Magnificent part of the island. Accommodation was as per advertised. Quiet little place nestled in the trees with the sound of ocean though out the night. House was very well presented and had no problems all week. Thank you for allowing us to share this magnificent place.

Treetop Paradise

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mia Mia. We booked very last minute so didn’t have linen with us. Simon was very helpful getting us in touch with a local provider and giving very clear information. This location was stunning, yes a few levels to get to the treetops but worth the effort. The natural beauty was amazing. We even saw a sugar glider just metres from the balcony one night. This was a great base to explore the north of the island which we had always wanted to do. We would highly recommend Mia Mia for couples wanting privacy and beautiful natural surroundings.

Adventure with comfort and romance

With this being our first time on Fraser Island, half the fun staying at Mia Mia was getting there. The remoteness of Orchid Beach is what attracted us to Mia Mia and when we arrived late Friday afternoon we were not disappointed. The property was the perfect size for the 2 of us, it was open plan, extremely comfortable and clean. It was such a luxury to have a full kitchen, fridge/freezer and I cannot express how wonderful it is to have a toilet and beautiful shower at your finger tips which makes it easy to keep sand out of your bed which is near impossible when your camping. Simon was the most hospitable host and provided us with some destinations to visit that only some locals know about, we both had the time of our life and are going to make a stay at Mia Mia a regular destination and have already started planing our next trip.

Delightful stay

Lovely stay here at Mia Mia. Enjoyed every minute of our time on K'gari. The host was very helpful. Would return. Many stairs. I would bring less stuff next time. The kitchen is pretty well equipped.

As the title suggests it was the perfect location, perfect property. Tricky to get to but well worth it. Thank you fir an amazing escape from it all. Next time we’ll see if we can get there by plane ..because there will be a next time :)

Perfect location, amazing getaway

What an amazing location at Orchid Beach on Fraser Island. Stayed in Mia Mia for 3 nights and felt like we were in the treetops in the middle of nowhere. Four walls of huge windows with just the breeze and trees such a beautiful setting. Balcony/Decking was the perfect spot for wine and cheese and total relaxation. Didn't want for anything, great facilities. Will definitely recommend to family and friends. Thanks

Beautiful location, nearly feels like a treehouse

We absolutely loved the decor and location of MiaMia. Very complete kitchen, nothing to wish for. All features work flawlessly. Simon super-friendly with lots of advice, free kitchen towel as gift. We loved our stay and can only recommend this to other travellers. Away from the "beach highway", a little haven of luxury and sophistication, where you can enjoy the bird's view and chirping in the morning. Gorgeous terrace with beautiful view.

The perfect getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mia Mia last week. The cottage is perfectly positioned up in the trees - you can see all the way out to the ocean. We woke each morning to the sunrise & drifted off to sleep each night listening to the surf. It was beautiful! Mia Mia had everything & more that we needed for our stay. We were really surprised the kitchen was so well equipped & the bathroom is practically brand new! We have never slept in a more comfortable bed - it was so luxurious! Mia Mia is the perfect place to come home to after an action packed day exploring Fraser Island. It is also a beautiful place to spend a quiet day just relaxing & taking in the peaceful surroundings. If you're looking to 'get away from it all' Mia Mia is the perfect place to go!

Eco-lodge tree house - perfect & peaceful

We enjoyed our 5 nights, based at Mia Mia. Our accommodation had all the basics & a few little luxuries. It was a great base from which we explored the island. I can recommend this lovely eco-lodge tree house to couples for a romantic getaway or a week of R&R.

Perfect place for a romantic weekend away!

Mia Mia is the perfect little cottage for a couple to stay in to relax and enjoy everything that Orchid beach has to offer. The breezes coming in through the many windows and light and thoughtful decorations of the property make it a very enjoyable experience. We will be back!

My husband and i were looking for a "getaway", he wanted to get me away from the tv and him away from the iPad and phone! This was absolutely bliss, the location and layout of our unit was beautiful! Very functional and comfort but the best thing there was no tv and Internet! It was truly a getaway! spending afternoons and mornings at the beach then coming back to a clean and modern unit for lunch and tea! I would highly recommend it to any couple who really want to get away from it all and spend time together! We will be coming back again!!

Mia Mia is situated in the quiet and leafy end of the Orchid Beach. From the deck you can see glimpses of the ocean through the trees and hear the waves clearly at night. The northern end of the township is a more recent development and is comparatively suburban.
This little cottage has been carefully designed and placed in the treetops to take advantage of the ocean breezes and to appreciate the local bird life. It's natural setting and smart stylish decor make it unique at Orchid Beach.
