French Cottage & Loft (close to Montville) has loads of character and is the holiday home of a Brisbane restaurant family. Ideal for three families with kids, multigenerational family get-togethers and accommodation for local weddings. It features quality beds, a log fire and firepit, plus a gourmet kitchen where you can use the herbs and fruit from the garden. A dining gazebo overlooks one acre of stunning gardens and coastal views. You have total privacy -- a Petanque court, and lots of secret places to discover for the kids. 30 minutes to the beach.
Your opportunity to totally get away from it all ... enjoy food, wine and laughter.

Unfortunately, I am unable to allow even small weddings due to the location of the house.

The french cottage is a lovely well equipped home. We stayed for christmas and had everything we needed for entertainment and cooking needs. Very quiet spot and a beautiful outlook.

A perfect location for a family celebration

We celebrated our mum’s 90th birthday here and it was everything we wanted. Spacious, full of charm, so well equipped. We loved sitting around the outdoor table soaking in the view and listening to the birds. We plan to be back for many other celebrations.

Charming cottage with stunning views!

This cottage was perfect for our extended family get together. Gorgeous cottage, stunning views, plenty of room, quiet and secluded yet convenient to town and all the tourist spots plus supplied with all the essentials and necessities.Everyone agreed that the charm of the cottage, the outlook, the outdoor area, the fire pit and the VIEWS were amazing. Thanks for having us and we will be back.

Absolutely Stunning

Beautiful home, spectacular views and gardens, spotlessly clean and quality throughout. Very private and peaceful, yet minutes from Mapleton. We had a truly memorable short break away with friends and can’t recommend the French Cottage highly enough.

Hygge escape

A weekend getaway with our small family at the French cottage and loft was a delight. Tucked away and private but showcasing the amazing views of the hinterland valley and close to mapleton/montville. Excellent communication with the host and the cottage had lots of essentials already available to us including some thoughtful features for our small children.We loved our escape.

Wonderful Getaway

An amazing house in lovely gardens. Lots of room. Lovely outdoor areas. Warm cosy fires indoors and outdoors. Everything you could possibly need for self catering holiday. We will hopefully stay again next year

Beautiful property

What a gorgeous place to celebrate my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary. We will cherish the memories created here - special meals, watching the sunrise from the deck, toasting marshmallows, lawn games, running through the pretty gardens. Thank you for all the extra creature comforts too

Easter Weekend Family Gathering

The French Cottage and Loft was perfect for 3 generations of our family to enjoy the Easter Weekend together. The kitchen is amazing and it made even cooking on holidays a joy. The gardens are well maintained and so nice to spend time just relaxing. The Mapleton IGA was very well stocked with lots of gourmet products, was a nice surprise when lots of other establishment were closed the Easter weekend. Highly recommend, would definitely stay again.

The Best!

We had an enjoyable stay. Everything was as stated in the ads. The property was very clean, the kitchen was extremely well equipped, and we certainly enjoyed the wood fire in the lounge room. We would, as a group, and as individuals stay there again.

Perfect rainy retreat.

Wonderful stay despite days of rain, post Cyclone Seth. Superb location and gorgeous home. Hope to return in the winter time for crisp air and extensive views and a roaring fire to snuggle up beside.

Our family ran a French restaurant in Brisbane for 37 years and French Cottage was our escape from that hectic life. I also owned an art gallery so the house reflects these two passions -- a very well equipped kitchen and lots of art. Now I am retired and my adult kids are busy with their lives, I wanted other people to be able to keep the house alive and enjoy the magic.

This property is set in beautiful gardens, secluded and totally private. It is an escape from the city in a charming part of the world, the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. It is an hour and a half drive north of Brisbane.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Experience another way of life, if only for a few days. The perfect place to join friends and family for laughter, good food, and wine. If you book a weekend, you now get a late check-out on the Sunday of 5 pm.

The house is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The beds are really comfy with hotel-quality linen.

A great jumping-off point for short drives to small villages (like Yandina, Palmwood, Montville, Maleny and Kenilworth) in this verdant dairy farming area. 30 minutes to the coast and the beaches.
