Great location close to city, public transport etc. Good to have a small kitchen (although some of the pans were poor). Hotel building needs a refurb but the room itself is good. Would also be good to know about cleaning, rubbish etc up front as it is different to the hotel

The property was fine and suited our needs well for the week. Basic but clean and well located. The hotel itself has been cleaning regularly due to covid but the smell of ammonia was overpowering and made me sick in the lobby and lift. This is not the property’s issue but I’d definitely flag it because it was the strong. Property had everything we needed but I would say a few lightbulbs didn't work and the fold out couch is very old only my young child could sleep or sit on it. It needs replacing.

Good location and that's it.

The check in was easy with keys left at the hotel reception. It is an old building, slow elevators but the location next to Oxford St and Hyde Park was perfect, so central to everything. Firstly, the listing mentions that there is a gym and swimming pool available. I specifically chose this apartment for the facilities as having a gym and pool is really important for me while travelling. I'm really disappointed that the listing is incredibly misleading and not mentioning that the facilities are under renovation and closed for months. If they were closed for a day, that Is fine but when they are closed for this long it Is hugely misleading to have them included in the listing. The Hotel front desk advised the renovations are expected to go until May. The apartment looks dirty. The bed was made and I trust that it was clean when I checked in but the skirting boards and walls are so filthy and disgusting. Not hard to clean them so the cleaner must be lazy. There is only 1.5 toilet rolls for a 5 night stay. No bed head and the couch is just awful to sit on as it sinks in and is uncomfortable. There was water leaking from under the fridge, we had to use the hand towels to dry that up. There were only 2 large towels in the apartment. There is a washing machine but no dryer in the apartment. The worst is that the room is stuffy, if there is sun on the windows then the apartment gets quite hot, we used the Airconditioner to cool the room and since then it continually dripped water, it has made a wet patch on the carpet, we have tried to dry that up, it keeps dripping after it has been turned off and we have placed an icebucket under it to catch the drips. This was awful and made us really unsatisfied. Some of my above concerns have been mentioned in previous reviews and they seem to not have been actioned. Dealing with the property manager has been easy and we were offered a partial refund, however I would not stay here again in the apartment as it is.

Good location and bad everything else

Great location close to city. No services from hotel staff available. Not even a walkthrough. Room amenities poor overall. TV didn't work at all. Sofa plunges by inches upon sitting. Very old kitchen with dirt in kettle. Bath tub tap wouldn't close properly. Shower handle came loose.

Die Wohnung war nicht sauber. Hinter der Couch lagen noch Essenreste rum. Die Couch ist in die Jahre gekommen. Zum schlafen nicht mehr geeignet. Das Bad ist renovierungsbedürftig. Badewanne ist im schlechten Zustand. Hier wird wohl immer nur das nötigste renoviert oder repariert. Der Pool stand uns nur einen Tag zur Verfügung, weil Fensterreinigung vim Dach aus durchgeführt wurde. Lage zur City ist aber gut.

Poorly Cleaned

Upon arrival the interior AirCon unit appeared to be falling from the ceiling, the bathtub had mould growing between the tiles and there was hair on the floor. The shower curtain was sub standard and blew into the tub making it near impossible to enjoy a good shower. The bathroom door opened into the bathroom making it very difficult to safely get out of the shower. There was dirt and dust in both windowsills which appeared to not have been dusted in months. Kitchen didn’t have a spatula yet had 2 toasters? There were 2 large towels and 2 hand towels provided, yet no wash cloths, we used face towels as wash cloths. Exterior windows were filthy making it impossible to enjoy the view, not to mention the noise from the street could be mitigated with double pane glass. Front less than helpful once they determined that we were staying in a “private rental” within the hotel.

Fabulous location, comfortable and with very good facilities

Ideally situated and comfortable and well provided with facilities. As it is in such a central position it can be noisy in the night time, however having been busy walking around every day we had no serious difficulty sleeping. There is nothing to criticise apart from the latter, and we would thoroughly recommend it as a Sydney stay. It was very helpful to have the key left at reception as we were fairly late flying in to the airport, so thank you to our contact, Peter for that. The pool and rooftop view were a great asset which we much enjoyed.

Amazing location

The location is fantastic, the view is perfect. The apartment is small, and if you are looking for a place that has the comforts of home, this isn't it. The water pressure in the shower was amazing! The bed in the room is comfortable, the bed in the couch, not so much. The biggest problem was the air conditioner started dripping and never stopped. I messaged the owner but never got a response. It suited our needs just fine, as we spent most of our time exploring the city.

Dirty and unprofessional

Upon entering the room there was a dead cockroach on the floor. Found mess in the bathroom which had not been cleaned from the previous guests, and there were brown hairs all throughout the apartment and in the bed. On our second day there we were told there was scheduled maintenance in the room which the owner of the apartment was made aware of. We were never told. My partner was sick in bed. We felt like we had no choice (as the rest of the building was a hotel) except to agree to let them come in and work because they would have to come back later. The general manager apologised and offered a bottle of wine, a nice gesture but not needed while feeling sick. Very unprofessional of the actual owner of the apartment to have agreed to the maintenance to be conducted while the room has been booked. Would not recommend or stay again.

Property is small. Wasn’t overly clean.

Booking was for 4. Arrived to find only one bed was made. Pull out sofa wasn’t clean. Old sheets that looked like they were stained were provided in a bag. 1.5 rolls of toilet paper for 4 adults for 4 days? Overall this unit is small, noisy and the cleaning of the unit was very poor. Not enough glasses provided to drink from. Location was great for getting to attractions.

Great price, perfect location, everything you need

This little apartment was perfect for our stay in Sydney! Was centrally located with bus stops and train stations right at your door step. Very central so we walked most places or used public transport. Building has a pool on the roof top (even though it was a bit too cold to use yet) and was well maintained. Apartment was clean and tidy. It was really good value for money and I would stay again. I only marked slightly down on comfort due to size - however I believe it would be considered an average sized Sydney apartment. Great value for money!
