Hermosa casa privada con muebles preciosos en la colina por encima de Bonaire en zona tranquila. Doble juego de puertas francesas se abren a una gran acogedor porche con muebles y techo ventiladores confortables con vistas a un exuberante jardín floreciente con Founatin, mirador y las luces en la noche. Usted tendrá que vivir aquí para siempre, nuestros otros inquilinos tienen!

Interior, la casa principal es una casa muy bien decorada. Pisos de cerámica en todo, dormitorio principal enorme con balcón, gran baño principal con tina. Dos amplios dormitorios adicionales también son encantadores y comparten un baño. Soleado cocina con barra de asientos. Mesas de comedor dentro y por fuera. Gran porche que se envuelve alrededor de la mitad de la casa, con vistas a un exuberante jardín maduro lleno de flores, fuentes, iguanas, loros de colores, mariposas, colibríes y una glorieta.

Stay on Bonaire

We had a Great time in this very nice villa, with a beautiful tropical garden. The kids reallly enjoyed the pool and we liked the veranda for good moments together. Virginia is a very kind owner and the communication was very easy. We definitely will come back!

2 week stay perfect

The house is big and clean. Mosquito nets on the terrace are enjoyable. Virginia communicates a lot for the arrival and if there is an issue. It is very useful. The area is calm but far from downtown. We enjoyed the stay very much.

Everything you need!

House is spacious and well furnished. All amenities are as listed. We dived every day and this property is centrally located to provide good access to all areas. Rinse bins and areas to hang gear were very accessible. The gardens are lovely, as is the pool! The host was very responsive and attentive to every need we might have! Would love to rent for This host again.

Amazing Stay!

Our group had a wonderful stay at this beautiful Bonaire property! Upon arrival, we were very well taken care of by the property manager. The host truly goes above and beyond with attention to detail, kindness, and care. She was easily contacted, as needed. The interior of the house was extremely clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The kitchen is modern and has everything you could possibly need. Renters may want to inquire about “Island Plumbing” in the bathroom (our group was totally fine with it). The large screened porch that looks onto the backyard is a lovely place to relax or enjoy a meal. The yard and tropical gardens are incredible! Beautiful flowers, shrubs, and trees, humming birds and parrots, etc. My 10 year old daughter really enjoyed the pool. The neighbourhood is quiet and we always felt very safe. The basement tenant is lovely. Overall, we HIGHLY recommend staying at this amazing property. Huge thank you to Virginia for everything and for sharing her beautiful Bonaire home with us. Our group hopes to return one day soon!

Nice getaway to Bonaire

House and grounds were beautiful, everything you could need and more, location central on island. Pool was a nice retreat anytime of the day. nicely decored and well kept, both inside and out. Having everything on one level and the airflow from front to back of the house, lovely place for one or several, highly recommend!

Very nice home

Great stay in well equipped home. Safe, convenient area. We loved the screened in porch. Host very easy to communicate with and very kind. Would definitely stay here again.

Einfach traumhaft! Extrem grosszügiges Haus mit schönem tropischem Garten. Grosses Wohnzimmer, sehr schöne Küche, exzellente Veranda und das grosse Schlafzimmer mit dem wundervollen Badezimmer. Alles ist sehr schön und liebevoll eingerichtet. Das ist eben der Unterschied wenn die Besitzerin auch selber das Haus bewohnt (war aber abwesend während unseres Aufenthaltes) Wir mieten seit 40 Jahren ein bis zweimal pro Jahr ein Ferienhaus irgendwo auf der Welt, aber so etwas Perfektes hatten wir zuvor noch nie! Virginia, die Gastgeberin ist einfach super! Vielen Dank nochmal, dass wir ihre Gäste sein durften. Extremly very high recommended!!!

This is a beautiful property- very bright, cheerful and sunny with lots of light and windows. There are many different places to just sit and read nap and get away. numerous fans above to keep you comfortable and cool., The landscaping is magnificent and many different birds/parrots sing to you all day long. There are the donkeys and goats of Bonaire on the road outside the house and plenty of places to walk or ride your bike. I wanted to go back the moment i left!!

Love the house and the neighborhood.

I, my wife, and grown son stayed for a month here. Another couple joined us for one of the weeks. We had rented another VRBO in the same neighborhood the previous year and had checked this one out during that earlier visit. The property is exactly as described. It is in a quiet location in nice, safe neighborhood with friendly residents. This particular property is mid-block, downhill side, on a dead-end street with a nice, foliaged yard -- both front and back. Although it is high up on the Santa Barbara hillside, the vegetation blocks the view. Hey, you can't have it all but if that's an issue, be advised. You also won't find a swimming pool. But this is Bonaire and we were there to enjoy the Sea. As divers/snorklers, we found the set-up for cleaning, rinsing and hanging gear on west the side of the house to be readily convenient. The back patio was a great place to enjoy breakfasts, dinners and gin/tonics in the shade on sunny afternoons. For security, the property is gated/fenced -- mostly to keep out the wandering burros. The house came well furnished and supplied. All we had to buy was our food to eat. Lots of condiments, etc. We ended up using the backyard grill at least 10 times. The Master bedroom and the bigger guest bedroom are air-conditioned. All rooms in the house and the back patio have a quiet, multi-speed ceiling fans. The two larger bedrooms also have cable TVs. There were plenty of towels and spare bedding. The is also a dishwasher and clothes washer that were easy to use. You won't get that sterile hotel/motel feel here when you arrive here. No scrambling to buy paper towels, toilet paper, and all the other odds and ends of everyday comfort. You really ARE staying in Virginia's home. Enjoy the place. We've already committed to next year.

Happy diver!

Would highly recommend this property for the large, lovely garden and convenient location. We had all we needed for a fabulous vacation- clean spacious home in a quieter neighborhood, but close to supermarket and scores of fantastic shore diving sites! You can't stay long enough to see all the beautiful underwater creatures here on the pristine reefs of Bonaire. Snorkeling opportunities abound as well! Much prefer a home stay like this with comfy beds, amenities (air conditioning), and a perfect patio on which to relax adjacent to the lush garden with fountain, instead of a spartan diver hotel. They even have the perfect setup for rinsing your dive gear and drying it out for the following day's underwater adventure! We can't wait to return!!

summer in bonaire

Excellent choice for an extended stay. We were there for one month and made several visits to the North and South from this central location. Quiet neighborhood, nice garden. Owner easy to deal with. If we go back to Bonaire, we will try to stay here again. A/C in two bedrooms works well which is nice for summer nights! Vehicle a necessity for this location.

Elegant paradise

I spent two deliciously comfortable weeks at this property. Every inch of this lovely home was decorated in a fashion that made me feel elegant. The kitchen is nicely laid out such that there was room for a group to get involved in the meal preparation. Everything was very clean. There are two choices for dining; one inside on a lovely formal dining table, and one outside on a round glass table, each was perfectly suited for a rousing game of cards with drinks, or a board game afterwards. The long length of porch on the back side of the house was my favorite spot to lounge and soak up the beauty of the incredible garden that wraps itself around the house. There was even a charming little tucked inside spot in the garden to eat or write. The bathrooms were very nice, water pressure great, and the beds were quite comfortable. The light plays differently all through the house so there were always inviting spots to sit and read or talk with my friend. The neighborhood felt very safe, and there was a gate that locked my car inside. I liked taking walks on the nearby streets to explore the area. Sometimes I was met by a friendly burrow, and always there was bird music. It was a short drive to the very friendly town and easy access to coastlines for swimming and diving. I was taken by how private and quiet staying at the Santa Barbara House was. When I left, my only need was to commit to another stay, and I would indeed, return again and again.

Spent two great weeks her...

Spent two great weeks here! I rate this well above the average rental, clean, comfortable, well maintained, beautiful garden area! Located a few minutes from downtown and near several great divesites. I will return!!!!! Highly recommended.

I bought my house in 2001 so I could retire and dive Bonaire. I sold it in 2016 and then bought it back in 2021 because I missed it and everything about Bonaire. I’m so happy to be back! When I’m not underwater I play tennis, hike in Montana and ride my bike.

Both the house and the garden sold us the minute we walked through the door years ago. It has not disappointed us since. It is such a gracious house and the garden keeps you entertained with birds and butterflies. The house is spacious and elegant and easy to live in.
