Fabulous.

Fabulous apartment for two people. Amazing views to Shrine. Super comfortable and well equipped. Stylish. Thoughtful extras. Quiet. Great location. Easy to walk to Botanics, South Yarra, South Melbourne, Albert Park, City Centre. Close to coffee shops, IGA, tram. Very responsive and proactive host. Cannot think of a single thing to improve the experience. Will be sure to book again when we return to Melbourne.

Perfect apartment in every way

We had a wonderful short stay. Can not fault the apartment. Even though I had high expectations (after reading the reviews) , it exceeded my expectations! (It's rare one can say that these days.) Perfect location for exploring Melbourne. Amazing views of the park and the Shrine. You really feel like you are experiencing Melbourne when you stay here - it's not just your accomodation. Very easy walking distance to the Gallery. And an easy and pleasant walk into the city. ( On our second night we walked to dinner at Flower Drum - highly recommend it - both the restaurant and the walk! Melbourne is such a walkable city.) Wonderfully equipped apartment - we did not want for anything. Karen has put a lot of thought , love and care into the apartment and is a wonderful host. Although we only communicated either via email or text, it truly felt like we were being welcomed by family. Karen your generosity of spirit shines through! Thank you for having us and when we stay again in Melbourne , I can't imagine being happier anywhere else.

An absolute 10/10!

Truely a 10/10 stayz experience! Communication with our host Karen prior to our arrival was exceptional and let us know we were in for an fantastic holiday. From the informative around town guide including everything on where to eat and drink, what trams/buses to take, ideas on what to do and all the important stuff like medical, banks, police etc to the homely welcome on arrival by Karen with Champagne! The apartment was well equipped with essentials and more. Fancy a picnic? No worries, a picnic set is waiting for you to venture into the botanical gardens across the road. Want to hit the beach? Beach towels and velcro hand ball waiting for you in the cupboard. Feeling active? Yoga mats and pilates instructions ready to go! Feel like staying in? You’ll find a wide range of magazines, books, colouring in activities, DVD’s, board games to keep you entertained. This apartment is truely a gem and you must book it! Looking forward to coming back again and again!

Perfection

Our stay was absolutely wonderful; better than described! First of all, the view is outstanding: floor to ceiling windows with the Shrine of Remembrance front and center. It was hard to believe this is a studio apartment. It was designed perfectly with excellent use of space. The kitchen was complete with every utensil, pan and wrap available. It was so wonderful, after a long traveling day, to be greeted with a card and bottle of wine (plus cheese and crackers!) There was cereal and milk available as well as eggs, bread, butter and jam. Why would we leave? Actually, leaving the apartment was a breeze. The tram stop was right outside our door. Karen was kind enough to supply myTik cards that we topped off at the IGA downstairs. The apartment is just outside the “Free Tram Zone” of the CBD hence the need to tap on. Since we were staying a week, we topped up for the weekly rate. Absolutely everything was within tram or walking distance. Karen’s recommendations were spot on. It was quite probably the best apartment we’ve rented in all our HomeAway experience (30+ apartments). Awesome!

Great Stay

Thanks Karen - you made everything very easy and thought of everything in the apartment. Great location for getting everywhere with the trams outside the front door. And lots to do just a walk away. Thank you Karen, we enjoyed the stay in Melbourne.

Perfect location.

We stayed at Karen's apartment for three nights whilst visiting Melbourne for the Australian Open. The location was great, within walking distance through the park to the Olympic Park precinct, there's also a tram stop right outside to the city. We weren't at the apartment that much but it was really great. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, efficient air con, nice views, and some nice touches like having milk, juice, cereal and sweets stocked up. Would definitely recommend it and would stay again.

City weekend away

We stayed at Karen's apartment during late December. We are Melburnians, but love occasionally going into the city for an interesting but local weekend away.The apartment is centrally located, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated-all the creature comforts and then some. Karen is an excellent hostess-helpful, prompt to return emails and texts and friendly. Melbourne has so much on offer-we visited the National Gallery, (The Escher exhibition-wonderful) went to a live stage production (MTC's Twelfth Night-outstanding) and had dinner out on Southbank with friends. We also visited the South Melbourne Market and Botanic Gardens which were both fabulous.The gardens are exquisite at this time of the year.Thankyou so much Karen, we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and hope to do this again during the year.The apartment is so much better value than a hotel and provides the opportunity to have more space and to do a little bit of cooking if one wants. Happy new year. Jenny and Glenn.

Ideal place to stay

We felt very well looked after by the owner, seemed to leave nothing to chance by giving us lots of information and she was available to ask any question we had. The accommodation was everything we needed for a short break in Melbourne. Often its the little details that make you go "aah, how nice!" Secure, fresh and a beautiful view of life in Melbourne.We left the car in the downstairs carpark and walked or took the tram. Lots of great places very close by to eat. Highly recommend.Thank you so much.

A fantastic stay!

Only two nights to stay but fantastic! From the view to the fantastic layout (small but well designed!!) to all the wonderful little touches Karen left to make it feel like home. Great access straight to the CBD via tram or simply walking, and some amazing local restaurants. The guide book was a big help for those new to Melbourne! Would definitely stay again if/when we return!

Excellent place to stay.

Fabulous apartment and fabulous host!

We can thoroughly recommend this apartment for your trip to Melbourne. It's in a perfect location with a tram stop right outside, but in summer it would be a lovely walk into the city. Right across the road from the Botanical Gardens and with restaurants and grocery store within easy reach. Karen was the perfect host. Everything you could possibly think of is in the apartment. We will definitely stay here again!
