Enjoy the beautiful Fraser Island/K'gari with a home base. Our sh'ouse is situated atop a half-acre block with ocean views and it features a fully equipped kitchen, 2 toilets, enough beds for a maximum of 9 guests including children (or 6 adults max). There's ample grassy space to park your cars / boats or let the kids run free. We also have smart TV with a DVD player. (Please note; no WiFi is available. You're welcome to BYO)

Orchid Beach Value

Good value for two couples. Would be great if it was two bedrooms. Everything you need is there plus more. Great aspect sitting outside with a cold drink.

Island Time was the BEST time!

We had a fabulous stay at Island Time! The house had everything we needed, with a very well equiped kitchen and an added bonus of bedding and linen being provided. The location is great with lovely ocean views. We especially enjoyed the outdoor counter for a sunset drink. Thanks Caylah for your hospitality. Highly recommend! We look forward to coming back.

AMAZING

Great location with beautiful ocean views. Amazing communication with host. The property is clean and well maintained. The kitchen is stocked with every appliance you need to make your stay easy. We have already booked to stay at the property again. Loved it.

Beautiful little home

The home was perfect for our stay, dvds for the kids to watch on the rainy days and games to play, the bread maker and bread ingredients already prepped to go was such a lovely touch! Loved sitting at the bar on the verandah for our afternoon drinks and nibbles, overall very happy with our stay. Caylah was easy to get a hold of if we had any questions. Thank you!

Island Time

Great place, great views and no stairs! All the comforts of home which was was unexpected. For example appliances you don’t usually get with houses on Fraser K’gari. Caylah was very helpful and easy to contact. We will be recommending to family and friends

Hi, I'm Caylah. I'm a stay-at-home Mum with a 6-year-old son and a 5-year-old daughter. My partner Brent and I met at Fraser Island in 2001. Our families had been travelling to Fraser Island every year prior and have continued ever since.

We're both hard workers and aren't afraid to get our hands dirty. So, when we finally bit the bullet and purchased our very own piece of paradise, we took on all the improvements on our own. We love what we've managed to create so far and hope everyone enjoys our little home away from home as much as we do.

When we're not at our Island home, Brent works as a piler and when I'm not on child-rearing or home maintenance duties, I restore headlights, do a bit of graphic design and look after all the behind-the-scenes of Island Time. I'm always into letting my creativity out.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We think this property is perfect for the family who simply wants to stay on their own with their kids, or those who are here to go fishing. We do have enough beds to sleep 9 guests, but with 3 of those beds being single bunks, we feel it's only comfortable for a maximum of 6 adults. Being on a half-acre block, there's plenty of space for boat parking, or for the kids to run around etc.

You can enjoy the ocean breezes while watching the sun rise over the ocean in the morning with a coffee in... or even watch the whales pass through in the cooler months. It's a great home-base for those wanting to explore the top end of the Island.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We have a fairly decent off-grid power system, meaning we can accommodate the mod-cons, such as the microwave, electric kettle and toaster, sandwich press, bread maker, slow cooker, etc. and you needn't be concerned with running out of power unless the weather has been terrible.
We've recently facelifted the entire house and we're constantly aiming to improve what's on offer.
We supply pillows, mattress protectors, comforters (plus spares), bathmats, tablecloths and tea towels. We just don't supply fitted or top sheets, bath towels, beach towels or face washers (for hygiene and inventory reasons).
