Great location, easy walkable access to historical sites, quiet neighbors. You're just on the outskirts of the most touristy area which is a great spot. Not in a crush of people but also close to the sights.

Good bed, great location. Comfortable but not luxury. Does have stairs (maybe 10) to apartment door. Washer tried to eat my clothes, finally got them out - soaking wet and with moldy smell. No view and very dark. Outdoor area could use some love.

Great Location

The flat was clean and well stocked. The location was perfect. Close to everything but down an alley so the noise from the street was minimal. Communication with the management was excellent. They even arrange from our transport to and from the airport. We would definitely stay here again.

This one bedroom property is located in a very nice neighbourhood. It is within walking distances to all the visit spots. We spent 4 nights here and never need to take any public transportation. There are tons of restaurants right outside the building, but the property itself is very quiet. The apartment is well furnished. It even has a stereo CD player with quite some Greek singers. If there is something they can do better, I would recommend that they should have some facial tissue or paper towel. In general, I would highly recommend this place.

Lovely little apartment in Plaka

This apartment is lovely and has everything that you need for a great vacation. The best part about it was the location right in the middle of everything. It was about five Minute walk through the shopping streets of Plaka to the entrance of the acropolis. There is a little grocery store close by too. This is a great place to stay.

Right place for the right time

Everything was great even the neighbors. We expected a good location and good lodging but our 5 days here were outstanding. Plaka is clearly a top area to visit and to enjoy being a matter of short walks to fine dining, the Acropolis, its new museum and many more choices.

Everything about this booking was perfect. JJ hospitality contacted us well-before we traveled to prepare us for arrival and answered any questions we had. They told us about the neighborhood and even offered to help with recommendations. We had a full day before we flew out the last day and they recommended a place to store our luggage that was less than a block away. JJ Hospitality was great to work with!Concerning the place itself, it was perfect for what we needed. In the Plaka neighborhood there are an abundance of shops and restaurants within very short walking distance. Not to mention the acropolis is about a 7-10 min walk along with many other popular sites very close and walkable. The apartment was easy to get in and out, it was clean and cool even though the temperatures outside were hot, very comfortable and welcoming also having a nice balcony to sit on in the morning and evening to relax. Overall I would recommend this place for all of the reasons above and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

What a perfect location

Truly steps away from the main Plaka walkway but quiet because it is a pedestrian area. We could walk everywhere from here that we wanted to see. The bed was comfortable-important for jet lag- and there was air-conditioning to cool everything down to sleep well. The managers were quick to check and double check in and allowed us to get in early and leave our luggage, so helpful. We felt like we won the lotto as place to eat were around the corner and we were in the heart of history.

Great place in Plaka

The property was easy to find and looked exactly as pictured. What a great neighborhood to stay in! Communication from the hosts was timely, corteous, and helpful. The pictures sent with our booking confirmation showing where to locate the keys and so forth were very useful. Even though it's in the middle of a crowded and lively area, the apartment was very quiet. I wouldn't hesitate to book again

Best possible location in the middle of Plaka

We were very pleasantly surprised at how the Barton was one of the more economically priced options but still in the heart of Plaka. All of the major sites were within a 15-minute walk, and two metro stations were each 10 minutes away. We had some questions during our stay, and our host was very responsive, either by phone or email. In summary, a very clean, comfortable, and safe place. There are more luxurious options in the area, but the location-price combo was fantastic.

This property is a complete SCAM. Beware that the online photos are in no way representative of the apartment. Below is a list of issues we encountered.1. Lack of Basic Cleanliness:o Stained/dirty bedding. We slept in our clothes for the 1 nite we were there so as not to come in contact w/bedding. o Greasy/dirty kitchen counters, stove, cabinets.o Dirty dishes in cabinetso Unsanitary bathroom-mold & mildew in shower, standing water in toothbrush holder – gross, sink top that hadn’t been cleaned.o Standing water in the wash machine dispenser. I didn’t use it for fear it might overflow. 2. Damaged & Unclean Furniture:o Significant stains on living room furniture.3. Inoperable Property Features:o The bathroom & bedroom doors can not be opened/closed properly.We didn’t arrive at the apt until 11:30pm due to delayed flights. We were up until 4:30am trying to find another place to stay. We left the next day & informed the mgt co, sent a list of all issues along with photos. The response was that ALL issues could be remedied by a “second” pass by the cleaners. Clearly untrue that cleaners could remove mildew, clean furniture, fix doors. They then admitted that a carpenter would be needed too.It is clear that the mgt co, nor the owners, care abt the condition of this property, or the comfort & safety of guests. BTW - they refused to return any of our money, so we paid for 5 nites in an apt that was unfit for habitation, when we only stayed 1 nite.Please don't stay here!

As you know, our response was to mobilise and give the place a second cleaning but you already made the decision to depart during the night. This 1BR apartment is on the 1st floor of a 1950's apartment building. It has a small strip balcony overlooking the quiet lane. The space is comprised of a living room, kitchen and dining area, and a double bedroom with large bathroom (with walk-in shower) attached. The apartment was recently renovated in late 2018 and is completed to a very high standard. Colours are in cool minimal style, with some splashes of colour. The sleek modern kitchen hosts a number of brand new appliances including oven and filter coffee machine. The living room has 2 large, comfy sofas, one of them folds into a double bed. There is also a large flat screen TV with terrestrial TV and BBC.
