With Whales almost at the front door you'll see plenty of uninterupted action, plus you can take in views of the iconic ‘Bluff’ and ‘Granite Island’ beyond from a comfortable seat. Holiday on Hayward offers the ultimate escape to a picturesque seaside town. Just over an hours drive from Adelaide, Victor Harbor offers an abundance of recreational activities and is regarded as one of South Australia’s most popular beach destinations.

Long weekend away

The photos really dont show how magical this home is. A group of 8, with more space than expected, we had a wonderful time.The home has everything you could need, with a beautiful and quiet location, directly opposite the beach.Just the two comments to add, bring a large frying pan for your bacon and eggs, and some written instructions for the dishwasher would have been handy.The beds are comfortable, water pressure was amazing and there was a quiet spot for everyone to go to if needed.We would definitely love to come and stay again!Thank you, Dina, for a wonderful stay!

We had an amazing time at Holiday On Heyward. The views are incredible from both upstairs and downstairs. The house is very comfortable and spacious and had everything we needed. Highly recommend

Breathtaking views everyday

Group of mature ( mostly!) friends. Room for everyone and never get tired of gazing out at the views. Couldn't get much closer to it too! A bigger bbq would be a bonus for so many but we managed

We were a group of 8 adults and two children under 3, 4 night stay for my 60th birthday celebration. Property was large enough to accommodate all of us in extreme comfort and privacy. I had my family downstairs (4 adults and the children) and friends upstairs and with the 3 bathrooms we all had privacy and solitude when needed. Beds were really comfy and the great secluded parking at the rear of the property easily accommodated 5 vehicles. Sea views from all bedrooms and the main living area which was so nice. Well stocked kitchen (crockery/cutlery) and many items that had been left in the communal pantry which was nice...we left some coffee pods behind as our contribution! Quiet location and safe as at the end of a cul-de-sac. BBQ is small so for our large group we used the stove top and oven as well to cook enough food in one go. Owner (Dina) was really easy to communicate with and very friendly. Easy walk to the beach. Loved our stay.

Amazing location

The actual house lived up to the pictures online and the views were out of this world! Unfortunately when one of my travel partners arrived there was no key in the lockbox and despite many unsuccessful attempts to contact the owner spent over 3 hours outside in the rain. Luckily we found an insecure window and were able to gain access because we didn't hear back from the owner till 7am the following morning. Turns out they were holidaying in the US so didn't get our many messages till the following day. This is all well and good but they should have had an alternate contact who would actually answer the phone while they were away. If we weren't able to gain entry we would have been left with no accommodation overnight. They were very apologetic but I think the situation was not good enough and could have ended very badly. Turns out the key we found inside was the wrong key anyway. Aside from that the property is amazing and I wished we could have experienced it without the rain and 70km/hr winds. Amazing location and views you can't stop looking at.

What a treat! We were extremely impressed with Dina's beautifully appointed home, with 2 large bedrooms and a baby nook, a bathroom with views to die for and a stunning retreat lounge upstairs, 2 more bedrooms and ensuite, downstairs with kitchen and lounge dining area, and separate shower and toilet in the laundry area, this home has it all... Unsurpassed 180 degree sea views, a perfect spot to just sit and watch the everchanging seas and skies or to travel to the various towns and beaches the Fleurieu Peninsula has to offer. The whales were there but ever elusive, however, we did manage a few glimpses each day! We were loathe to leave after our 5 day break, and it wont be long before we head back to Holiday on Hayward, to do it all again... Thanks Dina for providing such a homely comfortable holiday home xxxx

This is a wonderful property with amazing levels of comfort and incredible views of the ocean. So close to the beach its a beautiful place to stay all year round.

Comfort, views from every window, great amenities, easy to care for and so this house offers a great chance to relax with family and friends, and it's so close to the beach, you can almost touch the sand from the front window.
We offer a high standard of accomodation with hight quality, comfortable double, queen and bunk beds and fresh linen being provided in all of the bedrooms and comfortable and functional furniture in all of the communal areas.
Outside we have provided a BBQ, plus outdoor settings and umbrellas for dining and relaxing outside, plus a table tennis table and boogy boards for guests to use as they wish.
The kitchen is well appointed with appliances, glasses, crockery and cutlery. We have an ezpresso machine and a dishwasher.
For families with young children we have a high chair and a cot which is available for use by our younger guests !
