Gypsy's Rest es el secreto mejor guardado de la región de Hobart / Port Arthur.

Una hermosa propiedad, con vistas al mar en expansión desde casi todas las partes de la casa. Escucha y mira el océano desde tu cama.
Hay un nuevo y moderno sofá redondo en la sala de estar.
Gran veranda, con una acogedora cama doble, barbacoa y fabulosas áreas de entretenimiento al aire libre.
El lugar perfecto para relajarse con un vaso de vino Tassie local, con gambas o un suntuoso Filete de Ojos que chisporrotea en la barbacoa, mientras disfruta de una vista impresionante, con su familia, amigos o solo ustedes dos.
Muy aislado, con su propio camino privado hasta el océano y el embarcadero.
El embarcadero se encuentra a 2 minutos a pie. Perfecto para pescar, puede ver a sus hijos pescar desde la comodidad de su casa de vacaciones (se suministra equipo de pesca básico).
También hay una rampa para botes en el embarcadero, donde tienes acceso en bote a una bahía protegida.
Fantásticas playas para nadar a poca distancia.
Elija hierbas frescas del jardín.

Perfect!

We loved Gypsy’s Rest. The property itself was quiet and relaxing, very comfortable and welcoming. The location was spot on for us - a semi-remote setting but shops close by in Sorell and great for us in terms of day trips to Hobart and Port Arthur. Also excellent value for money.

The name says it all, definitely restful

I booker this with my partner, 3 nights, was definitely a wow factor place, would like to come back again, fishing is a must, on the point, got nothing off the jetty, well equipped cupboards, very impressive, comfortable, clean, the only thing I struggled with, was being told you can only light the fire in certain months, I don't get that, we should be able to light the woodheater or firepit when ever we want, obviously wouldn't in fire restriction times, but just found that rule a lil off putting. Something minor, but still found it abit wrong. Great positioning, a wow factor view, very very peaceful, just beautiful.

Small town serenity

A great beach style stay with plenty of room for kids and activities as well as solitude if needed. With a nice little walk to the water, open fire and outside bath, gypsys rest makes for a great weekend getaway. The lack of any real shops was our only negative so next time we'd go much more equipped.

Peace

Gypsy’s Rest was a wonderful place to stay as we felt at peace the whole time, which was why we chose to go there. The views were amazing and the fireplace cosy. We even used the outdoor bath which was fun. The coffee machine and having the coffee provided was also great. The bed was a bit too firm for me but other than that everything was perfect.

Beautiful view

The property was magic, amazing water views, glorious deck to sit out on and enjoy the sun that we had and the view of the boats below. Only thing I would say is that microwave containers for cooking and heating are needed, you have a lovely kitchen with full use, just need to update essentials. Would fully recommend for a stay away

Rustic beach house

Absolutely enjoyed our 2 night stay! Stunning water views, conveniently located between Hobart and Port Arthur and up the road from a great beach. The house was warm, homey and really well equipped. It was cold and rainy outside but we didn’t notice! Home cooked meals, a wood fire and the coffee machine were a bonus! Wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely visit again! Thankyou!

Lovely holiday

We really loved our stay, well catered holiday house, very peaceful and private with amazing view over the water. The house was tastefully decorated but still maintained a holiday feel to it. We would recommend to others looking for a relaxing break away.

What a magnificent deck, great layout, plenty of seats, and the view at sunrise is fantastic, the house has nice decor throughout. Primrose Sands is a great beach, about 1km away

Excellent property

What a warm and welcoming property. So cosy. We spent a lot of time here just to relax and rejuvenate. Beds were comfy. Lounge area was fantastic. And that view wow. Only thing is make sure you bring all your staples for cooking. Never know though, the last guests to stay may have cleaned the pantry out. We would definitely recommend this property. We would love to stay again. Our dogs had a great time too. Thanks for having us.

Lovely property and relaxing feel

Shack-like features, high price

This property is inhospitable from my point of view. See what you think: if you think it's reasonable for 7 guests to be provided with 2 rolls of toilet paper over the Christmas period when the property's located in the middle of nowhere with no shops within reasonable access, at the best of times let alone Christmas, you may enjoy your stay here. If you want a tiny living room in which guests must take it in turns to sit on the grotty rug because there aren't enough seats, you'll be happy. If you don't care for an indoor dining table during mosquito season and you're happy to cook on an uncleaned BBQ, you're unlike me and my 6 friends. We paid a high price for this tiny shack-like property (more than for a stunning place in central Paris!) and feel completely ripped off. My advice: there are plenty of quality places elsewhere. You'll be a lot happier to pay a quality-price for services that justify the high price, especially if they're provided by people who understand the meaning of hospitality from a broad range of perspectives, not just their own.

Amazing place to stay!

This was a lovely property to stay in. The views were amazing, the house was very comfortable and functional and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The fact that is pet friendly was a bonus. Everything we needed was right at our fingertips and it truly was a home away from home. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and can't wait to go back there again myself.

Beautiful little gem

Gypsy's Rest really made our trip special. We visited Tasmania on short notice and under difficult circumstances but the holiday home brought comfort and peace when we needed it. The view is really special from both the main bedroom, the living area and the decking, the courtyard provides an excellent windbreak to enjoy meals, the decking is beautiful and the extra studio is very peaceful with a great view of the bay. The customer service was great and very helpful. There was an awesome selection of teas provided and all the utensils you could need. The decor is all pretty awesome and there are some beautiful pieces around the property. The only critique i can provide is that the water pump next to second bedroom was quite loud particularly in the mornings but it really wasn't a big issue for us. The house is cosy and would shine as a retreat for a couple. Overall, having a beautiful space to lay our heads and a beautiful view to wake up to made a big difference for us and we greatly appreciate it.

We recently stayed a Gypsy's rest with my brother and his girlfriend for three nights and we all had such a great time. The home has a really relaxing feel with great views. We spent alot of our time on the deck (soaking in the view) which has a great day bed and outdoor setting. Only a stones throw away (literally...we tried) from the deck is the water front, and your met with cute boat shacks and crystal clear water. The owners were great to communicate with and seem like really genuine people. Its a great distance from Hobart, far enough away to have a small beachy town feel but not to far to drive in and have a day in Hobart. Highly recommend checking it out :)
