El retiro

El Retiro es una casa construida propósito que puede acomodar hasta 10 personas. Sus 5 habitaciones dobles, todas tienen sus propios baños individuales. El salón principal fue utilizado originalmente como un restaurante, y está enmarcada por techos de madera abovedados y chimenea. La cocina de calidad comercial junto a un salón de desayunos, y se suministra por su propio huerto en el patio formal.

El retiro está conectado a la Red Nacional de Banda Ancha, y ofrece TV, DVD, equipo de música y Bluetooth. Cuenta con juegos de mesa y una biblioteca diversa. Incluso en días de lluvia, el Retiro ofrece algo para todos.

Las impresionantes vistas del valle de Gloucester se rematan en una piscina de agua salada.

La propiedad se encuentra en 30 acres de colinas, con una presa que es el favorito de los canguros locales y demás fauna. El refugio está situado junto a las colinas de la 'granja', donde los caballos y otros animales se divierten. Recuerde traer zanahorias y puede atraer a los caballos para una alimentación.

Family getaway at Gloucester

Beautiful and luxurious property suitable for a large group. Lots of areas to congregate together and a pool which was very welcome in the hot weather. The manager Jane was very responsive and helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

We had an excellent four day weekend. Close to the National Parks. Only minutes from town, but you feel like you are out in the country. So relaxing. The house was brilliant, we loved the pool and the views were excellent. Can't wait to come back.

Perfect Country RetreatWe were a group of eight friends celebrating a milestone school reunion. Kia Ora was absolutely perfect for our four night getaway.The house, designed around a central garden courtyard, is large with so many options to gather as a group or to retreat to for a moment of quiet. It was spotlessly clean, with fresh flowers to welcome us.The commercial grade kitchen was perfect as we are all cooks so we often had the two ovens and the microwave on the go. It was extremely well equipment with plenty of absolutely everything. The champagne glasses got a lot of use!And we loved the choice of dining spaces from the outdoor setting under the gazebo by the pool, to the eat in kitchen setting and the formal dining table.The all-ensuite bedrooms were very well appointed with beautiful bed and bathroom linens and quality toiletries.The late November weather was very warm, so the large pool overlooking the property was a godsend. The owner Stephen was very easy to deal with and Jane (the local manager) was wonderful - even arranging for the pool to be serviced after a storm blew through and bringing batteries for a remote that was troublesome.We couldn’t fault Kia Ora. We have already booked for next year.

Beautiful place to stay!

This is the second time my family and I have stayed at this property and it doesn’t disappoint. The house has plenty of rooms and space, and the view outside is amazing. We have gone during summer both times and the pool naturally warms up to a very nice temperature. We also enjoyed feeding carrots to, and patting the horses. It was just the relaxing holiday away from busy Sydney and work that we needed to recharge. We will be back for sure!

Family Stay

This is our 3rd time to stay at Kia Ora and will not. be our last ,Easy booking and check in.The house easily accomodated our family and has everything that is needed for a long stay .All rooms have ensuites and aircon, and pool is a bonus on those hot days.Top notch house and facilities.Also if you are looking at going to a winery try Gloucester River Wines and book ahead with John for a most informative wine tasting experience. Perfect escape for the family

This property is stunning! From the moment you enter, the atmosphere is inviting and the relaxed vibe takes over. As a family of five with a teenager, tween and younger child, the house was more than enough space to please everyone. The kids enjoyed the pool, feeding carrots to the horses and going out for dinner in nearby Gloucester. The views were stunning and it was warm enough to swim and cold enough at night to use the wonderful open fireplace. We even fired up the barbecue on our final night. Comfortable and spacious, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you, we'll be back!

Kia Ora was excellent AGAIN

We have now stayed at Kia Ora twice… once in winter and once with glorious spring sunshine…. the property is set up for both and between the open fire, air con and pool has everything we needed. as per our first visit immaculately clean and a very smooth process.

Beautiful and so relaxing

Such a comfortable stay in a lovely spacious home. Warm and inviting with everything you could possibly want. Surrounding countryside is magnificent and gorgeous views from the home. Definitely be back!

We were a group of 4 Couples. We had a great experience from the time we arrived until departure. We enjoyed a clean beautiful house with a great view and surrounding. Each couple had their own privacy when required and also enjoyed having our own ensuite. The Kitchen was fantastic. Will definitely book again next year.

Lovely Country Retreat

We are a group of eight friends who go away each year to various places. We all so enjoyed our stay at Kia Ora. The accommodation was spacious and very clean. Each of the 5 bedrooms were very comfortable with their own ensuites. The very large kitchen was well stocked with plenty of cooking utensils and crockery and cutlery. We all enjoyed the outdoor areas with wonderful views over the beautiful countryside. A great place to spend with family or friends. Would highly recommend Kia Ora.

A perfect stay to rest and unwind

Kia Ora was a great getaway from Sydney. Lovely views, quiet, spacious, comfortable, clean and everything you could need for a short stay. The pool and new poolside pergola were a hit - we loved having dinner under the pergola as the sun set and the lights of town twinkled in the distance. Clarrie and Bree welcomed daily carrots and the bird life and frogs made for interesting daily encounters! From booking to checkout and all communication in between, all interactions were prompt, informative and pleasant. Thank you for a memorable stay.

Wonderful, unique property

Wonderful property, the views are amazing! Feels so private yet only a 10 minute drive to the shops. We were a family group of up to 7 including 2 teens and stayed 7 nights. There was something for everyone to do.We spent most of our time in the amazing pool and eating outside under the cabana looking at the gorgeous hills.The kids loved feeding the 2 horses every morning. The property was very clean and had everything we needed. There was plenty of space for us all to be together but the bedrooms with ensuites gave everyone time to themselves as well. The aircon worked well-we had some pretty hot days! The gardens, including a fantastic vege patch were beautiful. We had plenty of limes for our afternoon gin and tonics! We did a number of activities in the area including bush walking and moutain bike riding but in the end we all just wanted to spend most days at the property! Check in was very easy and the host communicated well. One of the best properties we have stayed at. Highly recommend.

Excellent property for a relaxing break

Property is perfectly located with beautiful mountain views and not far from Gloucester. House was clean, comfortable and provided a great balance between private nicely appointed bedrooms, all with ensuites, and a range of open communal spaces. We made use of the pool and BBQ area. Overall, a great place to spend time with friends and relax, and we will return with friends again.

Fabulous stay

This property was perfect for a girls long weekend away. It was a great location for exploring around Gloucester. The house had what we needed to make our weekend relaxed, enjoyable, and comfortable. We are already planning for our next stay.
