Nuestro histórico Pazo (circa 1856) fue completamente renovado y reformado en el año 2004. Desde su ubicación sobre una colina, que disfrute de vistas impresionantes de la cordillera del suroeste de la montaña y de nuestros vastos pastos. Los niños y adultos por igual son transportados lejos del mundo de la ciudad a la vida en una antigua finca de Virginia, impecablemente restaurado, situado en un terreno que fue propiedad de presidente James Madison, cuya casa Montpelier es justo al otro lado de la montaña.

Este es un lugar maravilloso para reunir a varias generaciones de la familia en un local donde se contentaron todas las edades. Adultos saborear la tranquilidad, las vistas, los sitios históricos, museos, restaurantes, bodegas, tiendas de antigüedades y galerías de arte, los recorridos paisajísticos y pueblos pintorescos. Los niños son infinitamente fascinado por tener 600 acres en el que ejecutar salvaje, explorar la naturaleza, descremada rocas y peces en estanques, ver los caballos y las vacas y la vida silvestre, mirar hacia abajo los pozos viejos, oler el estiércol, insectos aligeramiento persecución y ranas, y tienen aventuras rurales de todo tipo. Absolutely beautiful property

Visited Monticello, wineries, and shops with 9 girlfriends and had a great time. The property has horses, barns, and beautiful sunsets. Sleeping arrangements were good for 8 people. The ninth or more person had to sleep on pull out couch or trundle beds. The 9th spot was not made up for us so we needed to make up the bed. Most pillows need to be replaced. The hot tub was clean, hot and nice. They only had 6 towels out for us, but we made it work. The kitchen was well stocked. The communication was excellent. .

A lot to explore

Fun to walk aound the property, a lot of things to see. House is very clean and comfortable. We have four couples, and we all had a good time. Wish the TV can be bigger for the countdown though.

Family Thanksgiving

About a month out from Thanksgiving the family decided to get everyone together, however we live 12 hours apart. We found this place available and was about in the middle so it was perfect. It had plenty of space and great features. The staff and those working with the horses were all friendly and accommodating. The one and only negative thing I could say is the hot tub at the house wasn’t working, which we didn’t know until we got there, and the kids were looking forward to it. That being said, there is a second one available on property, we just didn’t want to go that far with the kids in the cold. Everything else was a 10. The history of the place is neat and the towns in the area were fun to explore. We will definitely be back!

Heaven on earth

A wonderful family getaway. Stayed in the manor house and fell in love instantly. The pictures do not do the property justice! A beautiful home stocked w everything you need. Friendly and helpful staff at every turn. Please go with your family and relax, unwind, feed horses, hike, bike, hot tub, and relax. We drove 12 hours from Chicago. Would do it again next month!

Thanksgiving 2023

We are a large group of family members (25+) ranging in ages from 88 down to 1 so finding a place to go to for a Thanksgiving reunion is hard to say the least. Wolftrap farm was almost perfect for our group. The manor house is on of 7 properties available and all are easy walks to the manor house for big meals. Don’t let the outside fool you because the age of house can be seen there. Inside is amazing. Extremely clean and well stocked with all paper products and toiletry items you will need. Beds are very comfortable and well maintained. Outside the views are spectacular and you have plenty of space and activites available to fill up any given day. Everyone had a blast!!

Fabulous location, and special home

This was a special destination, both in terms of the house itself, and the expansive farm with its beautiful views! The home is beautifully kept up--impressive for a historic property. There are plenty of places for conversation, games, and meals. Gorgeous furniture, too. It is a lovely place for hikes, even in the wintertime, when we visited. Recommend very highly!

Cool Rustic House on a Working Farm

Really cool experience staying in a historical home in the middle of a working farm. Farm staff were very polite and it was nice walking around the property. Great location for people looking at going to some of the nearby vineyards (Horton and Barboursville about 20 minutes away) and old historic Orange. Will definitely look to come back in the future.

Beauty on the Farm

Our group had a wonderful time staying on the Wolf Trap Farm. It was truly beautiful and fun for all ages! Everyone we came in contact with was friendly and very kind to us and our group of children. Would definitely return for another stay and maybe look into horseback riding. Check in and out process was very easy, which was much appreciated for our large group!

Great family escape

I stayed here with three college friends, their wives, and our six children under the age of five. It was a perfect spot. The horses and outdoor space were great to run around. The manor house is comfortable and spacious and clean.

Post-Vax Getaway!

My friends and I booked the Manor House for a weekend vineyard trip after most of us not seeing each other for a year due to COVID! We had a blast. The house is gorgeous and the property is just as beautiful as it sounds in the description. We cooked both nights and noticed that the kitchen was lacking some quality knives for chopping and the oven door didn't close all the way (we made it work but, as moms, we all agreed that we'd have been nervous if our kids were there!). The house also seemed like it could stand to be sprayed for bugs. We noticed quite a few spiders and earwigs. All in all, a great experience and we would definitely return.

Beautiful Place

Stunning property. The homes decor was amazing, the views were beautiful and you’re surrounded by horses on all sides. Stayed with my wife and my in-laws for my wife’s birthday. It was exactly what we needed, hoping to return soon.

Amazing experience!

We stayed here for my nieces wedding in Charlottesville and had other relatives join us. It was absolutely beautiful and the views and farm setting wonderful. Comfortable beds, enjoyed the large dining room table, and plenty of rooms and porches to escape for quiet time. We will be back!!

A Wonderful Stay!

This was a perfect location to just get away and relax! The house is large and charming, we loved that we could enjoy a fire in the dining room! Kitchen very well equipped. The property is perfect to just get out and breathe! Friendly horses, we loved feeding them carrots. The game barn kept our teens busy, as well as the fishing ponds. Food Lion was a 15 minute drive into town, which was convenient! Will definitely book again!

Blissful Getaway

The Manor House at Wolf Trap farm was the perfect, blissful getaway for me and my family. The house was beautiful, cozy, and incredibly charming with its era appropriate decor. We lived in front of the fireplaces in the evenings (including one in the dinning room!) and during the days we walked the farm, hiked nearby, fed apples and carrots to the horses, saw some nearby historic sites, and lounged in the backyard of the house by the bonfire - playing horse shoes and croquet. The landscape was absolutely picturesque and we saw beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the mountains. The check-in and check-out process was seamless and easy and Tina, who oversaw our stay, was an absolute delight to work with. She was incredibly helpful and available whenever needed. In non-COVID times, I think there would be plenty to do beyond the farm as well! Nearby towns of Gordonsville and Orange are adorable with shops and restaurants. All in all would highly recommend this property and plan on returning to it in the future!

My wife and I live in Virginia Beach, where we have engaged in buying and renovating properties for many years. In 2003, while looking for a mountain 'getaway' property, I stumbled upon a rundown horse farm that looked like it needed me. At 584 acres, it was about 20 times more than we were looking for, but we dove in. Only after we completed the purchase did we learn that the Manor House predated the Civil War. After 18 months of rehab work on the 3 homes and 2 barns, we opened two of the houses for guests. Since then, we have added four additional homes plus two wedding reception facilities and a number of other amenities.

Charlottesville is one of the most beautiful areas in America. The terrain is beautiful - rolling, with mountain views, and beautiful farms (including Wolftrap). You have all the amenities of civilization (including great restaurants), but you are in a rural area dotted with small towns and villages. There's a reason Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, Governor Barbour and other historical personages picked this area, and why some modern day jet setters chose this area for their East Coast hideaways.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We enjoy the beauty of the farm itself. Everywhere you look, you are seeing the mountain range, beautiful pastures with horses or cattle, or the woods. The house is great when we have family or friends sharing it with us. The best thing about the house itself is the number of places where people sit and talk. Somehow, the size and configuration of the rooms and furnishings just make people want to sit and talk. This happens at the kitchen table, in the den, the living room, on the upstairs porch, at the horseshoe pits, on the patio, and in the hot tub. Our grandchildren love the rope swing and the ability to roam the trails.
