Oceanfront Loft Life, SotoGrande, Cap Cana, Punta Cana

Este hermoso loft frente al mar se encuentra en SotoGrande, en la exclusiva zona de Cap Cana, a aproximadamente 15 minutos del aeropuerto de Punta Cana. Cap Cana es una urbanización cerrada con un puerto deportivo, campos de golf, establos para caballos, tirolesa, playas y excelente comida. Estamos ubicados a una corta distancia a pie del hotel Sanctuary, Secrets y la playa de Juanillo.

El Loft Life ha sido completamente remodelado e incluye ropa de cama, artículos de cocina, muebles y accesorios nuevos. Es un loft en el tercer piso con techo abovedado que tiene la cocina, 1/2 baño y sala de estar en la planta baja. El piso de arriba tiene un dormitorio con una cama king-size y baño completo con inodoro y ducha a ras de suelo. Si aprecia un lugar que incluye todo lo que necesita, entonces este lugar es para usted.

Hubo dos cosas que nos vendieron en este loft.

1) Las vistas son absolutamente asombrosas. No hay mejores vistas en todo Cap Cana (buscamos mucho). ¡La hora dorada con un mojito en nuestro patio es una de nuestras actividades favoritas!

2) La privacidad aquí es algo que no encontrará en otros resorts. No queríamos tener que luchar por las sillas de playa, esperar en largas filas, escuchar los portazos de los hoteles y sentir que íbamos a ser molestados todo el tiempo. Cuando nos vamos a la playa queremos poder disfrutar de buena comida, diversión y dormir tranquilos por la noche.

This is an amazing facility, and we highly recommend it for travelers looking for relaxation and peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of an all-inclusive resort.The host is very knowledgeable about the area, provides helpful advice and contacts, and is responsive to all inquiries. The pool area always has plenty of places to sit and relax.The complex is somewhat isolated, so if you want to leave the property you’ll likely need transportation such as a taxi, rental car, or golf cart to explore other parts of Cap Cana.We really enjoyed Sanctuary Town for dinners and found the dining options there to be good compared to other areas. The views from the condo are amazing, and the listing is exactly as described.Cap Cana overall felt more upscale than many other areas, especially around the marina. However, we mostly came to relax, and aside from one day exploring, we spent most of our time enjoying the pool and the peaceful setting. The grounds are very well maintained, and they work hard to keep the sargassum out of the small bay.We would definitely book this unit again.

This was our first trip to Punta Cana and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. What a great location. This place has an incredible view and is very quiet and relaxing. We spent a lot of our time in the huge pool.Kelly was fantastic to deal with. Very clear instructions and a great list of places to eat.She always checked to see if everything was ok . I would definitely stay here again.

Stellar spot by the ocean!

We LOVED this Vrbo. Everything was clean and it had all the amenities we needed. It even had a cooler, and beach towels which was so convenient for our stay. The view of the ocean from the windows was jaw droppingly gorgeous. Our host Kelly was very responsive and helpful with local restaurants to eat and checking in with us almost daily. We hope to come back soon!

The loft was beautiful and just as advertised. The views from the condo are stunning. The condo has everything you need and is in a great location. The grounds crew is constantly working to keep the pool, beach and grounds of the complex clean. Kelly is the best at ensuring her guests are well taken care of. She checked in periodically and was always available to answer any questions we had during our stay. When we arrived in the DR we found out our cellphone carrier did not offer available data in the area and therefore using GPS was not an option for directions to the condo and speaking to locals was a challenge because of the language barrier. Fortunately, we were able to call Kelly and she was so kind and caring to help us navigate our way to the condo. We couldn’t ask for a better experience.

Amazing Vacation

Our stay at the loft at Sotogrande was amazing. The view from the unit is spectacular and we enjoyed every second of it. Getting around Cap Cana was very easy via taxi and everyone was always very polite and helpful! We will definitely be back- Juanillo Beach was our favorite spot!

Thank you for staying with us. We are currently getting new roofs and other repairs after getting hit with a hurricane recently. None of the repairs will affect your stay with us and did not damage our loft. Weather, beach and pool in the gorgeous Cap Cana are waiting for you! Gorgeous Juanillo Beach and it's amenities are one mile away if you want a larger beach. Hope you come back and stay with us again!

Beautiful and peaceful

Our Condo was in excellent shape, well appointed and everything worked great. The pool was very large and very clean. A bit remote but once we found the restaurants in Cap Cana all was well.

Exactly as it looks on the pictures.

Nice and quiet, very pretty. A short walk to Jaunillo beach and Little Johns beach bar and restaurant is a must. Catch a taxi to Cap Cana Marina for $3, walk the canal and stop at API bar & grill. Also Sanctuary Town has some nice eating. Very short walk. We hated to leave.

Love Loft Life!

The Sotogrande is a beautiful property and this loft condo is just gorgeous. The owner is very responsive and attentive. I felt like I was in my own home because every amenity is available for renters' use including kitchen utensils, pans, blender, coffee maker, Bluetooth speaker and plentiful beach towels. The view from both balconies is spectacular, the staff so friendly and helpful and the pool is divine! We will definitely be back!

Here’s “The Best” VRBO recipe for success…*An AMAZING location / condo, with a BEAUTIFUL VIEW, owned / operated by an EXCEPTIONAL / EXTREMELY HELPFUL host(s) that treat their visitors like family!!! We’ve been using VRBO for several years and this is one of if not our best experience so far… I’m recently retired (Jan 2025) and am on the hunt for locations where we want to spend extended time for international R&R with cultural submersion - this definitely qualified as a top contender. Watching sunrises, enjoying the beach(es), pool, local cuisine, people, wildlife while staying in a meticulous cared for “home feeling” condo has given us reason to visit again. wonderful view!

Great property, must have rental car because it is not within walking distance of anything. Was disappointed that we were not informed ahead of time of all the renovations going on at Soto Grande. No Hot Tubs ....looked like they haven't been used for quite some time. The property was beautiful and all of the employees were exceptional.

Loved Loft Life

We have just returned home from our wonderful vacation at Sotogrande. I’m not sure how they did it, but Kelly and Pablo have found a little piece of paradise. The condo has amazing ocean views, and we fell asleep each night listening to the crashing of the waves. The condo was stocked with everything we needed, and Kelly was was quick to reply if we had any questions. The resort itself is very quiet, but a short walk up the beach takes you to The Sanctuary a beautiful all inclusive resort and a little further, is an awesome beach bar called Little Johns. I would recommend getting a car because Cap Cana is very spread out. Taxi’s are very cheap inside Cap Cana, but don’t come as promptly as you might like.

Relaxation with a View

What a prefect place to unplug and unwind. Well, I did have to work a bit during my stay and was thankful for the excellent wifi connection! Everything was great. The views from the condo are spectacular and the balconies offer a chance to relax in the sun in a quiet environment (with Apple TV music channels available!). Comfortable bed and the upstairs bath is spacious and accommodating. Plenty of closet space and a well-appointed kitchen. The resort itself has good food and drink and poolside service! It's a pretty short walk to the neighboring beach which has fun beachside restaurants (and more drinks...). I did my trip without a car and didn't feel "trapped" at the resort. Kelly, the owner, is very responsive and can give great tips on things to see and do. Enjoy your stay! I did!

We just returned home from the DR and staying in the condo. I will say the photos accurately depict the unit. To no fault of the owner, the seaweed was absolutely out of control during our trip. So much so that there was zero chance of enjoying the beach and the view of the water from the room was brown water. Vaguely, in the distance you could see pretty blue water that everyone comes to the DR to see. Again, no fault at all of the manager/owner. The manager was responsive to the few texts I sent asking for recommendations. The property itself - getting there from the airport was a breeze. We rented a car which is a MUST when you're not staying at an all-inclusive in the DR. The property itself was an absolute ghost town. I wasn't sure if we screamed if anyone would even hear it. The parking lot had maybe 10 cars in it and we only saw about that many people the whole time we were there. Finding building 6 from the garage was confusing - even finding the lobby from the garage was confusing... but we managed to figure it out. The building and grounds are showing their age. There's an abandoned restaurant on-site, fountains that no longer work, part of the pool was under construction, construction happening in the unit right next door to us that was noisy. We found the area to be limiting on food options and overall things to do since the beach wasn't an option at the condo. Every activity was 45 min away in Punta Cana. Overall, I def would not return.

Sorry to hear that your stay in the Dominican Republic was not all you imagined it to be. I try to make your stay at our loft an incredible experience. That being said I believe that your review is not based on your experience at our loft but with the Dominican Republic in general. Our buildings have under gone a $15 million dollar renovation over the last year. New roofs, painting, glass panel railings and more. It looks spectacular. The sea grass issue is wide spread across all of the Caribbean and into Mexico. Our maintenance team works hard to keep it at bay but this summer has been exceptionally challenging. The beach is clear as of this week. This is also Hurricane season in the DR so there are less people traveling and staying in Sotogrande. We prefer less people and are the exact opposite of an all exclusive. There are over 20 restaurants in Cap Cana and some of the best in all of Punta Cana including Noah and Barbudo. Not to mention the other hotel restaurants! There is even a very good food delivery service. As far as noise from maintenance is concerned you did not bother to notify me or I would have had the property manager check on this. Our last guests did not mention any disturbance. Overall I should have probably screened you a bit further to make sure you were in alignment with staying in a highly rated vacation rental since the stay you’re describing looks like you were more inclined to stay in an all inclusive. YES...Book it!!!

My Wife and I stayed here late February-early March 2024. Lets start out with the most important basics. Communication with owner was ALWAYS prompt and courteous. Cleanliness of property was excellent. Bed was comfortable and views were SPECTACULAR! This unit is exactly as pictured. What we especially liked: We had the very large pool practically to ourselves the entire stay (We saw at most five other people there when we were at the pool and the same was true for the beach area), unit was an easy 15 minute trip from the airport and Punta Cana, everyone must pass through security when entering the Cap Cana area, resort was nice and quiet and the views the views the views!!!! Possible down sides: Fairly good walk from reserved parking spot (staff can provide transport via golf cart when you check in for a little tip), hot tubs were not functioning, steps leading to bedroom totaled 19, and overall resort (NOT UNIT) in need of MINOR cosmetic repairs which they were actually in the process of undertaking while we were there with only minimal disruptions. If you go, be sure to check out nearby Juanillo Beach which was one of our favorites. Finally, would we rent this unit again? YES!

Recent stay in paradise!

We just spent a week here in paradise! The loft condo is beautifully decorated. It’s modern and clean and has all the comforts of home. The kitchen is fully stocked, the WiFi is great and added bonus-it has Netflix. The loft bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed. We loved falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean waves lapping on the beach and waking up to to the breathtaking views. It is a corner unit and the panoramic views of the Caribbean are amazing. We spent a lot of time in the mornings and evenings on the balcony while drinking our coffee/cocktails enjoying the views and the non-stop Caribbean breeze. If you are looking for a quiet, secluded vacation away from the crowds this place is for you. We practically had the beach and pool to ourselves the entire week. We rented a car and enjoyed dinner out each night. There are many great restaurants close by and we even ventured out of Cap Cana. On the way from the airport to the condo we stopped at the supermarket per Kelly’s suggestion for water, ice. cocktail makings, breakfast and lunch items. The pool and beach are situated in close proximity to the condo so it was very convenient to stop back up for snacks or refresh our cocktail while lounging at the pool/beach. Kelly is a great host- was very helpful and promptly answered any questions that we had. We highly recommend staying here. Our only regret is that we had to leave! We are already planning our next trip. Thank you Kelly for sharing your beautiful home with us.

We will be back!

This is the first time we have visited the DR and we Absolutely Loved it! We were celebrating our anniversary and wanted a more quieter area, away from the spring breakers, and Cap Cana gave us exactly what we wanted! Everyone in the resort was so accommodating, they became like family by the end of our trip, which unfortunately we had to cut short due to the incoming snow storm in the Northeast! The loft is beautiful and is located in a perfect spot, great views from the balconies etc.. The owner Kelly was TERRIFIC, she continued to communicate with us and give us pointers before and during our trip. We did have a major issue with the freezer/refrigerator (which was no fault of Kellys), the freezer was not working, so we never had ice during our trip and the refrigerator was not very cold and it was leaking and making loud noises. We notified Kelly and she called someone right away and they came out however, the problem was never fixed prior to our departure. This is the only reason why we did not give it a 5 star, we really like to have happy hour/cocktails on the deck, but being that we did not have ice it was hard to have a cold drink. One thing to keep in mind, if you like it dark when you sleep, you will not have this being that the loft is all open and there are no blinds for the top windows, we usually like it dark but we did not mind At All being you wake up to absolutely beautiful views! Overall we had a Fantastic experience, I would highly recommend the all inclusive option, especially if you like to drink and eat, the food is Great and there is a different menu for dinner (only) every night. Thanks again, to the owner Kelly for always keeping in touch and giving advice and taking care of us! She also left us a bottle of Ice wine, but unfortunately we did not get to drink, we were saving it for our last night but with having to book a last min. flight to get home we never had the opportunity to open the bottle. The gesture and thought was so nice! We Loved Cap Cana!

Thanks for choosing the Loft Life and we welcome you back anytime. Sorry your stay was cut short by the snowstorm in the NE US. After the maintenance dept. checked the freezer it turned out that the cleaning service had changed the setting causing the ice inside to melt and when it was adjusted to the correct temperature it frosted over. So they defrosted it and it works perfectly again. We have a automatic blind for the top window but it needs a repair. We actually love waking up to the amazing view and having a coffee in bed so we didn't fix it. Come back and stay again!

Beautiful condo, exactly as shown in pictures. The entire complex is clean, well groomed and very well maintained. Good quality bed linens and towels which we always appreciate. This condo has a million-dollar view of the beach, ocean and pool-absolutely stunning. Kelly was a pleasure to deal with and very quick to respond to any queries we may have had. Excellent information provided with regard to accessing the property as well as helpful general information about services and amenities available in Cap Cana. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Private escape

We thoroughly enjoyed our quiet stay at SotoGrande It was an easy jaunt from the PC airport and to several restaurants We used taxis If you want a place to get some R and R this would be the spot Despite the sea weed, which was cleaned daily, our beach was the best we visited Man, those guys worked hard to make sure we had a clean beach Top notch service from first contact through the end of our trip If we decide to go back, we will rent again from Kelly Thanks for sharing your retreat with us

Would be almost perfect if not for seaweed

Unfortunately the amount of seaweed disrupted the beautiful view and our ability to swim in the ocean. The water looked brown and I did not want to swim in it or even walk along the shore. Workers were shoveling it up but it was impossible to manage and also smelled bad near the large piles. We ended up driving an hour away to find a pretty beach to enjoy. The condo was secure, safe, and quiet. We saved our location once we found it to help us navigate to it better. It’s easy to get turned around. We were unable to find open restaurants such as “little John” that was often mentioned. A car is needed. When we tried to walk along the beach, we were stopped by security. there seemed to be a lot of construction around and was very deserted. When we arrived there were ants coming in under the front door and making there way into the kitchen sink/counter/cabinets. We found spray and that seemed to helped but made me weary of cooking. The place was very cozy and cute. I loved the bathrooms. The king size bed was great. Unfortunately, the top blind could not be opened for us to enjoy the view from upstairs. I would stay here again if the seaweed was gone. Once we got the hang of driving around and finding some spots to eat it was better. The owner is very kind and easy to communicate with.

We have vacationed all over the world and have always been drawn to the Dominican Republic. Cap Cana is a beautiful area away from all of the "touristy" Punta Cana all-inclusives. The people are great, the food excellent, and the water always 82 degrees.
