Enjoy the the sights and sounds of the forest; safe and peaceful escape only minutes from Central Ohio! Hike local trails and enjoy Rock House and Conkles Hollow only 7 miles away and 15 miles to Old Mans Cave. Our 3 story 2,200 sq.ft. cabin is located one hour from Columbus.
Enjoy the 3 acre wooded lot w/3 decks, 1/3 mile to beach access at the lake which is located on the drive into the property. Bring your kayak and fishing poles! Some poles are provided.
Main floor has a wood burning stove, fully stocked kitchen, dining area and 55” Big Screen TV/Living area. Enjoy 72MB high speed internet TV. Complimentary coffee bar and s’mores goodies for the campfire 🔥.
Newly remodeled basement has a Big screen TV along with Foosball for teens and fun games for kids.

The road up to the cabin is gravel and can be rough, but drivable. A SUV would be easier but not required, when it is not icy.

There are 3 bedrooms:
Bedroom #1 - 1st Floor w/Queen Bed and TV
First floor - Queen sofa bed
Bedroom #2 - 2nd Floor w/Full and 2-Single Beds
Bedroom #3 - 2nd Floor Master w/ King and private Balcony
Living room has a sleeper sofa
Basement is finished with wrap around couch, Futon and big screen TV with DVD player.

2 Full bathrooms with Tub/Showers - one downstairs and one upstairs
Fully equipped kitchen, Central Air and Electric Heat Pump, wood burning stove, gas grill on deck. Bath linens, Big Screen TV with local Channels & DVD Player. Good selection of movies.
Outdoor fire pit

Cell phone service is spotty in this area.
High speed internet and landline installed.
Limit to 2 fully house trained dogs. Please pickup after your pets and dispose of waste in the large garbage can.
No Smoking allowed in cabin or on decks.

This was a charming and beautifully decorated, cozy cabin! The host has provided everything needed for a family to enjoy their time there from a very well stocked kitchen with all the appliances, dishes and cookware you could need to movies and games for the family to enjoy. There is also a welcome basket with S'mores supplies on the table for guests, This is set back in the woods with several other cabins but it still feels secluded. The cabin was exceptionally clean and check in and out was very easy.There are security lights around the cabin that are welcome and come on with motion detectors, You can opt to turn porch lights on if you would like.Please note that there is a fenced in yard however the yard does slope down and part of it was overgrown. Kids would love it but it was a bit too much for our dogs. However the part of the yard where the campfire and chairs are set up is mowed and very usable so it just depend on what you are looking for. It is hard to find a fenced in yard in Hocking Hills,Also the road to these cabins can be tricky and an AWD or 4x4 is recommended.All in all we enjoyed our midweek stay here with our dogs and the host communication was very good.

We had a wonderful stay with our two dogs at this beautiful home in the woods. The design is perfect for allowing the dogs room to roam without us taking them for walk. They could access the deck, porches and yard which are all interconnected. The house is very comfortable and well laid out and stocked. The location is very private and the trees are amazing. The road in was accurately described - we were able to come and go in our mini-van, but could see how in rains or winter weather an SUV would be required. The host was very accomodating and the check in was very easy. The picture shows the view from the back deck that faces a ravine. This location is very near covered bridges and gives easy access to the Hocking Hills attractions, local restaurants and surrounding cities.

Very Spacious. Close to Hocking Hills. The lake could do without all the geese but other than that it was great for kayaking, fishing. Kids did enjoy romping in the lake

Quiet Getaway

We loved our stay at this cabin! We live in a rural community and it is never quiet. The quiet at this cabin was amazing! The property owner was always quick to respond to any question we had before our stay and even quickly responded to one we had while we were there. He was so kind and allowed us to bring a dog who was over the weight limit because our bigger dog is 11 years old and we couldn't leave him behind. Our small dog could easily escape under a hole in a fence...but there weren't any.! The owner had the entire area escape proof for our dogs. That was very important to us so we asked for an early check-in so that we could be sure they'd be safe. The property owner obliged. We never left the cabin because everything we were looking for was right there. Thank you for our wonderful stay! PS....If you ever sell it, let us know. :)

Great cozy cabin

This cabin was found last minute and did not disappoint. The host was wonderful and very responsive. The place was well stocked and very clean. My only negative is the master bedroom with Kng bed is big & comfortable but it’s actually a loft so be aware that all first floor noise will be heard . Also, the drive up the hill to cabin is pretty steep and full of big potholes (though freshly filled with gravel). 4x4 vehicle will do better than sedan! Overall very nice place. Would recommend.

Weekend Getaway

Great weekend getaway! Saw plenty of deer and even a bald eagle. Thankful the yard was fenced in so we could let our dogs explore. Definitely recommend having a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get up the hill.
