Nice house

The house is very spacious! It was me and 7 other friends and we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. Clean for the most part, but the kitchen was a no for me. The pots and pans were crammed in the cabinet under the island counter, and we did not feel comfortable using them without disinfecting them with bleach that we had to buy. We also ran into a little issue and I contacted one of the owners through text and they never responded. Overall, it was a good stay. Perfect for large groups.

Weekend getaway

This house was a great weekend getaway for our family. We really enjoyed the hot tub and spacious living room. Conveniently located to everything stores, and attractions. Will stay again for next time visit. Owner can be easily contacted for questions and concerns.

Great Place to Stay !

Overall my friends and I thought that the house was great and looked even better in person. Very short drive from Camelback and the hot tub was perfect in the cold weather. However, there were a few dead bugs on the window seals and the driveway was not salted so we almost slipped multiple times coming in and out of the house.

Made the best of it.

I will start with the good things: The living room is really spacious and it was a cool place to hang out with everyone. The dining table is nice and big (weird chairs) which was really key for our large group. The kitchen is okay for cooking with and for a big group because of the little island. The screened-in deck is lovely and we made good use of the firepit. And here are the problems: When we arrived the house smelled so strongly of a fake fragrance that we had to open all the windows and doors to remedy this. Upon inspection, we found that 3 of the beds had been doused with this strong smell. This led us to wonder if the linens had been cleaned or merely sprayed to smell "nice". Because there was no washer and dryer there (contrary to the listing), my partner drove to the laundromat with the bed linens so that we and the rest of our guests would be able to sleep. We found only 2 forks, a big problem for a house with space for 10 people. Luckily a late-arrival guest brought some more. Kitchen and bathroom cleanliness were sub-par. The host answered one of my questions and then stopped responding, and did not offer any solution to the smell problem. Last but worst is that there is a CAMERA pointed towards the hot tub, something we didn't notice until our last day. Being that we were seven women and the hosts were all men, we found this extremely disconcerting, as would any person of any gender. Though it is legal to have cameras on the exterior of a rental property, they must be disclosed in the listing, which they are not. Since I did not think to take a picture of the camera, Evolve and Vrbo both can offer nothing to compensate us for this violation of privacy. We were given a refund of a relatively small amount that did not even equal the amount of the cleaning fee. I'm not very happy with this given that we spent a couple of hours dealing with the issues before we could even think of enjoying ourselves. For the cost, I would hope that Vrbo and Evolve would improve oversight of these properties and do more to hold the owners to a better standard. This could be a spectacular place if these things were taken care of and the host actually communicated.

Worst experience

The home was dirty and run down. My experience with the owners and with Evolve was not good. I will never deal with them again. Our weekend was ruined and only the cleaning fee was refunded. Evolve doesn't care about the customer.

Weekend Ski trip

A group of 8 friends got this place for a weekend ski trip. Overall, it was a last minute booking and got the job done. There were a lot of good sized bedrooms and multiple bathrooms, which was all great. The living room was a good size too. Biggest downfalls were that the kitchen was small and there was very very little kitchen cooking supplies (not 1 single bowl or baking sheet, dirty pots/pans, etc). Had the kitchen been bigger and cleaner, this place would have been great. There were random little things that could have been better as well (low water pressure, it was not shoveled, couldn’t use the hot tub, etc.).

Had a great with family

It was a great weekend we went to camel back resorts watch movies , the only thing I could complain about is the communication between the owner , I text him a few time with some questions and he never replied , and because he dint reply we don’t get to turn on the grill , I ask a basic question like what we do with the empty bottles and no reply , but we still had a good time decent house , this is our 10th rental house in the past 2 years so we got the hang of it

Meh.

First and foremost, the steps weren’t shoveled!!! They were semi covered in snow and icy. This house has PLENTY of space - including dead/wasted space with a middle room that isn’t pictured or listed in the description and is under utilized! You could fit two single beds in there & have more room for people to sleep. (We were a group of cousins & siblings & singles - no couples to share all the double beds - some singles or bunk beds in that room would’ve gone a long way) this house is good for a young group who is looking to party and crash. My thoughts may be sporadic here but I’m gonna run down the list we started to keep after the power went out TWICE the first night and the hot tub wasn’t working. I communicated with the owner about the hot tub and was told to contact the “father” and I reached out to no avail. I followed up with the contact/owner stating the “father” hadn’t answered or returned my calls and I never heard from anyone again. No follow up the next day, nothing. Also, they have a camera directly on the hot tub and around the perimeter of the home, none inside from what I could openly see. There was a used nail file in the basement on the table next to the couch - gross. Leftover coffee grinds IN the coffee maker!! An unidentifiable stain on a white pillow case in my bed. Leftover pong balls allll over the outside deck area - convenient, I’ll admit, but what bothered me about these things is every guest pays a cleaning fee and it doesn’t seem like it’s being thoroughly cleaned, if at all. There was a broken toilet seat lid in the upstairs main bathroom. The microwave top piece kept breaking off. We couldn’t figure out where the light switch was for the outside lights & the owners were no help when asked. The electric trash can lid in kitchen is broken. The water temperature in the 2 bed bathroom is BACKWARDS. We couldn’t find the trash compactor we were supposed to take our extra trash to. And last but not least, days before arrival I inquired about the grill to make sure we could use it & would have propane or bring my own charcoal. The listing says charcoal. The owner told me there would be propane in the tank of a gas grill. Great. I buy burgers, etc. The gas grill won’t turn on. The propane tank is empty..... a half decent owner would’ve ENSURED there was propane since I specifically asked. It’s just the little things. And they have a photo of a family member staring at you in the bathroom on the main floor kinda weird flex.

Away from home

4 bed rooms, 2.rooms has A/C, 2 rooms no A/C. We were 8 adults and dinnerware was as follows, 5 coffee mugs, shortage on silverware. Told there was a washer & dryer it was as locked up. Other then that we all had a fun weeked. The hot tub was great, the living room was huge, house was very clean. Great house to rent, but make sure all is corrected. My recommadation get 2 more ac units small ones, more tableware and you will have a beautiful home away from home.

Had a blast

The listing was just what we were looking for. We had a ton of fun using the karaoke machine and pool table. The house is in a great location to go to Camelback to ski.

Perfect Getaway home!! Will definitely return

The house overall was clean and 4bedrooms and 4 bathrooms says it all, it's perfect for party of 10. The heating was very warm and the livingroom is spacious to play games and hangout together with friends/family. Will always consider this spot when we head out to PA again.

Super clean and super nice house

I don't usually leave reviews, but I want to for this place. Nice owner, super spacious and clean rooms, one of the best guest houses near here. Nice view, and many tools and equipments are another big plus. Highly recomended.

Perfect location, very spacious!

The property was perfect for group of 9 of us. Dining table was right next to the kitchen and there was big living room space where everyone can gather together in a circle to do some card game/board game. All the bedrooms and bathrooms were nicely clean. And also the hot tub was working well which made our trip more special! We will definitely come back for our next ski strip and I strongly recommend this place.
