. Lastly, it's the Canada geese, not dogs, doing what they do. I'll definitely include a warning to future guests this fall.

Perfect Maine Getaway

Island View is a lovely home in a small mid-Coast Maine community and we thoroughly enjoyed our vacation. The house is nicely remodeled with a well equipped kitchen and all the items needed for preparing meals and then some. The back deck was lovely for sitting and enjoying the view. The beds were comfortable and there is tons of storage space. The home is very close to others but all immediate neighbors were lovely. AC was appreciated but fortunately not needed as there is great air flow with the windows open. We love this part of Maine and found our favorite spots easily accessible like Freeport, Brunswick, Monkey C Monkey Do, Boothbay and Popham Beach (pass included). Kathy was a wonderful host and communicated all the essentials but just a few things to note: a house is currently being built nextdoor from the ground up and the construction noise was significant during the day. Fortunately we were busy elsewhere most days. Also, doing laundry at the laundromat is a time commitment so pack accordingly to try and avoid needing to do any. We managed to find a nice one in Freeport and shopped between loads. Finally, the water access is good for launching kayaks and paddle boards but not much else. There is no dock access for the fisherpeople in our group and the goose poop and seaweed limited playing or wading close to the waters edge.
