Superb location with a beautiful pool
We've just returned from a 10 day Christmas holiday stay at Songbird. Our family was all adults, with the eldest aged 85. We had a great time at the property. The Forster region is delightful, and Green Point is a perfect little piece of paradise. The house did have issues for our group. The main bedroom was terribly hot, having neither A/C nor a ceiling fan, and its "open" ensuite was so impractical that we didn't use it. The bath doesn't function, and the shower floods the floor. To look at a toilet from the bed isn't our personal idea of romance. The 2 downstairs bedrooms were lovely, and the beds in each room were most comfortable. Our biggest issue was the large number of stairs in the house, so we cannot recommend it for those with mobility issues. The position of the fridge in the kitchen is a nuisance - it is hidden in a cupboard, and when it is opened it blocks access to the kitchen. Songbird has 2 outstanding features - the glorious swimming pool, and the fabulous upstairs deck with its spectacular view. We watched many beautiful sunsets from there during our stay. A special shout out to the manager Ken who is always available to help with any questions, and who runs a delightful little cafe down the road. We would highly recommend Songbird to those for whom stairs are not a problem, and thank Ken for making us feel so welcome.
