Perfect location!

We wanted a place that was a reasonable drive to DC and to Mount Vernon and this was just the ticket. It’s located in a nice quiet neighborhood and a short walk to pretty much anything you need or want during a vacation. I would and will be staying here again when I come down again.

Beautiful apartment. Sparkling clean, comfortable bed and couches, had everything we needed. It was lovely to walk to the Metro (maybe 8 minutes?) and also get a Starbucks coffee on the way! We felt very safe and even though there is a lot of traffic outside we did not hear it. Old Town Alexandria is a quick Uber ride to enjoy restaurants, shopping, music, and the waterfront. It is especially magical at night with lots of beautiful lights. the host Amanda was easy to communicate with and she took great care of us. Excellent place to stay! Cannot recommend it enough.

Great couples get-a-way

The place was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances and it was nice having a washer-dryer at hand, particularly after getting caught in a downpour. Bed was very comfortable. Only real issue was the street parking, tough to find a spot on a busy weekend.

Great place to stay!

Amanda was very good about responding to questions. The place was clean, well organized and the location is good because even though you are close to King street and all the restaurants and shopping, you aren't too close, which was important to us. Getting to the Capitol Mall was an easy train ride from a station that was close as well. Even had parking covered. Excellent!

Alexandria long weekend

The property was clean and comfortable. We love to the location away from the noisiness of King Street but still close enough to walk to the train station as well as the activities in old town. The host was responsive and answered all of our questions. They are Bo took far too long to return our breakage fee but that was not the fault of the property host.

1008 Pendleton Street is terrific. Very clean, coffee and creamer on hand, well equipped kitchen, great mattress, quiet, easy street parking, easy walk to Old Town and Metro. We recommend this apartment highly. We will stay again when we return. Claudia Ellet

Great Stay in Alexandria

We used this as our home base for 4 days of touring DC. Very short walk to the Metro which made it very easy to get to and from DC. The apartment was very well appointed. Extremely clean and comfortable. Tons of natural light. Great kitchen with everything you need for meal prep. We enjoyed being near old town Alexandria many wonderful restaurants and it was nice to come back to the apartment after a long day in DC.

Exceptional Stay

From the communication with the host, the location, and The property is clean and well-equipped, and our stay was wonderful. Our host promptly responded to us when needed. Trader Joe's, a neat deli that sold fresh bagels, was within walking distance, and Starbucks was at the corner. The unit was equipped with everything you needed to prepare a meal, including InstaPot and a blender if needed. Comfortable beds and reclining sofa for relaxing. We will return when our travels take us to Old Town Alexandria. Thank You, Amanda

Convenient and beautiful condo

We loved our time in this pretty, spotlessly clean condo. Very convenient to lots of restaurants, shops, the pretty waterfront, Mt. Vernon and the metro to DC. The only suggestion I would make is the check in App did not work well for us but the host was quick to respond to a simple key pad entry. Since other reviews mentioned the same thing it would be more convenient just to skip using the app. Otherwise everything else was perfect and Amanda was very responsive and easy to work with.

Great place in an excellent location

Beautiful apartment, had everything we needed for our extended stay. The bed was comfortable, house was clean, & we enjoyed having a washer and dryer. Loved all the windows with so much natural lighting. Thank you.

Contemporary oasis in Old Town

Very nice, spacious apartment with convenient street parking (although note there may be an overnight parking fee). Great location to get around Old Town and points south as well as into DC. Trader Joe's about a 5 block walk away. Spotless, contemporary, comfortable furniture, very up to date kitchen with Keurig coffee maker and lots of appliances, as well as clean and well appointed bathroom. Check-in a bit more complicated than usual with VRBO but owner was in regular communication through the process. AC/heating unit complicated to use and not completely effective at achieving comfortable temp. Very quiet at night, comfortable bed, slept great!

Wonderful Old Town Apartment

Everything was exactly as described on VRBO. Very comfortable, sparkling clean, great location, walking distance to Starbucks and Brasserie. Kitchen well stocked, great Keurig coffeemaker. Reclining sofa very nice, TV's work fine even without cable there are many streaming choices available. Amanda is a great host, super responsive.

Mixed bag review - some things excellent, others deplorable

First the positives- Clean, nicely furnished, full kitchen, nespresso coffee nice selection, lots of linens and towels. Very comfortable. Neutral - Bed pillows pretty soft, not to our liking. TVs are mounted strange. Living room TV must be 7 or 8 feet high. Hard to watch unless in the one recliner and leaning way back. Not good for other viewing positions on the couch. Bedroom TV also mounted quite a bit higher than "normal." Bad - This was so aggravating and dissapointing, it colors the whole review. We could not get into the unit. Knew there was an app for the electronic lock. Had already downloaded. When we got to unit, needed a code, which was not sent until we had already been there for 30 minutes or so. The lock app needs to connect to another home away app, which I did not have and had to set up an account. VRBO blocks the name of that app so messages to me had blanks which made it hard to sort out. After had all apps installed and accounts set up, the lock app and other rental app could not talk to each other. Contacted owner after trying for probably 1 1/2 hours will no luck. They got back to me while we were at dinner, and gave me direct access to the lock without having to go through multiple apps. Worked without any issues. After traveling for close to 12 hours, wasting 1 1/2 - 2 hours to gain access is unacceptable. From other reviews, this may not have been the first time a guest had issues with entry. On balance, I like the unit and the location, and assuming the owner would rent to me again after this review, I would stay again. Next time, I would insist on been set up directly on the lock app,. and not have to go through any other app.

Bad News Good News

New and Clean, well located in Old Town Alexandria. Communication with owner was unsatisfactory. Use of electronic locks and key box were a problem. Heat was off and building very cold with no useful instructions on how to use it. Owner did not respond to help us because we arrived at 11PM. We slept cold. During 14 day stay, no replenishment of supplies such as soap. No instructions or information on site reguarding anything.
