Cedar Cove was completed in 2023 and designed for tranquility: find yourself surrounded by woods and water, in a beautiful section of Southport Island, not far from beaches or marinas. Wood floors and siding allows the home to blend in, in its location, and you'll find all the necessary modern amenities (new washer, dryer, stove, fridge, work space and smart TVs) inside.

The home is just minutes from multiple restaurants on Southport, and is just 10 minutes from Boothbay Harbor, a lively town with great restaurants, shops, activities, live music and much more.

Please note that because the house is new, the landscaping is very simple - woods, stone and gravel.

We cannot say enough good things about this property and its owners! Not only is it close to so many great things, but it is a respite in and of itself. The view is gorgeous and the house was immaculate and the most well appointed and stocked home we’ve ever rented. It was also perfect for our little one! You will not regret staying here! Thank you to our kind hosts.

Very clean, location was quiet and convenient (easy access to Boothbay, Robinson's, and CMBG), kitchen very nice. Pet friendly too. Manager comm was good. Downstairs queen bunk beds are awkward as they are built-in against the wall so they can really only accommodate 1 person each.

A beautiful home with a gorgeous water view

A beautiful spot and a convenient location to Boothbay Harbor. We had a lovely weekend staying at this beautiful home to attend a wedding nearby. A fairly private location in a neighborhood setting which was perfect for us with a dog. If we ever come this way again, we would love to stay here again.

Honeymoon Getaway

We had a fantastic time there with our pup on our honeymoon. The view was remarkable and the communication with the owner was transparent and clear. We loved the house and would definitely consider going back! Perfect location, beautiful memories!

My husband and I and our golden retriever had an absolutely glorious two weeks at Cedar Cove and hosted first our daughter, son-in-law, and three young grandkids and later my brother and his partner. The house and deck overlook a stunning and peaceful cove visited by herons, ospreys, gulls, and cormorants and there is water access less than ¼ mile away. The interior is beautifully designed for both communal celebrations and for privacy; the kitchen features new appliances and everything necessary for cooking and entertaining. The location is very private but is also minutes from Boothbay Harbor restaurants and attractions. We took the grandkids on their first schooner adventure and they also loved Hendrick’s Head Beach in Southport. It was a very hard place to leave!

Relaxing Retreat

This house does not disappoint. We had a comfortable stay and greatly enjoyed this house. We were close to downtown Boothbay and the Gardens Aglow. This property is waterfront.

We absolutely loved our stay in Maine! The home is in a fantastic location—perfect for relaxing on the deck and taking in the beautiful view. The kitchen is thoughtfully stocked, making it easy to prepare meals and enjoy nights in. For anyone needing to work a bit while away, the dedicated office off the upstairs master bedroom is a great setup. Tucked just off the main road, the house offers a peaceful retreat from the busier tourist areas, yet it's only a short drive to Boothbay Harbor. We appreciate homeowners who allow dogs as they are part of our family too and it made for a wonderful vacation.

A good time in June

Our extended family group spent a week enjoying the property ( the view was wonderful) and the many activities in Boothbay. The weather was perfect and no crowds in early June.

Breathtaking!

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful Maine retreat. The property was even more stunning in person—peaceful, beautifully designed, and surrounded by natural beauty. Whether we were sipping coffee on the deck, watching the sun set over the water, or exploring the nearby coastal towns, everything about our time here felt relaxing and special.The home had everything we needed and offered the perfect balance of comfort and character. The location was ideal—tucked away enough to feel like a true escape, but still close to great restaurants, local activities and charming small-town attractions.Highly recommend to anyone looking for a serene and scenic getaway. Relaxing getaway

Beautiful new home with a water view, the deck was a perfect place to sit and have morning coffee or evening drinks. Well equipped kitchen for when we wanted to stay in and cook but close enough to restaurants and bars for when we wanted to go out. Great parks with walking trails were 20-30 minutes away. Our hosts were very responsive. Thank you. Great place to stay.

Absolutely perfect!

Such a cute, new cabin-in-the-woods like feel but right on a salt water bay. The view of the water is so serene, and the home is very comfortable and spacious. The kitchen has everything you might need to make dinner. Our family loved Southport Island! We went for walks and a enjoyed just driving around and admiring the costal towns around. Definitely would stay again!

Windjammer Festival

Our family spent 10 days at this property. We made many meals while there in a very well stocked kitchen and were able to store many items in the refrigerator/ freezer. The outdoor porch area had great patio chairs and a wonderful picnic table to sit at. The living room allowed us time and adequate space for a family movie night with popcorn. The furniture and beds were comfortable. The large set back from the road and yard area gave the kids a place to blow bubbles, lick a soccer ball and play together in the nice weather. Rebecca was a very communicative host throughout the process. There was a lot of serenity to this special property. This place in Maine was a special place for us to stay with a quick drive into Boothbay Harbor. We enjoyed our visit!

Awesome, tranquil cove water front location

Beautiful cove front property nestled amongst pine trees. We breathed in wonderfully clean air while enjoying our dailey morning coffee on the waterfront deck. The location was perfect for enjoying the serenity of the area while being a short 1 to 4 mile drive to great restaurants for lobster rolls and other local seafood. Property was very clean and had everything we needed. Hosts were very kind and responsive. We will definitely come back!

Relaxing vacation spot

We loved our Southport vacation. Cedar Cove is updated and very clean inside. It has a beautiful view of the water from the deck but no direct access to the water from the property, though there is water access about 5-10 minute walk down the road. The beds are comfortable and there was plenty of space for our group of 4 adults, 3 teens and a dog. The kitchen Hassan everything we needed. It’s a quick drive to Boothbay harbor and there’s a very cute mini market on the island less than 5 minutes drive away.

Heaven in Southport

Our trip was 7 days at a beautiful home with high end finishes and appliances, the home is located in Southport near The delightful sea side village of Boothbay Harbor in a waterfront pine grove accented by poplar and maple trees. Fall color was throughout the area. This was our 4th fall visit to the area and ranked as the best. Home was accurately described in the listing. We are looking forward to the opportunity to rent again. Communication with the owner was fast and accurate.

Peaceful Escape

What a wonderful week we just spent in this newly built retreat. The view was incredible—we soaked up every minute that we could on the lovely porch. The house has a great feel—uncluttered, yet with a personable and comfortable touch. The setting is so peaceful, and the neighborhood is so picturesque. Our daily strolls down the island road were a highlight of our time. The location is fantastic—plenty of privacy and quiet, but a short drive from all that Boothbay Harbor has to offer. We highly recommend booking a stay—we’re already dreaming of our next Maine getaway!

Peaceful Waterfront attractive home

Cedar Cove is a waterfront property on a quiet cove - in part because it is not a navigable waterway. But a nice view from the deck and indoor dining space.The main floor Great Room/dining/well-appointed kitchen were light and airy as was the upstairs primary bedroom. A General Store is less than a 10 minute drive across the island, and the location of this house is convenient enough to get to Boothbay Harbor quickly. Rebecca was very responsive both prior to and during our stay. Have stayed in several other Southport properties; this was the best one for sure!

Beautiful new home. Quiet area a short drive from Boothbay Harbor.

Beautiful new property with plenty of room with 3 bedrooms and 21/2 baths. The view of the water is very peaceful. We were disappointed that the cove is not navigable. The cove is damned with a sluice gate so does not connect with the water beyond the cove. We had our paddle board with us so had to walk it a ways to put in the water.

Epitome of Host!

Rebecca was a total gem as the day before we were supposed to travel to Maine, we got sick with Covid. She very kindly reimbursed us the full amount of the rental despite it being so last minute and was incredibly responsive and thoughtful. While we weren’t able to experience her great place, we will make sure to book it again since she was such a kind host. She is the epitome of the definition of host!

Stylish New House

We have stayed at quite a few rentals in the Boothbay area and this house by far was the nicest. It is extremely clean and fresh looking and smelling and we loved all the paint colors and tile The layout was great, with a big master upstairs with its own full bath, and then 2 bedrooms on the first floor and another full bath. And the living/ kitchen area is very bright and airy and it’s the perfect size to make a meal together, watch tv, or play games. The kitchen is equipped for anything you might need. And the house is set in such a lovely spot, and we loved being able to walk on to Capital Island. Highly recommend the house and we look forward to going back.
