It's just a great place to spend time relaxing. A beautiful view of the ocean right out the back door with front row seats to the spectacular sunsets. The only thing that can be a downside (or plus) is it's located at the less developed side of the island, restaurants, etc. We really liked the Daniels restaurant suggested by the owner and went back a few times. There are several beaches close by to explore, we liked the two Knip beaches the best.

Beautiful location! Mountain view in the front, ocean as far as the eyes can see in the back! Comfortable and clean, friendly people close by, every local restaurant had terrific food. Would love to come back!

Wonderful secluded location

This home is in a great location with wonderful views of the ocean and great breezes to keep the place comfortable. Location allowed us to easily reach all the dive sites on that end of the island. Good hiking and great beaches are all close as well.

We had a fantastic time at the Sol Patch property. Lisa and Joel were easy to get in touch with and responsive to questions we had. The site was lovely and easy to get to, with beautiful views over the ocean and of the sky at night.

A million dollar view

A beautiful property with amazing views, not close to the main areas of the island, but we found some really nice restaurants near playa grande just a few minutes drive away. You definitely need a car but it’s well worth it.

This was our third stay in Curacao and this is the perfect spot! Location is amazing, view is unbeatable and the owners are just perfect. We had such a nice stay! We rented both units and had family visit us in the unit right beside. It was the perfect setup.

Relaxing and Wonderful

Everything was great! The house was secluded and in a beautiful location. It was comfortable and had everything I needed. The covered deck and private pool overlooking the Caribbean Sea were perfect. Joel was very helpful with information and recommendations. I really enjoyed my week there. Thank you for the awesome accomodations and hospitality.

Everything exceeded our expectations, starting with Lisa to help explain the VRBO process - this was our first VRBO property. Heinrich was great to work and made our stay more comfortable. Loved the the privacy of the property and how it's so quiet & peaceful. And safe! The pool was very cool and perfect for sunsets.

We loved the house and the view. Lisa and Joel were great hosts, we even happened to run into them one day while out and about and they showed us where to go to see the blue room cave. I would 100% stay here again if we come back. We even liked this house more than our second place on the island that we rented.

Awesome place on the ocean!

The property was perfect for a relaxing for a week in the sun and enjoying some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Lisa and Joel were easy to work with and helpful with navigating the island. This property is a duplex unit, but the owners have used landscape and walls to give good privacy. Very quiet part of the island. The plunge pool is so nice to cool off in while watching the sunset.

Fantastic oceanfront hideaway

This is a wonderful place, a peaceful location, with a very charming small house with amazing views, both sunset and moonlight. Curaçao was unusually hot when we were there but this was never a problem because of the breeze through the house and of course the pool. Many thanks to Joel and Lisa for the hospitality and all the kind advice on restaurants, groceries etc. We are already looking forward to our next trip and will surely be back!

Sunset bliss!

We couldn't have asked for a more peaceful and relaxing vacation! Sol Patch exceeded our expectations for our long anticipated and very much needed trip. The sunset views from our private pool is something we will remember for a lifetime! We're already planning dates for our return next year! Thank you Joel and Lisa for being such great hosts! Your recommendation for Sylvia's Thai food delivered right to our door was one of our favorite meals among many on island!

Peaceful, secluded space for visiting Western Curaçao

The hosts clearly put effort and care into making this a wonderful space for relaxation and a base for seeing all that the western end of Curaçao has to offer. In a secured, gated community, the small private pool was on a cliff overlooking the Caribbean plus the large deck was perfect for watching the stunning sunsets. Joel and Lisa were friendly, helpful and responsive before and during our stay. Rental car is a must. Would return here - strongly recommend.

A Tranquil Oasis on the Sea

My sisters and I had a wonderful time at the beautiful Sol Patch villa. Everything was perfect. We were primarily on a dive trip, and it’s located just minutes away from several dive sites. We enjoyed the way the space was organized. We had private rooms with fans and air conditioning, and plenty of breezy common open areas to hang out and have meals together, and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed lounging in the back with the gorgeous view and the little bird and lizard visitors. The tiny green and white hummingbird even stopped by long enough for a brief photo shoot! After a day of diving and sun, we looked forward to relaxing in the pool and watching the amazing sunsets. The hosts were very helpful, friendly and readily available to answer any questions we had. We hope that we’ll be able to visit again sometime soon!

Perfect island escape

The property is just as we like it out of the tourist areas and in the Hearst of what makes the island life perfect living. The property was very clear, great ocean view and a wonderful plunge pool for relaxing and looking out at the perfect water. A short walk to Playa Jeremi where we were often the only people enjoying the water. Not a far drive from some great snack spots and dinner options, as well as local places to explore the unique landscape of the island. We will be back.

If you want to totally relax….

Sol Patch 2 is my idea of heaven on earth. What could be better than morning coffee, gazing at the sea, with just the sound of birds, breeze, and the water? If you want an excited, action packed vacation, this is probably not your cup of tea. But if you want to totally relax, away from it all, and surrounded by beauty, this is the place!

Loved the Sol Patch Property

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the design of this property. Located on the Northwest end of the Island, it was a perfect place for awesome beach access and the parks. Located right facing the ocean, we were able to witness beautiful sunsets each evening while bathing in the small pool on the property. Kitchen amenities were great and saves money when you cook for yourselves...Although we did go out a couple of times for dinner at places recommended by Joel and Lisa. All in all, my wife and I had a great stay and highly recommend this property.

Bon bini! We invite you to be our guests in our Caribbean guest house on the beautiful island of Curacao. Bring your coffee out to the deck in the morning and watch the fishermen heading out to sea followed by the frigate birds and brown footed boobies. Glimpse a sea turtle cruising by or if you are lucky pods of whales or dolphins cruising up the coast. Since we face west you won't want to miss sunset out there followed by a night sky awash in stars.

Walk through our sleepy village of Lagun, to one of two neighborhood beaches. Cook in or dine out at one of many nearby restaurants. Tour the island's rural west end to find cosy beaches, beautiful beach entry dive sites, amazing hiking and mountain biking trails. Drive into Willemstad, a world heritage port capital, for shopping, dining, museums or to watch the tugs guiding huge tankers into port.
